What Challenges us most is Corruption

By Imam W. Deen Mohammed
Allahu Akbar that is G-d is greater than everything we have known and everything we will know and everything we can imagine G-d is greater. We witness that He's one and the Cherisher and Sustainer of all the Worlds, the Keeper of humanity, the Keeper of His creation. And we witness that Muhammad is the last Prophet, the seal of the Prophets upon him be the Prayers and the Peace and what follows of that traditional salutation. We are always thankful for our presence. We are happy that we are seeing you here too from distant places. Appreciate your support very much and we appreciate our radio listening audience very much. And I understand that we have increased the number of cities. There is one or two new cities that have been added since I spoke or addressed the live radio audience.
We are addressing a topic or the subject of knowledge and education. We know that in the Bible as and in the Qur'an, the Qur'an also addresses this issue. In fact, it addresses, Qur'an, our holy book or our holy Bible addresses all the important issues that are in the great religions, especially those important issues for mankind and for community life that we find in the Bible, in the Holy Bible of the Christians and Jews or the People of the Book. We have the problem in Genesis addressed as a tree, a tree of the knowledge of good and evil, tree of the knowledge of good and evil. In Genesis, we are told that our first father, Adam and his wife was seduced by Satan, deceived by Satan to disobey G-d according to Genesis in the Bible. They were told not to eat of that tree, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. But the Satan gave them his way of thinking and reasoning and he was so clever he made Adam think that there was no sin in following his suggestion. So Adam followed his suggestion not knowing he was committing sin and caused his fall from heaven or his expulsion from the garden. He was cast out of the garden.
The Qur'an addresses the same problem. But before going through the Qur'an words regarding this situation, I want to go to the Qur'anic words that say, that says G-d does not want to burden us, but He want that we be purified. He does not want us burdened, but He want that we be purified. And that brings me now to the Qur'an, our holy book, our Bible on the same issue. We have the same punishment for the sin and that was to be cast out of the garden of paradise, rejected. But we also have these words in our holy book that says that Satan caused our first parents to come out of the clothing that G-d had given to them. And it identifies the clothing. It says the clothing of righteousness, the clothing of righteousness. And I have recalled that beginning to say this, that the challenge to human life is corruption. Corruption. And that was the problem from the beginning. The Satan was able to corrupt the reasoning of our first parents and to deceive them into thinking that that kind of reasoning was acceptable. They couldn't see the corruption, but Satan was opening the way for the corruption of mankind.
By teaching man that G-d wants him to use his own mind and he shouldn't believe that G-d wanted him not to use his own mind. So Satan explains to our first parents how G-d did not reject man using his own mind and that G-d wanted man to use his own mind so that he could come into the knowledge, the higher knowledge, so that he would become a ruler ruling the world, a ruler like G-d, with power like G-d and the angels. This was the way that he seduced or deceived our first parents. The challenge is corruption. And the most dangerous corruption is what I just mentioned, and that is the corruption of your thinking, the corruption of our thinking, the corruption of our reasoning.
If we remain in the true to reality mind and nature that G-d put us in, we will not have our minds corrupt. But it was in G-d's plan to subject us to the subtle ways of the great deceiver, the father of deception, Satan himself called Shaitan in our Holy Bible, or Holy book. Al Hibler was a singer when I was a young man in my early twenties and perhaps even earlier. He was called Al Hibler. And one of the songs that he was known for on radio and live shows I guess, I never saw him in a live show although I saw entertainers in live shows when I was young. One of the songs about a tree said he'd never seen a picture as beautiful as a tree. I really liked that song by Al Hibler. I liked the way he sang it and I like the lyrics, the words. In the Qur'an, the book of the Muslims, and all of us are Muslim by nature according to our holy book. And I can really defend it with the Bible if challenged and I'd be happy to do it. Every human being is born Muslim and in the Christian language that is to say born with Christ's nature. Every human being is born Muslim. According to our Prophet, he said, "Every human person is born Muslim and it is their environment that they are put in that makes them otherwise." And we know that Christ's nature means the sinless nature, sinless nature, clean, pure. Yes. So in our Holy book, a tree is mentioned and the tree is described as a tree firmly placed or rooted in the earth with its branches reaching up to heavens, reaching up to the heavens. And it is called a good tree. A good tree, a tree of human purity, a tree of human purity that fastens itself or fixes itself firmly in the earth, but it rises up to heaven, it's branches reach up to heaven, up to the heavens. And that's most trees. Even the weeping willow, it reaches up and falls down, right? It reaches up a little bit and falls down a lot. I guess that's why it's weeping.
But most of the trees, the branches reach up toward the heavens. What is this picture telling us if G-d says this is a good tree? This picture is telling us...You know we speak of ourselves as a grassroots. So we have already described ourselves as a plant. Humans, grassroots. I don't know who gave us that name, but it means that weak people materially, they don't have much material establishment. The grass compared to a bush is small and weak compared to a tree, almost nothing. But look how the Bible sees the grass, just little grass, little simple grass. It says "What is the son of man but grass?" This is the Bible. "What is the son of man but grass?" Grass is a very small life among the plant life, very small, but it's charity is great for its little size. If it's sweet grass, it gives the wheat seed, grass gives it's body to the cows and whoever wants to eat it. And grass cushions the hard ground so that when the animals walk over it, the little insects crawling under the grass on the top of the surface of the ground between the grass will not be crushed by them. So the grass gives protection for the weak, little weak life crawling around on the ground amongst the grass, and the grass gives a blanket of beauty, huh?
