By Imam W. Deen Mohammed
Imam WD Mohammed:
Thank you. Praise be to Allah. We greet all of you in peace, with the greetings of peace, Asalaam Alaikum. We thank Allah, we say Alhamduillah Rabbil Al Amin. The praise is for G-d, the Lord, Keeper and Sustainer of all the worlds. And we witness that Muhammad is His last Prophet and His servant and His Messenger, Sa Ala Alahi Wa Salaam. That is the Prayers and the Peace be upon him. Let me get my eyeglasses here. This is Newark, New Jersey and the surrounding areas has a lot of life in the garden here. We just need to work the garden more. Yes siree. I had planned to pay a courtesy call to the Mayor, Mayor Sharpe James. And every time I come here, I want to do that. He's a strong man, great Mayor and it takes a special Mayor of a big city, big area like this to risk making a personal contribution of dollars out of his pocket to our school in this city. I was already admiring him, but when I saw him do that, I said this is a very special man, very special man. And I hear he's running for a sixth term. He's been here, he's been in this position a long time and if I was a resident here, he wouldn't have to ask me for my vote.
The mic is a little sensitive. I'll stand a little back from it, but I hope everyone can hear me. It's important to hear. Once I waited like 15 minutes or more, I guess they thought they were going to close us down. I'd give up but I waited like 15 minutes or more until they got the mic right. Because you're wasting our time if you're not hearing it. When we speak, we need to be heard, not to speak and people can't hear you. I think everything's fine. I shouldn't be so close to the mic. I stepped back a little bit. It'll be okay I think
Now I received an invitation to come here some time ago. It's been a good little while ag.o And I asked Rafa, Rafa is now handling my itinerary. My daughter was handling it before, my daughter, Layla. I'm sure most of you remember her, especially Imams here in leadership. Layla was taking care of my travel schedule and everything. Rafa is now taking care of it. I said, Rafa, I said, what all I have to do there? I got a lot to do back home. I want to know how long I'll be away from home. But he said, well, he said, first is a business, business meeting with the business people. I said well business meeting, what time is that? He told me. I'm trying to get it all done in one day, save me time and get back home. He said, no, you got to stay over because Sunday there's going to be a meeting and also a public address. So I am here to do the public address. And I'm so happy to see so many of you all here for the public address. I thank Allah for you.
Now, our Imam, Imam Akbar, he was constantly in communication with Rafa who is my public relations person working with me in public relations, mainly for the radio broadcast, the live broadcast that we give every first Sunday. But as I said recently, I asked him also to take care of my itinerary, which he had done before. He used to take care of my itinerary years ago. He just walked in up the aisle there. That's him with that beautiful rust leisure suit on there. Hey man, you looking better than me. It looks good Brother Rafa. Yeah, he takes care of me and I take care of him. The brother's the mirror for his brother, right? Yeah. Well, I try to be his mirror to show him how he's looking and he'd be my mirror and show me how I'm looking. And I'm truthful. I'll tell him if some specks and some dirt, some filth got on him there. I'll tell him right away and I think he'll tell me right away too. That's how we protect each other, brother.
Yes. The good friend will not overlook what's hurting his friend, bad morals or whatever. The good friend will not overlook what hurting his friend. Something's not nice or not appearing nicely on his physical person, you take care of that. But more important is what's hurting his inward, his internal life, his inside picture, the picture on the inside. So, we have to take care of each other and then we have a beautiful life and strong community. But if all of us be like most people are in the public nowadays in the neighborhood, they pass over fault. They don't point to any fault. They let their friends just get in all kind of moral trouble and whatever, but never pull their coat or pull 'em back. Muhammad the Prophet, Prayers and the Peace be on him. He said, "Help your brother whether he's in the right or in the wrong." And they said, "Oh Prophet, Oh Messenger of G-d, how do we help one when he's in the wrong?" He said, "Help him by pulling him back from the wrong."
And that's a true friend, a true brother. More than anything it is important to have life situated to go where the Creator made it to go. We have to have life situated to progress to where G-d wants our life on this planet earth. And we are not called individual Muslims. In fact, if you read the Qur'an, if you remember read the Qur'an, which you do I'm sure especially in Ramadan, the fast month. You can't recall too many places in the Qur'an where G-d addressed us "Oh Muslims." But you can find on every two or three pages almost sometimes G-d addressing us. "Oh believers. Oh believers."
So where is the life that we should be attending? Is it in the Muslim identity or is it in the people's identity as a people of faith? It's in the people identity as a people of faith. That's where our real identity starts, in faith. The Muslim identity we are created with it. It's the natural nature core life imprint that G-d puts on every human being, every human being, during the formation or creation of every human being, every child. And hence the Prophet said "Everyone is born a Muslim but becomes otherwise, something else because of the circumstances that they have put in." Like if you take a child from parents or from a mother. For some reason she can't care for it or whatever and then that child grow up into adoption, maybe adopted by Japanese and coming to a Japanese family household, where nothing is spoken there as language except Japanese. That child will grow up speaking Japanese and that child will grow up having the cultural life of the Japanese.