Gives a blanket of beauty. And if it is edible, it gives it food lastly. Lastly, it gives it's food as though it's purpose was to give it's food. To give the seed, it's life seed as food to those who would eat it and want it and eat it. So you should be able to understand, especially you frequent church goers and frequent Mosque goers, any Jews out there. You too, my brother. You should understand now what I'm talking about. When I say that the Bible says "What is the Son of man but grass?" We know also that trees give their bodies to mankind, to human community. We make houses of trees, we make 'em of brick now mostly and steel. But the inner structure still requires a lot of wood, a lot of wood. So the tree is still is yet giving its body to the human community so that the human community will have houses and furniture and whatever. So it gives its body, but it also gives its leaves, trees. When trees, when the fall come, the trees drop their leaves. Most of the trees drop their leaves and they give a blanket of warmth to the ground and that protect the roots of not only the tree, but the roots of more delicate things as well. And then they recycle the leaves. And the leaves enrich the soil. Fertilizes the soil.
Yes. So the tree does not only give us flowers, beauty for our eyes and for our spirit. And sometimes fruits like apples and peaches and pears and whatever, and cherries and all these things, and figs. Give us all of these nice fruits. But it also gives us shade in the hot weather. And when the sun is burning and too unbearable, we rush sometimes to a big tree, to be cooled or relieved in it's shade. See how wonderful the things made by G-d are and see how they communicate or talk to us. They speak to us of our own life and what G-d has done for our own life. Still on a tree. Some trees, matter fact, most of them, they die when the cold, unbearable weather comes, they look like skeleton. All their leaves are gone. Not beautiful, not attractive anymore. That is when we remember or consider how beautiful they were in spring time when they took on their new dress or their new outfit. However, they're not dead. They look dead. But they're not dead. And I remember reading in the Bible it says that the Son of man was seen poorly dressed in rags. Said, and the moon was the only sun or the morning was the only sun. And that brings to my mind the tree that when fall comes, it gives it's all. Look how beautiful the leaves of many, most of the trees look. Look how beautiful they look in fall time. Look like they're saying, well, I'm coming to the end of my journey. And I want to give my best. Isn't that like some of us? Yeah. Males and females. We sense that we are coming to the end of our journey and we want to hurry up to produce more in life.
And leave our best to those who will be around after we are gone. Yes. See how G-d made His world, His world before man tampered with it to speak to us. And G-d says in the scripture, He says, there is coming a time when the earth, whole earth is going to behave as though it's Lord were revealing, was revealing to it, was revealing to it. If that's not this time we are living in, tell me when it's coming. When is it coming? This is the day of religion. Yes. The day of religion. When did we ever, in the history of mankind, when did we ever see these great religions all on the same stage? Judaism, Christianity and Islam all on the same stage, all interacting with one another now. All engaging each other now. Participating in discussions called religious dialogue or interfaith dialogue, where the great religions sit down together and discuss the problems that challenge human life yesterday and today.
So this is a day of religion. Literally, if we translate the words of our Holy book that says the day of religion, literally we'll be saying the day of judgment. What is that to say to you? That G-d who made His world knows His world. And He knows His world from beginning to end. So the G-d that made His world, He revealed to righteous servants, male and female some. He revealed to them the conclusion for His world, how His world would be concluded under the influence of Satan and under the works of mankind. How it would come to a conclusion. And people of religion using G-d's name and letting the world go to hell are going to be questioned one day and they're going to be questioned in a time when mankind all around the globe will be able to listen to their questions and their answers. And that time is called the great standing. And that time is called the great standing. Yaumal Qiyama. It'll be the great standing, meaning that mankind would have by that time connected around the world, he would've found transportation to connect to himself with all other people around the globe. He would've found the knowledge and science to connect economies, et cetera, so that the world becomes one living room of many continents and many nations and many religions. Yes. That time has come and we are witnessing the day of religion, literally the day of judgment. And we are witnessing the day of the resurrection, the great standing of people all around the globe. Are you changing the way we see these things? No. Not if you don't want 'em changed. Believe me. I want you to be at peace. And I love you just like you are if that's where you want to be. Okay. This man, Wallace D Mohammed has no desire to force anybody to do anything. G-d knows my heart and my nature. Yes. But I'm inviting you to see the light.
For many things that are true in the dark are false when light comes on, I just want you to see in the light. I want you to see the major importance, not the small importance, the major importance, the big importance. And believe me, the big importance for the world of mankind, for the world of science and industry. Material growth, civilization, moral life and ethical rule. Ethical rule. These are the major issues. And just as the life of the tree comes and goes, it only awaits for another suitable environment, a suitable climate or weather condition, and it will have its life again, so is the life for people not established in G-d's word. When this climate gets bad or times get hot, they're challenged morally. And most of them fall. They fall down, their beautiful life is gone. They get nasty and bold with their filth, most of them. And they go the way of corruption. Yes. But when the climate comes again and it's nice and favors the human life coming up again, it seems as though something come up from the feet and rises up through the body from the feet to the knees and on up until it reaches the heart and finally the mouth. And you can taste again. Say this life that I've been living this nasty, I can taste it in my mouth. So you want to get the life right again. Huh? The life source reaches the brain and causes you to think different. Say what's been wrong with my mind that I've been allowing myself to go to hell like this.
Yes. And you start to clean up your thoughts. Yes, to save your mind. Challenged by corruption. When Satan seduced our parents in the garden to disobey or to give off, to throw away the reasoning that G-d created man for Satan's reasoning or rationalism, he wanted man to rationalize. To rationalize good right out of sight so he can do evil and think he's right. Yes. The life of the human rising up seemingly from the feet. And what are the feet symbolic of or representing? Innocent new life like the baby just from his mother. It's innocent. And what is it's first challenge? To stand upon his feet. The baby seem as though he was born in the world just to stop crawling one day and stand upon his feet. Yes. And by the way, if you haven't seen Happy Feet, take your children If you got little children. You are in for a treat. Yes. So the feet symbolic of the baby, but not just the new baby that comes from mama. Today I'm expecting my daughter, my sweet daughter, Kadija. I'm expecting her to deliver tomorrow and I'll be grandfather again. They keep making me granddad and great granddad and I love it. But it sure reminds me of the time, past, present, and how much I got left. Yes. We thank G-d for life. Yes. We thank G-d that gave us this human life. The world make us think it's bad and hard and ugly. Don't ever believe that. What G-d made is always beautiful. Always great.
Yeah. Oh yes. So never give up on believing what G-d made. When the world makes things bad, know that it's the world's fault, not G-d. G-d is still making things beautiful, still making human life beautiful. He never stops. He's still making human life beautiful. He's making human life great. Great. Yes He is. And when everything appears to be gone, just hang around. Just keep hanging around. And soon you'll see the sign of what G-d still is doing, what He's still doing. Praise be to Allah. And our Holy book says, at every measurement of time, no matter how small, if you could break a second up into billions of parts, no matter how small the time is in every measure of time, He is busy in a wonderful work of creation. And science has agreed, science has witnessed that. The telescopes, the long distant, far reaching telescopes, they say there's at all times new galaxies coming into existence. They call 'em Nebula. Nebula. New galaxies coming into existence. Galaxies, not just a planet or a star. New galaxies. We belong to the galaxy called the Milky Way.
And I guess man named it that because they milk everybody. That's the only reason I can see for them naming it the Milky Way. Give me your titty, your mama's titty, and the little girls titty. Give me all of it. Well, thank G-d. He prepared us to overcome all challenges and opposition, even that of the major deceiver, Satan himself. Oh yes. In my lifetime, Satan has been reduced to a little small thing. He used to be a big roaring thing, just roaring and shaking the earth in my eyes. Now I can hardly hear. I can talk and not be bothered by him. Every now and then I hear a little noise like a little wicked snake or reptile going through dry ground and causing the leaves and the dead grass to make noise you know? Yes. The word of G-d makes him small. The Bible says rebuke Satan. That mean chastise him with the truth and he will flee from you. The Bible says he will flee from you. He'll run from you, Satan. And how is this? Same false notion of ours that makes Satan so big is addressed in our Holy Book Qur'an, later revelation after the Bible. G-d says He has no power over you but to invite you to do wrong. And it is your fault that you accept His invitation. Has no power over you, but to invite you to sin, and it is our fault when we consciously accept his invitation. Yes. Yes. And again, G-d says and fight the schemes of Satan for his schemes are weak. How are we to understand his schemes being weak? He has no way to come into our life except through the doorways and passageways of our weaknesses. Of our weaknesses. And G-d says of Satan, He says, Surely such things as liquor to make you drug you and make you drunk and gambling to make you get the habit and lose your life, lose your establishment. And superstitions, games of chance, are the works of Satan are the works of his factory, the works of his factory. He's manufacturing these things. G-d pictures him as though he's running a factory, putting out all these evil things that destroying the peace and happiness of our families and our lives. G-d says "Therefore, stay away from him." Now that's the way to stay away from Satan. Stay away from drugs in both liquid form and solid form.
And stay away from games of chance and superstition. G-d calls us to faith, not superstition. I hope you are receiving this in the spirit that I'm giving it because I love G-d's guidance and I love to give it to people and I love to see their life relieved of their miseries. Yes. And if you receive it in the spirit that I'm giving it, you'll be blessed and I'll love you whether you receive it or not. I'll still love you. Yes, I will. And I love things worse than you. I ain't going to tell you about those things right now. I ain't in the mood for it, but sometime I might be. So let's go back to the tree. The tree as a parable of human establishment, an established tree firmly placed or fixed in the earth with its roots holding to the ground, holding inside the earth. And it's life supported by the strong base that it has in the ground and it grows up perpendicular. It grows up not leaning to the right, not leaning to the left, not leaning back, not leaning forward. It grows straight up. Even the little blade of wheat grass, huh? Growing straight up. What does that straight up growth do or what it does for the human spirit and the human life, the soul and everything? It takes the burden off of the life by balancing the burden it's taken off of life. You walk about and you're not conscious of your weight. 290 pounds. Well language used to be 180 pounds. Now it's 290 pounds. Weighing 290 pounds, some 380 or 90 pounds and moving about, I mean like a globe trotter. Some of the basketball players so swift on their feet, big old, huge Kodiak bear looking person. And they so swift on their feet and move so quick with such ease. That's that balance G-d created to have you stand up right and the weight is equally distributed like the tree. You don't see a tree growing and sticking big heavy branches out to the left and ain't nothing on the right side. The tree put the branches out all around equally. So that the burden or weight of the branches is not a strain on the perpendicular of the tree.