It will have the personality, the sound, and look of the Japanese even though it be an African. Also, we should understand the Muslim life or the Muslim inborn life the same way we understand that. He comes here innocent, not a criminal, though he's born from a criminal. His father was a criminal, his father was a hardcore criminal. But when his mother birth him, she does not birth a criminal. She births a baby ready to be guided, cared for and shaped and molded in a beautiful life if there's adults around there for the baby to take care of the baby and give the baby the proper environment for a future life and health and prosperity. So that will happen. That's the Muslim life. So, when you feel bad inside because you are not producing like you want to, that's the Muslim nature. When you feel pain of something you did, that's the Muslim nature. When you feel impatient with your community, they're not producing and going in the way Allah wants us to go. That's the Muslim in you. All that you are born with from a mother, that life is formed in the mother and you are born with that when you are delivered from your mother, that's the Muslim, that's the original Muslim. That's the original man that Allah says who is the original? No, Allah doesn't say that. Somebody else said that.
I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Allah does not ask questions. Allah guides us, He does not ask questions, He knows what He created, He knows what is being born. That was another fellow who said that. A big friend of ours, the biggest friend a black man has ever had. His name was WD Muhammad or Master Fard Muhammad. That's who said that. He said, who is the original man? The original man is the Asiatic black man. We didn't come from Asia; we came from Africa. But he said the Asiatic black man and you didn't ask him any questions. You didn't say, "Hey, were not from Asia, we're from Africa. You see how hypnotized you were? So very hypnotized that you didn't recognize any problem in his language, but he knew he had problem in his language. He gave you problems. He created a little pamphlet from himself that said Problem book number one, Problem book number two. Student enrollment question and answers, et cetera.
Actual fact. He named something actual fact. So that means he gave you something that wasn't actual fact. If he had to name one piece of actual fact that tells us beyond a shadow of a doubt that he was saying that all he gave you was not actual fact, he gave you something that wasn't actual facts. But it was good to stimulate your interest, arouse your curiosity and get your brain cells to working. Alright. Masterful psychologists and a master teacher, I have researched him thoroughly and I know that before he came to us, he was on Fiji Island. He got a great following there. They're from Asia, they're Indians of origin, they're of Indian origin and they call him Master Chief, Honorable Master. And those of us who were, like my father and mother and a few of us still around the elderly, they know he was first introduced himself as Professor, Professor WD Fard. And then later he accepted to be called Master Fard, Master Fard. When I was a little child under 10 years old or so, my mother used to refer to him a lot and the older members of the Temple of Islam used to refer to him a lot as Master. He called him the Master. Anyway, he was a friend, no doubt about it. He was a powerful friend and as I said, the greatest human friend that I know of in the history of African-American people.
Yes. So, getting back to the life, the life that we should have in our mind that we should be looking at. It is the Muslim nature but more importantly it is the life of faith in G-d. And we had faith in G-d before we became Muslims. And many of you had strong faith in G-d before you became Muslims. And you heard something in Mr. Fard's teaching the Master. You heard something in his teachings that got your attention, and it held you like a magnet holding a little piece of metal, strong magnet holding a piece, a little piece of metal. It held you for this time right here. That's what it held you for. It held you for this time right here. This is a great day. All of that was night behind us, like a baby formed in the womb or in the body of it's mother who has to be in the dark for nine months, the average time it takes for delivery. And at the end of nine months, it's delivered into the world of its family and the human family on this planet earth.
Yes, but it had to be kept in the dark for nine hours. Was any of that time in the dark a waste of time? No, we couldn't see it. Nobody outside the environs of that baby could see what was going on. Now that they got detectors and whatever to detect what's going on and even to register sound and register the pulsating life inside the womb and give a picture. They have devices that give you a picture of what's happening in the womb. That's science, great science and technology. But for a long time, many years, many years for most of the time behind us, we had to wait to see. We couldn't even know what the sex going to be. Now they say it's a boy, it's a girl. But we had to wait. We couldn't know that. So we were kept in the dark but the Lord Creator was forming life in that environ we call the womb or the life of the mother. And as I was about to say, no time is being wasted. Oh, what's taking so long. What's happening in there? Great things are happening in there.
Something that is so small. Now let's think of it not as material. Let's think of it as value. Value. Something has happened with something so small the eye can't even see it. The human eye can't see it. Only the microscope can see it, can see it. And it's in a watery, watery field, a milky field, an opaque field, a kind of cloudy substance. And the life is there in the clouds. And it begins to feed on its environs, on its environment within his mother. It begins to feed, and as it feeds, it grows and it gets bigger and bigger. And it grows from stage to stage. Comes from looking like a little mineral under the microscope that's swimming in the water, as this is going to be the birth of a big fish, not a human being. It looks like a little fish, a little minnow, real small minnow or something. It doesn't look like it's going to include a human being. It's a fish growing. It's going to be a big fish, I guess. No, it's going to be a man or it's going to be a woman one day. its a female, it's going be a woman one day. It's a male germ. It's going be a man one day. It looks like now it doesn't look like a human at all. It looks like a little bitty microscopic fish.
Think about these things. And after a while it takes another shape and it starts to look like a little human being, little human being. And it's growing up, just growing up, becoming big and bigger. Look like it's in a reclining chair. And goes on to the next stages. Now it's looking just oh, this is a real human being there. And when it's time, near time for delivery, it's just more erect and starts making sajdah, bows. And come right out the gate of the mother's body in sajsah. The most important thing that G-d is delivering is the head.