Oh yes. Forgive me if I lose you. It's not intentional. And I don't think I can lose you unless you are half with me. If you are halfway with me, I'll lose you. But if you are all the way with me, I ain't going to lose you. No, but if you're halfway with me, you got your mind on what I'm saying, and the mind on what's coming into your head from everywhere. From the toilet you left when you got out of the bedroom. Some of you got out of the bedroom and left your toilet. That's where your toilet was, your bedroom. That's a shame. But that shows you what happened when purity becomes distasteful and corruption becomes delicious. Yes. People allow themselves to be put in hell with their own hands, with their own minds, with their own sensitivities and spirit. They put themselves in a hell. A baby would scream and cry until change is made before it lives like some of these adults. Yes. When you were a baby, you didn't like filth. You cried to have mommy or somebody come and change your wet diaper, come and take the booboo off you. And wash you up. You just can't change it. A lot of babies say, Uhuh, you ain't through. You ain't going to leave my skin burning. Just wipe me up with some tissue paper and put a new diaper on me. I need to go to the water and wash my fanny. And they'll keep hollering and screaming until you do it. Yes. Because G-d didn't create human life to love filth and to love misery.
But when corruption takes over and suggestions are made from high up for you to do just as you please, that nobody should be telling you what to do, that you should do whatever you pleased to do. If you want to walk around in the nude and show yourself off to the public, that's your business. If you want to become homosexual, that's your business. No, I don't have any movement against the homosexuals. Don't think that. Don't suspect that. I love you just the way you are. If that's where you are happy. But please don't invade my house. Please leave my normal child alone.
Oh, now you're saying the homosexuals are abnormal. No, they're normal where they are and out of place with us that are not homosexual. Okay. Don't try to get the homosexual at me. If they get to know me, they'll like me. They'd be my friend. Really, I'm serious. In fact, I've had a few homosexual friends and one or two lesbian friends in my lifetime. And if they would see me, I'd meet 'em today when I leave here, they'd be happy to see me. They'd be smiling. I'd be smiling to see them too. Why not? There are worse things. Boy we running, the time is going. We got about 10 or 11 more minutes here for this live hour broadcast. I don't know how you all enjoy me in the radio audience, but I'm telling you I'm sure enjoying you. I can feel you all feeling what I'm saying. I can even almost see your responses. Oh, I'm having a good time here. Oh yes. Yes. So I saw, I believe, yeah, the Times Magazine. Times magazine cover had our President George Bush all by himself on the cover and he was walking, taking his regular stride. Oh, he can make some nice steps, but it made him look so lonesome. And the caption said "The Lone Ranger." Well, I don't know about you all, but I have great respect for the Presidency of this United States and therefore I have to have great respect for our President George Bush. But I wish he stopped being so lonely and come on back home from Iraq before things get much worse. Ain't going to get better. They're getting worse and worse. Yeah. And I don't think the American people are going to tolerate it too long.
They're going to demand the change. I don't think we are going to look at what's going on and not protest it in big fashion if it continues through the year that's coming, 2007. They are proposing that we give the President and the army at least to 2008. And I'm sure they're talking about until election time again. That's not right. And we got protests coming from some of the news analysts that's analyzing the situation. They're protesting that. So I don't think it's going to remain for that long. Getting back to our life. As a sap rises when the condition comes again for that life to live and blossom and bloom, grow and bloom and blossom. The sap start rising, huh? And the sap is the life force, isn't it? The sap is the life force. It's the life force. It's the life energy. It starts to rise. Where was it? It left the body and went down in the ground. You see how beautifully the tree or plant life resembles in its nature the life of a human family in community? Oh yes. So we look dead. The life is not gone. "Oh, I can't reach my child anymore. They don't hear me, they don't see me. I can't reach 'em. The world's got her." So they like that tree that has dropped all of its beauty and all of it's life that you know and you've got acquainted with and you love, and now to you it's looking like a tree skeleton. Yes. But G-d's word revelation teaches us that that tree can bloom and blossom again. Oh yes. It can blossom again and all it needs is the right circumstances for its environment. And G-d put human life originally or for the first time, He put it in a situation called the garden. The garden of paradise.
Yes. The garden of paradise. And you maybe should ask, where is that garden of paradise? Where is that heaven that G-d put our first life in? Where is the garden of paradise? It's where thinking is not corrupt. It is where people still care about one another. Yes. It's where intelligence is growing, not selfishly. Huh? Yes. Not for that compulsive ego, but for the warm heartbeat of a brother in the family of mankind. Yes. Of a brother that want to reach out to his suffering neighbor, of a brother who cares about human life in Africa. Or human life in Iraq, or human life in Palestine, in the Palestinian quarters. Yes. If you going to be the true Muslim, Muslim Christlike, you have to be open-minded, for goodness sake, not close-minded, to hide from justice and fair dealings.
And you have to be big hearted to receive everybody on this planet earth that's suffering into your heart and care about them. Not that you should reject your own at home. No, charity starts at home and spreads abroad in both the book of the Christians and the book of the Muslim. Charity starts at home. But it should not stop there. If you still have charity to share or if you don't, you should give a little bit to the home and a little bit to the crying life outside your home. Yes. Then G-d will be with us and G-d will keep us. Don't ever fear. G-d says it is the Satan that wants to frighten us and make us afraid, fearing that we going to die poor or in poverty.