And if the head ain't working, ain't no life in the head and you in the hospital, what the doctors say? Dead. Though your body still has life, still life in your body. But the doctor can't get any response from your brain. So, the doctor says the baby is virtually dead. Do you want to keep him or her on life support or would you like for us to just give up on life support and let the life go the way G-d is taking it? Yes. So, this is the life that's forming in the dark. If I tell you that Brother Minister James Shabazz, great Minister, never got out of the womb but he did form, he was complete in the womb. And he had a whole world there. He had a lot of you all there with him. Multiple, multiple pregnancies. And that the Honorable Elijah Muhammad was like a nursemaid giving prenatal care, to the life inside the womb.
But he was in there too. He was in there too. But he had given prenatal care to the life in there. He turned out to be a very special, very special germ inside of the mother, mother Nation of Islam. Very special germ inside of the mother. So he was able to attend to the special needs of himself and those also those forming in the womb. And I was in there and he was giving me special attention. And telling my mother "Give that boy special attention." Even Mr. Fard. He sent a letter inside the mother and the letter reached my mother and the letter said, "Take good care of Walllace and keep your promise to me."
Okay, all that's going on in the womb. And we had a big meeting in the womb. And the Honorable Elijah Muhammad thought he wasn't going to make this meeting. But he felt good enough to come and he told me, a little church can you believe that? Saviors Day in a church inside mama. Nine months is not there yet. And he said to me, he looked at me, you understand? I think he was fully developed as a human being. He wasn't no minnow; he wasn't no fish. I can tell you that right now. And he looked at me on the stage while he was speaking, turned around and looked at me and when he turned around to say what he was going to say the audience, he said, I'm David.
He said but my son is following, he's going to build the temple, he's going to build the temple. That's what he said of me. And I'm sitting there, little boy in the womb, got little water around me and anything else, but luckily my water was clean and I heard what he said but it never really took a serious grip on my mind. Now he makes this farewell talk, his last talk and he talked about important things for us to remember so we can keep growing and develop to be ready for delivery. And he died. He didn't die outside, he died inside, inside the womb. He died. He wasn't reclining anymore. He was up straight, sitting up straight. So, he died. He was not delivered and many died with him, but many were delivered. Now I stayed in the womb for at least 10 years after his passing. Then I started to make sajdah, coming out. And behind me came a multitude making sajdah, coming out. And now we are out into the big world. We should be grateful to our parents, grateful to the womb that bore us. Yes, we should. Respect your parents and be grateful to the womb that bore you. And now we are out here and G-d knows that no matter where you thought I was going, G-d was guiding me all the time, no matter where you thought I was going. And I have always been respectful of my parents no matter what you heard coming from my mouth, I've always been respectful. I've always loved them dearly and I've always wanted to bring home the hope of my father and my mother. That's what kept me going. Not just for myself but mostly for all of us.
And G-d blessed that to happen. Yes, G-d blessed that to happen. This is a wonderful, wonderful day. I wish you could see it as I see it. Some of you see it but too many of you don't see it. Now we are out in the world now and we need to get the help that G-d offers us from his words and from the best of his human creation. And that is the Prophets, the Messengers of G-d and especially the last one, Muhammad of whom G-d says, "You'll find in him an excellent model or example for any who believe in G-d and the last day," Why are the two conditions mentioned? First believe in G-d and as you know I started out saying that more attention is given to us as believers than as Muslims. G-d says "Oh you who believe, oh you who believe" over and over again all throughout the Qur'an.
So now I said also that we need to be situated to get the benefit that G-d created us for. A great life, a complete life, a full life, a wholesome life. That's what He created us for. For every one of us are created for that. Though many of us miss getting there, we all are created for that. G-d wants that for every one He created, for every one He created. And what does He say of His creation? He says, "When I want a servant or someone to do My will or carry My work, I pick one from among those that I have already created."
What is that saying to us? G-d does not father and mother or father children with a wife or with a female like we have to reproduce ourselves. G-d has already created human beings and His work is not a failure. When He wants one, He picks one from among those He created. So that tells us we should not accept the idea that G-d gave birth to a son of a woman and that creation is the son of G-d and G-d. You should not have that in your heart and mind. Now I continue. When we look at this world that we are delivered into, this world of day and night, this world of sunlight and darkness. We see plenty room, look at all of that space. There was time when man, in fact for most of the time that man has been on this earth or mankind, male and female, have been on this earth. For most of that time we had no hope of rising up to the moon, not ourselves. With our imagination.
Yes, our eyes could see the moon, our imaginations could see the moon, our minds could find comfort in looking at the moon and maybe imagining ourselves there. But we had no real belief or faith that we actually could put ourselves or some force on earth could put a human being on the moon. But that has happened. That has actually happened. Science have gone out beyond the moon. But let's come back closer to the sun. It is not the stars that grow our garden but it's the sun. The sunlight grows our garden. It is not those stars way out there that serves the essential needs or important needs of life on earth. It's the closer light, the sun. And the sun grows the vegetation and from the vegetation we get thread and we get fabric, and from the vegetation or from the plant life that comes up, we get wood to build our houses, to build houses for ourselves and we get all the needs, all the things we need to make our community life flourish and accommodate our survival needs for survival and progress.
We get cement from the earth to build cement structures. After discovering what we could do with the wood, we discover what we could do with cement. The man discovered iron and he discovered how to make iron and everything. Then he built iron and steel beams and structures to make a steel edifice. Long before that he discovered glass, he makes glass, glasses. All these things. But all these are from the earth. And Allah says "Get you down from here into the earth." Now there was somebody with an ego problem and G-d said, "Get you down from here into the earth where you'll find your livelihood." And where you'll find the things that will satisfy or where you'll find what will satisfy all of your aspirations. All of your aspirations, you'll find them right down in the earth. Right down into earth, in this earth. Now when we look at the world now, the environment out there, look at all that space. Look at all that space.
So what is the most important space for human life? It's now way up there with the nice stars. It's down here with mother earth, getting helped from a little light that shows itself big. And it seems to behave pretty much like you. You have to get up and go to work. And you go take a rest. and he know the sun is not actually resting but the way we see it with our physical eye, it goes up like it's resting. It comes up in the morning and increases the light, gets up to the top, up to the zenith of the heavens at noontime and it starts to decline, and it decline and declines until it passes out of sight. Seem like it goes down into the earth. That's what people used to believe. Seems like it actually goes down into the earth, especially if you be on the lake or the waterfront and you see the sun set on the waterfront.
It seems like it goes down into the water and then rises up from the other side in the east from the water. You see it looks like it's dripping liquid fire back into the water it's coming out of. The great Creator who designed this nature, it's not just to be present, but designed it to speak to, to communicate by picture language, speak to our intelligence, speak to our heart, speak to our mind, speak both to our intelligence and our heart. G-d says in the Qur'an, He has formed everything to embody and spread out to other areas what? Ilman, knowledge, science. And Rahma, and mercy. As we get this science and utilize it, we build transportation on the water, we build transportation on the land we put down the donkey, we start riding him, start riding Mercedes Benz. And we stop looking at the birds in the air, their freedom of flight and we make a big old 747 and we fly way up over the birds and look down on the eagle, look down on the eagle.
That's human beings. That's the human being. Potential, potential and capacity in human life. Look down on the eagle. Comforts, used to take months to get to the destination in Europe or someplace else. Maybe in two years. The road of travel was hard. But now the creation has breathed into man its treasure, its sciences, and its great message in picture language, great messages for man's heart and mind. Breathed into man's mind, man's thinking and man as a result of following direction in the voice of creation itself, or the writing of creation itself. As a result of following directions, he now has all these comforts and can get to the long-distance place without losing so many lives. Don't you know they lost a lot of lives coming over the ocean to start a new life in this new world. They lost a lot of lives at sea, a lot of lives. And when they would travel from one area on this land to a far distant land, many times sickness occurred and lives were lost. All of those struggles are no more. G-d has removed most of the misery out of life by imparting from His creation messages for comforting the heart and for feeding and comforting the mind so that we can produce this beautiful world of abundance.
Yes, this is how you should understand this. And this kind of preaching I'm giving to you, ten minutes of it is worth a lifetime of the kind of preaching they give you in the church. I would say also in most of the Mosque. In fact, I don't know a Mosque on earth, I haven't been to one that will give you what I give here. "Well why is that, what make you so special that G-d would do that for you?" You. Yes, that's serious. Dead serious. You. Where'd you come from? The plantation. What was your situation? Slavery. Who owned you? The slave master. Who controlled your path? The slave master. Who controlled your movement? Slave master. Who limited your thinking? Slave master. Who gave you your mind? Slave master. Would a man rob G-d out of a whole people? That's scripture, the Bible. Will man rob G-d of a whole people? And yes, you have done this. You have stolen from G-d. That voiding of your original life, how do you get it back?
He's not going to put African life back into you. He's not going to put the life you had in Nigeria, a life you had in Niger or anywhere else. He's not going to limit your life like that. You come limited from across the water from Africa. You come here limited because the African people were limited in their mind and in their thinking. But now somebody has sucked out the life that you had in you. You don't have anything to push you forward anymore. You don't have anything to direct you anymore. You got no life. And somebody now has voided your whole internal life and trying to make you believe you are a sub-human. So, G-d had to take this issue up Himself. So, your life has been stripped and voided of it's human nature, and G-d had to pick up the issue Himself. And He took it up. and I'm telling as a Minister, young Minister in my early twenties preaching for my father the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and for the Nation of Islam. I said to them at that time with all the energy and the power that I feel right now, and I feel like I could blow the whole world up. And I said to you all back then, I said, we are not the same people anymore. We're not African. We're new people. You are not what your flesh is. You what your soul is. And G-d emptied out everything, even our souls. He permitted that to happen. For what reason? To make a new people on this earth.
As I understand it, the discovery of America, the most important thing that we can understand or draw from the discovery of America is the bringing of us to this continent. A new land where G-d is going produce a new people. And to take them from zero as far as community life, the plantation life reduced us to zero. He's going to bring us from zero to be a whole people. He's not going to take us by way of Africa because they were not whole people and they are not whole people today. But He's going to take us from zero plantation life and He's going to make circumstances work for us. Even bad circumstances. He's going to make ugly insults work for us, motivate us to say you lie.