And it is a Satan and his imps and sympathizers that want us believe to believe that G-d himself is impoverished, that mankind is enriching his world by himself and because of his own mind and efforts or intelligence and efforts that G-d is not doing anything. Very recently there's published in one of our daily newspapers, a book being written by an intelligent man, and he's saying that the day is coming or has already come, that religion is not even necessary anymore. Religion is not even necessary anymore. Well, who would be pleased the most if we would give up on religion? Satan, the Shaitan himself. So let us be aware of these things. Returning to that tree, the picture of a tree in the conclusion. We have about three minutes to conclude. If we will allow innocent faith to come back into our lives and start to trust G-d and trust goodness again and trust good people again, and trust the good works of good people again, we can have life come back in our feet. Oh yes. The life will come back into our feet. Because it ain't gone. The grass root have roots and it's in those roots. Above the earth, everything appears dead because a bad winter has taken our life away, but above the ground, above the surface of the ground can be life again if we just allow the sap to come from the roots into the ankle.
Up the shin bone to the knees. You know, baby crawls around on his hands and knees and mankind from antiquity have thought that that's a sign that we are born animals. But look how the baby crawls. I've never seen an animal crawling like that. His toes are going to down toward the ground like they want to root, like his toes want to get a poke into the ground. And his heels are straight up reaching for the heavens while he's crawling around like an animal, huh? Toes trying to fix themselves in the ground and pushing himself, toeing himself in to stand with the man one day. And his heels are reaching up, sticking up toward the heavens. Thank you very much. Let's have faith and let's get our life together. Praise be to G-d. Praise be to G-d. We thank him and we know that He's greater than anything imaginable. G-d is our savior, our salvation, and He never runs out of love and mercy for suffering humanity. And He is delivering us all the time whether we can see it or not. So we come to the conclusion of this live broadcast and we have certainly enjoyed being present today and being able to address the topic. And don't forget the topic is What Challenges Us Most Is Corruption. As it was pardon me, when the Satan, the Shaitan, the devil came and seduced us out of our mind that G-d created us for. It's the same today. The invitation is to drop your guard, to think any way you please for conveniences. And more of the world, or more of lust and foolishness, huh?
Yes. So that the door of your life will be open wide to the exploits of the Satan himself who comes in through the doors, through the open ways of our weaknesses, of our weaknesses. We got enough around here surviving, not overcome by Satan or by corruption, to establish a new model of human life and interest on this planet earth. And it's going to happen. It's happening already. So again, thank you and thank you for being present for this live radio broadcast. Peace to you. Asalaam Alaikum.
And we witness that He's one and has no partners with Him in the governing or managing, management of the heavens and earth. And we witness that Muhammad, to whom the Qur'an was revealed is His servant and His Messenger and a mercy to all the worlds that's given in our Holy Book the Qur'an. Upon him be the prayers and the peace in these traditional words, Sa Ala Alahi Wa Salaam, and what follows of that salute to the last Prophet. I think I have more here that I can give you in the next hour, which is partly spent already. We have about 45 minutes and InshaAllah, G-d willing. So what I have to do is take a few minutes to select from my notes what we can handle for this rest of this time. Okay. How many of you in the audience now today here in Homewood at this pleasant place that I grow to love more and more every time I come here. How many of you were present at Masjid Taqwa that had been open to my students, my class by our Imam, Dr. Michael Ramadan. How many of you are here today who were present at our last class meeting? Oh, good. Practically all of you. Practically all of you who are here. Wonderful, wonderful. We were talking about commenting on language of the Qur'an in one of the chapters of the 30th, or last section of Qur'an. The section titled "About what are they debating or discussing?"
And then it says about the great news, great news. And we were giving attention for our discussion to the heel H-E-E-L of the foot. And I promised that I was going to further comment on it didn't I? And I got a message through one of the brothers coming from someone who was there present. And he said the Imam promised that he was going to show us how to apply the knowledge. Well, I did that too. I think this person was really being sarcastic, saying, you're dropping all this heavy knowledge, nobody can use it. What can we do with this? Well, if you can't use it, do like the people of the Bible who were trying to get to the promised land, and they were argumentative, rebellious, doubters. And had troubled their Prophet all along the way. So finally the word came telling them G-d is going to rain from heaven, rain down from heaven for you, Manna and Quail, what you need to get your life up and on the way so you can get in the promised land. So the man is going to appear on the ground in the early Fajr time of the day, and it is going to appear as little dew drops that appears sometime in the morning on the grass and on surfaces, little small specks of water.
Saying it's going to resemble coriander seeds, a little small seed with a nice smell. But when sun come up, the sun is going to cause it to disappear. Like when the sun come up, shine and the warmth and the heat takes that little small specks of dew right off the ground as though they never were there. Dry 'em up, huh? So it says, so before that happened, let every man take his portion that he can get and get into his own house, not a wooden house that you prepare and you go in and out like that, or house you build or material on the ground and you go in and out like that. No, the house of your own mind, spirit, soul, et cetera. Take it internally. That's what it meant. Internalize it, meaning take it into your own house. Now I don't know how we read scripture and can't make connections. The world just disconcerts us. That is, it disarranged our intelligence, our intelligent thinking, so we can't even be helped by intelligence in the mind. Can't make the connections with other intelligence in the mind that has a bearing on the need, the issue or the subject. We can't collect our own thoughts for a given task, especially in religion because we're used to following happy feet. Don't forget that movie.