No more conscious soul, no more active soul. But it had to be some soul because we still knew we were being mistreated. So, we have soul enough to tell him he's a threatening boss. We know he's vicious. We know he's cruel. He so cruel, he's soulless. We know he would kill our innocent child, not only us, but he'd kill our innocent baby too and our innocent boys and girls. We know that his thinking is insane. But we brave the insane. We brave the power of the insane, and he had great power to move now in his insanity. But we were brave enough to tell him that's not right. I'm a human being just like you. I don't believe that G-d approves what you're doing to us. Isn't that what we said to him? Now that we kind grew up a little bit and got a little something from them too. But the first ones that they reduced, they couldn't even ask questions like that. And many of them tolerated the bad treatment and never questioned anything. Went along with it passively.
My point is you are a new people. Don't look for your beginning in Africa. You can't go back there. That beginning was erased. You can't go back there. Look for your beginning in plantation slavery on this continent. That's where your life starts all over again. From zero, your life starts. And the most important thing that occurred in your life was the introduction of the Nation of Islam, the Lost-Found Nation Of Islam. That signals the beginning of a new birth or a new creation of human beings on this planet earth. And as I said, the whole time of gestation or whatever you want to call it technically, nine periods represent the right time of the teaching or witness teaching of Master Fard Muhammad and his A student, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. Yes. And my leadership as it came to life, represents the freedom that we were promised. We were promised freedom, justice and equality. My leadership bringing you into the light, the light represents the freedom you were promised. And you work with that light you'll get the blessings. And if you apply it in the real world, you'll eventually establish your equality. You'll be equal to any community on this planet earth. And who knows, I do believe that G-d's intention is to have this community even if it takes a thousand years. Now, I am going to come back to this how we are created in stages. In the moon first and then out into the universe.
What is the universe? Universe are stars. Above the stars. Above the sun, above the daylight is the light of stars. That's the canopy, the black board upon which is written the universal language, the universal language. And those lights up there that are so far away from us. So, what happens to us understand that this is a picture language. It is like a screen upon which a story is told. Animated objects, moving objects, animated things, on a screen. So, what is the message to our minds down here that those distant stars appear so much smaller than our sun, but when science reaches them with scientific information and telescope, powerful telescope, scientists discover by mathematics and other means, it discovered that there are suns out there bigger than our sun, bigger than our sun. But they're so far away they appear to be so small. Now let me tell you what I think the message is. Though they're much bigger than you, they're so distant, they're so far away from your important issues of life on earth that you can see them as being much smaller than your sun. Now mystics, a mystic, he's become one of those distant stars.
But what he got to tell us won't work for us in the neighborhood that's down, the neighborhood that's backwards, in the neighborhood that has no neighborhood leadership that's developed enough to where a neighborhood should be to compete with other neighborhoods, whites and Irish and Polish and whatever. And Chinese and Jews. So, his mysticism maybe a bigger light because he's all wrapped up in G-d, and G-d is a bigger light. So this mysticism a distance away must be a much bigger light than our social sciences, than our social intelligence that's represented in a symbol called the sun. But we can't use that stuff down here to change the material circumstances. And whatever mystical exercises they are doing might float up there. We down here chanting "Ommmm, Ommmm, Ommmm." Nobody can hear us or see us now. Way out there and nothing is happening down here where we live. The home front totally abandoned.
Okay, so what did G-d also say to us with all of this space. You got all of this space; your mind can run the skies. You can go out with your imagination. You can go out there with your mind and your heart out there, traverse the universe with your spirit. But what do you use out there for down here? Not only that, look at all this room I gave you to take your interest, your appetite for a good life, your appetite for creation, for production, et cetera. All this room you got. When you go out there, you so far away from home, what you gonna do with it out there?
So really you should restrict your mobility, you should limit your travel is what I'm saying. You should limit your travel. G-d though you gave me all of the power, imagination, and all the freedom and spirit to escape and go far away from home, it doesn't help me that much to go out there. It doesn't help me to use the full measure of freedom you gave me. So I'm going to impose upon myself a limited freedom. I'm going to limit my freedom to the circumstances and to the environment that I must interact, that I must engage in order to have a good life here where you put me Lord. We should limit our freedom. You want to wear the sun, moon and stars in your head, on your head. No mama wear, daddy wear, children wear, the neighborhood wear, the crown of responsible man at home. And tell G-d I thank you for giving me this big spirit, this great spirit to travel the universe, but I understand what you're saying Lord.
If I go out there, no matter how big I am, I'll become very small in the eyes of reality. Yes, let's work, let's work here where we are. As Booker T Washington said, I believe it was, "Pick up your pail where you are, pick up your bucket where you are." He was saying start with your life where it is now and attend to the concerns of life where it is now. And he knew that if you do that eventually you are going to solve the most serious problems for your life now. And it's going situate you to have great life hereafter great life hereafter. Situating life. That's the big problem. Most people are not succeeding. Not succeeding with their life because they haven't found a way to situate their life for growth, development and excellence. They haven't found a way to situate their life. Now I'm going to bring this to a conclusion very soon, but let me give you some more messages from the heavens and the earth.
Yes, Allah says the throne used to be upon the water, but who changed all that? G-d. But when He revealed the last revelation, He changed all that and He said that His throne now extends over the heavens and the earth. Extends over the heavens and earth. His throne. That means the rule. Throne means the rule extends over the heavens and the earth. When we are awake, mind awake, eyes open, mind awake. We see things rolled up to actually see colors on the earth. You see the earth looking like a green carpet, like a beautiful green carpet. With designs in it and everything. Beautiful green carpet. Beautiful green carpet down here, beautiful blue up there. It's beautiful, beautiful. It's feeding your spirit, isn't it? A clear day, a beautiful blue sky and a clear day. It feeds your spirit. So, here's something feeding my spirit and the earth with its greenery is giving me what I need to feed hunger in my stomach, in my flesh. And Allah says, See how G-d gives you your sustenance, your food or your supplies from both the sky and the earth.