Yes. So it says take it into your own house because if you wait until the sun get up, too late. What does that mean? Take it in while you are inclined or in a spirit to take it. Because if you wait until your mind become active in the day on matters of the daylight, you're going to lose it. So take it into your own house. Didn't Jesus describe his body as a house? Yes. In the Bible he describes his body as a house and that he lives in that house. And then he invite all those who will follow him or believe in him to come into that house, the house of his body that conforms to the will of G-d, huh? Yes. And the body is called also temple. The temple. So he asked or he wanted to ask, but he just made a statement that the Imam was going to show us how to apply it. Tell me, the light is shining on in this room right now and we are comfortable because the light is shining in here. But if suddenly these lights go out, we won't be too comfortable will we? And if every day you got up and the sun didn't get up and you know it's supposed to be day time and every day you getting up, it happened for seven days now. You've been getting up and no sunshine like the sun has been eclipsed so thoroughly, there's no sunlight anywhere. How would that make you feel? And if on the eighth day the sun came up again or came through whatever was blocking the light and shined on you for another bright day, look how happy you would be. Now that's just what the Lord has done for you with the son of Elijah.
Now don't ask me how to apply it. Each one of you look at your needs, look at your own personal circumstances. Now if your circumstances in need is that of a gnat, don't ask me big questions with your little small self. If your intelligence was big enough, you wouldn't even ask me such questions. How to apply what you are giving us. Your brain would be turned on, your intelligence would be energized, your thoughts would be coming so fast and so powerful. You would be so grateful and so full that you'd just be waiting for me to conclude so you wouldn't disrespect me. So you could get to work with your new mind and new intelligence.
G-d said He made the day for livelihood and the night for rest. Now we may use the night in different ways and use the day and abuse it, but G-d said He made the day for livelihood, for activities that support your needs and community. And He made the night for rest so you'll be rejuvenated. And He takes you into a quiet, peaceful place and He turns the lights of the world out, and He lets you hear the voice of Elijah Muhammads son, and it rejuvenates you, repair you for the rising sun. So when the light come on, don't ask me how to apply it. Take your matter into your own house, before it dries up and burn away in the light of your small mind. I hate to talk to you that way, but you asked for it. Allah says, Highly glorified is He in the Qur'an, talking about trees. We always follow up on the subject. Whenever we give the broadcast, the live broadcast, we follow up on it the second hour. Allah says, "And there are some trees out of which comes fire." Fire. And He calls the tree, green tree, green tree. Now green tree, what does it mean? A baby tree. And the evolution of human intelligence for community life. It's a baby tree. Green means first. See those things that are green are usually the things that appear after coming out of the dark womb of the soil. The top soil, when they come out of the dark womb of the soil, the sunlight paints them green. Yes. The roots are white out of the sunlight, innocent and pure as G-d created them. But the life of the plant turns green in the light of the sun. Like the grass, like the vegetables that turn green, like the leaves of the tree that are green. But here is a tree supporting leaves with a wooden body, strong body of wood.
And the green comes after the tree and the bark about the wood, and the branches branching out, and the leaves coming to form on the smaller branches. On the very small branches. If you see leaves growing out of the heavy wood, then that's a tree that dropped it's seeds. And some of it's seeds got lodged into crevices of the bark and took root in the crevices of the bark. And that's why you see green leaves on the trunk of the tree growing out of it. That's not the normal circumstances. The normal circumstances would have the leaves forming on the small, very small branches that branch off from the big ones. And they appear green, beautiful green. And in the fall they even appear more beautiful for most trees, most plants. So the green is the first phase and that's why the grass is a symbol, or a parable of the grass is a parable of the life of the Son of man in the Bible. This is a life, first phase of the life. And the green is not woody or hard, stiff. The green is soft is soft. So this is there. So when the fellows on the street during my boyhood and early teens, they say, "Oh man, he's green."
Meaning he wasn't yet grown up in his mind, that he was ignorant of the matters of life that were important to the guys on the street. "Oh, he's green." There's a lot to be said about this color green. But let's stay with scripture. Jacob. He came to Levin, and he wanted Levin the father to give him his daughter Rachel. And Levin accepted that he be given Rachel on the condition that he worked seven years for her. As a dowry I guess. So Jacob believing that, he worked seven years and at the conclusion of the seven years, he came for Rachel. But Levin told him, oh no, the first seven years was not for Rachel, that's for Leah. Now Rachel, as the name implies, she's the spiritual community. She has means to rise up from the earth and sails through the skies. But Leah, she's of the earth, she can't take to the air and fly. So that was a great disappointment for Jacob because he came for the spiritual community, not for the material community. So what happens before this agreement takes place? He invites the landlord, the boss Levin, to agree upon something that will permit him to get establishment on Leah's land. I mean on Levin's land. On Levin's land. And he said to Levin, he said, "Will you agree that all the cattle that come rain streaked, R-A-I-N streaked, be mine. And those that are not born rain streaked be yours?" Rain is a play on the spiritual life. And Levin agreed to it. He said, okay. He said, all those that come rain steaked will be yours. So Jacob set up a situation to have cows give babies that would be rain streaked, all of it's symbolic or mysterious,
He said as a (tarif), if you can understand what I'm saying. He said, I'll have the cows when they come to drink water facing the plant that I have stripped all the covering off of to show the cows what's under the cover of these trees or these plants. So he stripped some of the outer covering off and what was shown or what appeared was the white and the green of the plant, of the meat of the plant, the white and the green. That's what appeared. So those cows that came to drink and he had did that thing in their sight. So that when they're drinking, they couldn't help to see that and they gave birth to babies or calves that were rain streaked. So that's how Jacob got cattle power.