But don't think that it is only spiritual influences or spiritual food that's fed into my soul for my spiritual happiness coming from up there. Science have learned that when it rains the rain drops brings down nitrates, not just water. In the raindrops are also nitrates. And these nitrates feed growth in the food that you're growing, for the farmer, for his crops. Nitrates. He has to supply the grounds. The nitrates are eaten up, He has to supply the ground, the foliage with nitrates. But G-d gives nitrates too in certain measures from the rain. He's giving it nitrates.
But more than that we find meteors falling to the earth sometimes from the heavens. They fall to the earth and man, sometimes he discovers new elements or he discovers the ratio of elements that he already had on earth. But because they went through extreme fire, extreme heat there manifest something that tells him more about the nature of that lava, how he could use it. And Allah said that it is G-d who revealed the iron. Now understand the word for reveal means literally sent down. So, when Allah says He revealed the Qur'an, He says sent down in measure, He sent down. And when He says that He sent down the iron, the word used is Mezala. This is the reality. Don't think that this is just language for spiritual understanding or for spiritual food. No, this is also reality. Iron comes down in meteorites, but iron has also come down because of lightning. Lightning struck a forest and set the forest on fire. And when he came back after the fire had cooled and the ground was cool enough for him to come by there, he came back and found iron. The iron ore had been formed from the iron that he could take and heat up. He knew the hot lightning is what made it form like it did. Melted it and formed it like it did and produced it. So, then he take that metal he found it the earth and then he heats it up again, the blacksmiths, and he can shape it into a sword. He can shape it into a hammer. He can shape it into different tools, right? Isn't that G-d educating you from the heaven? Say we give you your full life from the heaven and the earth. This is a reality. But the important thing to know is that what He said when the religious leadership had gone and detached itself from matters of community life and justice down here for society. They had placed themselves right there in a holy environment and said we are the special creation of G-d.
We have the divine light in us, and all those creatures we rose up from down there, they are sub strata creation. They are sublevel creation. They are not full and true humans like we are. That period lasted for a long time. When they dominated the world and treated the world like human beings were a world of animals, and restricted servants from rising above the servant level, servant level and restricted females from having progress in the world or having a role in the real world. Restricted them, refused to educate them but kept them privately at home. These persons, though their bodies were down here, their minds were way up there in the sky. So Allah is not looking to where your physical body is, Allah sees us where our mind, our mental interest is, etc. He sees us where that is. And if that's way up there, Allah says you were in the skies and He said to you, get you down from here, all of you together. There you'll find your place where you'll work and die, and you'll find the place where you'll be resurrected.
You'll be resurrected from there. And He also says there you'll find the fulfillment for all of your aspirations. There. So He said go back home. That's what he told the mystics that went up in the sky. And that order of the devoted people to spiritual science and to obedience to G-d who thought themselves a higher creation than the masses of people, "Get you back down to that you and your creation is no higher than those down there that you left." Go back down there with your brothers and sisters. And do the work at home that I created you for. That's what G-d said.
Praise be to Allah. Now let me continue. When you look at the levels also of that that feeds life. The first is death. When the baby comes from the mother, if the baby has no environment that will give it air, it's dead, it will die, it'll never live. But if the air on the outside can come into that life that was formed inside the mother, in a strict environment that contained it, if it can come out and breathe the free air, it's the same air that all life breathes. It's the air, same air, the very nation breathes. It's the air that feeds all life. It's called sometimes the mother of all creation, the air itself. So, if you can breathe that air, it comes to conscience, huh? It comes into consciousness. Breath the air. consciousness comes. Sometimes the delivery needs a little help, but many times it needs no help besides something to stimulate the life. Dr. may hit it or wet nurse may hit it so that it starts breathing, comes to conscious, come to conscience, consciousness. So, this air that we breathe, mother earths air, understand this is mother earths air, this is her breath. It doesn't come from outer space; it comes from here down here. It's produced by the plants and animals. It comes from down here, all the air you breathe. So, this is mother earths air, the free environment. And we breathe it to become conscious. It's the first level of life then, huh? The first level of real life for a human being is not the flesh, it's the consciousness. And we can't have that without breathing the air. But now when we look at the level, we start off, I said the ground. That's level one, right? That's the material body. And then the air level two, the air level two. How high does the air go? Not much higher than the clouds.
In fact, some clouds go above air. They are way up there, and they're nothing but ice crystals. They go up so high, it's so cold out there, the little small particles of water like mist up there. So high up in the cold region. And they'd be floating as dust, floating as frozen ice that's just like dust, floating up there in the far high region. You go up the mountain so high, you get faint, you start to feel faint, if it's a high mountain, especially like Everest, Mount Everest over there. You feel faint, not getting enough air, lack of oxygen to your brain. So, air has a level, and beyond that level no more air, right? Okay, so when we look at the levels of graduation for the life that's important for this life here in my body, my life, my life inside my body you see land, you see air and then it goes up so high and air runs out. And above air is what? Light.
And G-d said that He made man, He created man from earth, first level, right? Formed him of the earth. And then He breathes into him next level, next level. And He formed them of land and water as Mr. Fard said, Muck Mud. Yes. So, He formed them of land and water. A mixture. A mixture. And some places it says He formed them of water to put the attention on your human sensitivity water, your human sensitivity, your feelings, your human sensitivity. And then sometimes He says just formed them of clay. No, He said He began the creation of man from clay. This is manageable, pliable, manageable, substance. You could shape it like you want. And every human being has this nature to be impressed and to sustain an impression. And that impression will live with that particular boy or girl for the rest of their life.
It'll imprint on their form that will last for a whole lifetime. That's like clay. And He formed, began the creation from clay. But He also said He made him from the dust of the earth, the dust of the earth. The dust now is from a life that has died, meaning they once had a great life but that life has passed away and they're nothing but the dust of the once great civilization. And then G-d can come back to that small, insignificant, remaining signs of that once great existence and He can bring life from the once living dust of man again. A living entity. Now I'm telling you at this time here in Newark that you have been formed a new people from water, a new people from clay. Clay first because your creation began with clay. You were impressionable and Mr. Fard knew how to work the clay. And shape it like he wanted it to be shaped. So, he shaped us in the shape of a form of a man. A man, a real man, stood us up straight. Attention!
He animated dust. Formed clay and animated dust because he wanted to form a great people who came from a great past when there was a great nation called Kush. And they named everything. Cushion came from Kush. Why they named cushion cushion? Because Kush had a great society and a nation that provided great comforts to it's people, Kush. With Ethiopia, Sudan and all that area there near the great bodies of water. See, when you have great bodies of water, you have outlets, you have outlets, and you connect with other people and connect with other resources and that makes a powerful nation, powerful nation. Look at little Japan surrounded by water. Look how powerful that small people became. Look how Rome in the Mediterranean and the great water outlets available to it. Look how powerful Rome became, ruled the whole world. And Kush once ruled the whole world. Whole world. The people called Kush. J.A Rogers tells us something about this people and if you do some research, you will learn more. But that's not important. The importance is the road I'm on right now. That's what's important. The road I'm on right now. With you.
Yes. So as G-d says, He makes the man, form the man of the earth. Then He breathed into the man of His own inspiration and he became a living creature or a living soul. This what G-d says. But there is, if you understand the Bible and the Qur'an, there's two lives, two creations. And even two gardens, not one. We know of Eden, one garden. The Qur'an says "And We created for the human being two gardens. Jennatain. Not one, Jennatain. Okay. So now Allah says of man that He creates, that He created from the earth, to breath in him, inside him. This is the first level, this is the first level. And I think that level, what represents every inspiration and every guidance or revelation that went into the soul and mind of man up until the time of the revealing of the Quran. When it comes to the plan of the Qur'an, understand I'm talking about religious communities, I'm talking about science, I'm talking about all that.
But when it comes to the Qur'an and Allah says, in Suratul Rahman. He says, "Ar Rahmanu, The Most Generous G-d, that's what Rahman means. Mercy and Generosity, giving you a lot. Ar Rahmanu, the Merciful Generous G-d. "Alamul Qur'an." He taught the Qur'an. G-d taught the Qur'an. Do you believe that? The revelation of the Qur'an came from G-d to Muhammad. And G-d was not only revealing to him, but G-d was teaching him. And that obligated him to also teach, not just to preach. To teach the book and the wisdom. Do you recall those words, to teach the book and the wisdom? So He says of Muhammad the Prophet, The Merciful G-d, the Merciful and Generous G-d, He taught the Qur'an and created the human person is the second creation. And created the human person and then educated him in the understanding or the clarity of the book, made it clear to him, taught him how to come to the clear understanding of it.
Bayan, clarity. Now you say, well didn't G-d teach people before that. No, that's what the people of the book wanted. When you read the Bible, the Bible starts with Genesis. And where does it start? In the water, right? Not in clay, in the water. So, what does that tell us? That it's not talking about the beginning of life, it's talking about the spiritual beginning of life. Not the actual beginning of all life, but the spiritual beginning of life. Now we know that nothing can have life that don't exists. A seed is from life, a life form, whether it's a peach seed or whatever it is, it's from a life form. But now it has died. It's never talking about the first beginning. Some wise person recently wrote in a publication and they said that they have matured, they have grown up and matured enough to know that they can never clearly behold or clearly comprehend the eternal, the presence of the divine and the eternal light of an eternal G-d, this person says. So, I have made myself comfortable just to deal with these things that I can manage to my satisfaction.
That writer was saying it makes no sense; it's nonsense. It's futile for us to try to put G-d on a microscope, under a microscope, on a lab and examine Him with the hope of analyzing Him and defining Him to the satisfaction of our mind. It's something that we should rise up above. It's something that says to the life that's mature enough to walk away from that, and as those who were up in the sky were told, get back down there where you belong. We ought to come back to the issues that we can really handle to do something about, to make life better. That's what that person is saying. That's what a writer was saying. Now, so this is a second creation we're talking about, a second creation. Well, didn't it exist before? No, it's only pointed to in Jesus Christ, Peace be upon him. In Jesus Christ, it is pointed to, he's pointing to a time when the whole world will be filled with light.