Now to save a lot of conversation, a lot of time, because for some of you it doesn't make any difference whether it's a half a minute or 10 hours. And I have my students out there and among them is a good number that I don't have to waste all their time with. So to make it short, the cows are students, they're students and Jacob are going to make them professors, he going to make them scholars, but they're going to be his scholars. They're going to be his professors, his scholars. So he's teaching them about the nature and in a workings of life, and he's showing them the spiritual life running side by side with the cultural life. With the cultural life, the innocent moral and spiritual life running parallel with the cultural life, with the innocent cultural life, which is the green. The green. So he's showing them how in Jacob's order for society originally the two life urges or concerns were running parallel in their original nature. They run parallel and they are good, the green and the white.
Yes. So this is attractive to those cows who are going to bear the new generation of scholars. This is attractive to them. He excites them with this insight into the culture of Levin. And he educates them in ways that they had no way of being educated before. So now their loyalty is no longer to Levin. Their loyalty is to Jacob. This same Jacob managed to trip his own brother in the womb of the mother so that he came out first to look like he's the one that's justly due the first claim to inheritance. Said first when he tricked him up in the womb, he took his brother's birthrights and then he also fed him pottage and took his inheritance. This is Jacob, not Jacob the Prophet. This is the world that schemes to rob man of his inheritance, of his rights and his inheritance. This is the wicked world. I again repeat not Jews, not the Prophet Jacob, but that element among the Jews, alright? Working to take man's rights and man's rights to life and man's right to his inheritance away from him. And that's the murder of the innocent original man. Yes. You should recall that language.
So after he worked seven years for Leah, he gets Leah. You see how he got Leah?. So I guess Levin said, I've been watching you, you ain't getting Rachel, I ain't going to give you Rachel. I see what you're doing. I'm going to give you Leah. And Levin ain't nothing but a symbol too. A mysterious symbol. He's not a man. He's not a person. Levin represents the moral culture. The moral culture or milk from which we get butter and cheese. All right. So yes. Get my thoughts back clearly and in order. So now he finishes that period, or that stretch, which is seven years given as a symbolic seven years. And now he is required to work seven years more to get Rachel. So he works, he works seven years more and he finally gets Rachel, what he really wanted in the first place. So that's the reverse of where life normally progresses. G-d made Adam from the ground, right? From the ground, from the earth. And caused it to rain and form the man of the earth. This is the scripture about how Adam was formed.
That's the normal way that G-d cause it to happen. And then after the man is established in the material life, then he finally becomes intelligent enough to turn to G-d and seek G-d for guidance and help. And then comes revelation and the true spiritual life. I said true spiritual life because man is always spiritual. Even the savage is spiritual, but he's not guided by the spirit of G-d until his intelligence is turned on. And it takes some interaction with the material world that holds knowledge and communicates knowledge for man to situate himself, to be intelligent enough to ask for understanding. And an end to confusion in his mind and say, G-d, help me to see your purpose. And he finds the unity of G-d's creation and it leads him to the oneness of G-d. And then he's established in the spiritual, in the true spiritual life intended for mankind by G-d, the Creator, the Maker, the Originator of all the things that exist. So this is the way it happened. That's the normal way for it to happen. But here is Jacob. He's reversing things, isn't he? So Jacob, he didn't even want to start with the earth. He wanted to start with Rachel, the spiritual life because he had experiences in his past that had already educated him enough in the spiritual. He didn't want to waste his time with the spiritual light, with the, pardon me, the material light. He wanted to go directly to the spiritual and get the high sciences. Rachel is representing the high sciences in the spiritual life.
Yes. So the total number of years are 14, right? The sun is 14,000 degrees hot. You ever hear that? You recall that? Alright, you don't have to tell me where it's coming from. I just want you to know that you can recall it. The sun is 7,000, 14,000 degrees hot. So he really wanted to see the major light, huh? That's what he wanted. He wanted the major light, not the moon. He wanted the sunlight. But this sunlight is not the sun that we think of that will come up tomorrow morning and let us know it's time to get up and get ready for whatever we have to do in the day. No, not that sun. All of this is in the temple. All of this is in the house, inside the house. The house of man's own body and life. That's where it is. So that sun is 14,000 degrees hot.
And what is a thousand symbolic of? Symbolic of community consciousness. 1000 is symbolic of community consciousness. When you become community conscious in your sensitivities, in your morals, et cetera, that of the sensitive nature, you have reached 1000. And to keep increasing until you reach 7,000. When you reach 7,000, you have only completed that that a man have access to by virtue of his own natural life and his own natural intelligence. The second seven run, you need G-d's guidance for that. You can't make that one without G-d's assistance. You need special assistance from G-d's own guidance for that. And when you complete it, then you have the 14th and your life has been lit by the sun. The temple, the lights are turned on. There's light in the temple now. That's what the 14 is. And there are scholars in Mecca, if they were hearing me right now, oh, they would be so attentive and so happy. In Mecca. Because they know they have access to these treasures and they would be so happy to see me uncovering things that are in the treasure chest.