And it's John the Revelator who came to that understanding of what Jesus Christ came into the world to deliver. And he says he saw a throne; it's almost like a vision. He's giving it as a vision. He said he saw a throne and, on the throne, he saw one looking as though he had come from the foundation of the earth. But he had become a bright illuminated creature, bright illuminated creature. Allah had imparted him into him the light that would be the final light. And he once was dead. He once was dead, but now he's alive forever more. This is a new birth, a new creation for him. Jesus is a sign of whats coming. And he said in the light, I hope Rafa is in here because I shared this with him many years ago. And I know if you are in my hearing, I know you feel good. You know what's coming.
Oh yes, I'm telling you, you can be a dried-up roach with no life in it. Got a little weight. But if you take what G-d has blessed me with or come near it, boom!! I know the power of this. So anyway, as the Revelator goes, it's last book in the Bible called Revelations, and in Revelations he said, and then the light, it flows from the Throne, and filled up the whole structure and then flowed out. It didn't stop. It flowed out from the structure. And just everywhere it went, it made everything light. And that continued until it filled the whole earth up. And the whole earth became light. That that second creation. Yes, that's the creation of universal science, of the universal sciences. And was not the world waiting, groping in the dark as intellectuals and as people created for scientific advancements. They were actually at a standstill when the Prophet came with the Qur'an, and he imparted the Qur'an to thirsting minds, to bright minds with a great future.
He fed those minds and they were turned on to the creation, the marvelous creation. And they started studying the heavens, and they became a new breed of astronomists. And they studied the land, the vegetation and they became a new breed of doctors. They studied chemicals and they became a new breed of scientist, of chemistry and everything. There was a rebirth of the sciences because of the Qur'an being revealed by the teacher, the new created man Muhammad. And they became a new people, a new leadership for a new and a more advanced and better world. And that life continued until it reached the new world. It was the light of Muhammad, his signals, his hints, directing them with the Qur'an, that brought even the new world into the great progress that we have now for sciences and et cetera. Yes, Muhammad was the beginning of a new generation at a higher breed of minds and intellect. That's what he was, the beginning of that. G-d first created him and then from him like Adam a New Adam, the father, but here, up here, and in his heart. He fed that life to others. And we have a new breed, a new creation. But this new creation now, I got to come back home. This new creation now that Allah has started with the creation of Muhammad as a thinker who has the community interest at heart.
G-d is not trying to make a race of China. No, G-d is not interested in that. G-d is interested in no great race, no great color, no great nation, no. Allah, G-d is interested in great souls, great hearts, great intellects, great minds that will feed all people. When you come into a big mind that G-d wants for you and the big heart that G-d wants for you, you cannot work just for your own family. You got to work for humanity wherever it is, wherever it is. Charity should start at home and then go abroad. Take care of family first. Your obligation is to search to those that are in your reach and those that are depending on you, first. Yes, yes. Okay. So Jesus Christ, he pointed to one to come. This is Bible also. And they say, but he said the Holy Spirit shall come to you. I have to go away so that the Holy Spirit will come to you. The authorities in the church say that that means the Holy Ghost.
The Holy Ghost. That's the coming of Jesus after he physically go away. It's the Holy Ghost. I don't see the Holy Ghost doing that much for the black community. So I think they made a big mistake. It ain't the Holy Ghost, it's Muhammad. And Muhammad in this man standing here that you looking at is doing a great thing for this community. And we're going to do bigger and bigger things. Now, don't go out and say, I said I was Muhammad. I didn't. I said, Muhammad in this person you are looking at. Cause I have Muhammad in my heart and in my mind I have his direction for us is within me. And that's how Allah keeps the office of the Prophet. He puts the love in the heart for the Prophet. And He puts the hunger in the mind for understanding of how we should carry out that office or serve that office of the Prophet.
He puts it in so the Prophet lives, he lives, he never dies. And Allah says, "Speak not of my servants as being dead. Say they are alive, but you' perceive it not." So, don't forget, land is the beginning, is the first foundation, and then above land and water, because land and water, actually water is below land, isn't it? Sometimes it's above land, but water is usually below land. So water and land is the first beginning, and then we go up to the air level, and that's the second level after life, or for a higher elevation of life. And let me tell you, this air is very, very, very important, for air is what it brings about the conscience isn't it? Now, this air is symbolic, but of consciousness that feeds consciousness. And what feeds consciousness?
If you don't have any appetite at all for spirit, you might as well be dead. You have to want to have spirit. Don't just want to be a Muslim, want to be a Muslim with spirit. And a Muslim with spirit doesn't come to hear me speak like this. A Muslim with spirit after you coming, you coming like something that has almost died, something that once had life, but now it's almost dead. Can't hardly breathe. No, you come like this. Then you are alive on this second level. And don't sit and listen to somebody that can't touch your spirit and you sit there for hours and you came in walking like this. And you go out like this.
They couldn't arouse your spirit; they couldn't get your spirit up. That's no good. And you don't have to make a great noise as the Bible says, to get somebody's spirit up. You can whisper and get your spirit up. if you whisper the right thing. Yes, if you whisper the right thing, brother. It's not the knowledge of it. It's the content of it. If it have substance for life, if it has substance to feed my soul, in my spirit. You can whisper it in here. Whoa buddy. But understand that the air is on a lower level than the light.