Yes. And by the way, I want to share this with you. I haven't gotten the proof yet, but I ask the proof, that the proof be brought to me. I'm told that Mecca has printed a Qur'an. And the English translation for Raabil Al Amin is the translation that I've given you all, Lord of all the systems of Knowledge. That's what I'm told. Now, if they have done that, you know what they're saying boldly? We recognize Imam WD Mohammed and G-d's enlightenment that He has given WD Mohammed and we've changed the language from Lord of all the Worlds to Lord of all the systems of Knowledge. When I first made that statement to Non- members of our community, I was in Malaysia. I think I shared this with you last Sunday at the class. They had invited me to speak with special leaders in Malaysia from Universities, but also from other areas of science and even medicine, doctors of medicine. And when I made that statement, one of the members present there, stood up and he said, "Imam Mohammed, thank you so much. I have never heard it expressed that way. Thank you so much for your insight. It made me feel so much richer in my understanding of what the Qur'an is saying." That's what he said.
I didn't need him to say that to me. When our Lord guides you, when the Lord Creator of all things, when He guides you to knowledge, you don't have to have any witnesses because He, He's not even guiding you to it unless you are right in your heart and mind. And you don't need anybody to give you praise or thanks for it. You don't need anybody to acknowledge what G-d has given you. It doesn't take a thing away from you if they don't acknowledge it because it gives you nothing if they acknowledge it. What can you all give me after G-d has given me? I mean, if you can reason with me and understand what I'm saying, no matter how important you are to this community, no mater how important you are to my leadership. If G-d gives me something, what can you give me after that that's going to impress me or make me feel enriched or deprived if you hold it back from me? Nothing. You can't influence me. So I don't even have to tell you. And when I was telling them, I was telling them just like I talk to you, same way, just as casually and with no pressure on me at all. If they had responded with no sign at all that they respect it, it wouldn't have bothered me at all
Because I do it automatically. And I feel well, I go back home. No acknowledgement of what I said, but I know I dropped the bomb with a drill on it. And it is time to not explode until it reaches one mile deep in the earth of their mindset. I ain't worried about it. All I'm supposed to do is let it go and go on back to the United States. Get back home. And if I hear from you later, good. If I don't, it's okay. This is real. I'm telling you, what I'm telling you is real. Yeah. So you say, how can we apply, how can we apply this great science? Okay, how can we apply all this wisdom? Where can we use it? Maybe you can't use it anywhere, but I'm sure there's some out here in this audience that can use it. And they're going to use it, and get great benefit. See the same rain coming from the same heaven rain down on the same ground. Listen at this, that rain come down on the same ground. But some things come up beautiful and rich and other things come up niggardly, offering nothing.
No sense, no beauty, no nothing. That's life. And that's the justice of G-d. Yes. If your soul is not inclined to appreciate what G-d gives you, why should you be enriched? So you listen to me and you go back laughing. You saw nothing "Waste of my time, man. What he talking about?" Now that fool is dangerous for you innocent, intelligent people. Yes, he's dangerous. Because he just want to kill your spirit. He can't share the feast, he can't come to the wedding. He can't sit at the table and enjoy the feast. So he wants to hurt your spirit so you don't enjoy it. You don't get to the table and you don't enjoy it.
So that fool is cheap. But he's dangerous in the company of the people. He's dangerous. He's there to kill your spirit. Now he say he didn't get anything. Why does he keep coming back? To kill your spirit! He ain't nobody to handle. He's very easy to handle. In fact, most of it my students, you don't need my help to handle. No, you don't need any help from me to handle it. But for the sake of the few that need my help, that's why I shared that thought with them. We got a couple of more minutes.
So in conclusion, when you read about the life and the world, even the external world, like what grows on the land, what grows naturally and what grows by human life and human efforts on the land. And what is in the sky above your head, clouds, the lower heaven, the moon, the lower heaven, and then the Psalms, the higher heaven. When you read about all these things in scripture, understand that G-d is using His creation that He created to hold the knowledge and secrets of your inner house in a world, the world within your own body, your world within. The world of knowledge and sciences, especially for the spiritual perception called the minor chasm and the external world, the major chasm. And that is to say that what's in you is given in a big picture. And that's the world, the material world that you witness with your eyes and senses all around you, the planet earth and whatever is above in the skies. That's the major chasm. Now you are formed of the major chasm and in the major chasm. And your growth, the growth of your consciousness and the growth of your intelligence potential depends on you making a connection with your mind and your life. Connecting your mind and your life to the outer world that G-d created, all of it, earth, skies and everything. When you make that connection, then the universe will become G-d's ayats, and you'll be able to read the universe. Not just the Bible of the Muslims or the Bible of the Christian. You'll be able to read the universe and you'll get communication from the whole universe. Communicating it's secrets to you of how to build the minor chasm and the environment you need for the community life on this planet earth.
Now. The fool, he says "That guy is really stretching his imagination. I think he's crazy, but he's sure can stretch the imagination. He, he's sure got a special way of dealing with things seen and unseen." That's what the fool will say. And don't be discouraged by the fool because there's a whole section of Qur'an on the fools. And Allah reveals say "They think We are the fool, but they're the fools. But they can't perceive it." They are really the fools, but they cannot understand it or cannot know it. Yes.
So this is not given to insult them or to criticize them. This is given to situate us not to be slowed up by ignorant crowds, not just one or two among us. No, you're going to run into ignorant crowds. There's going to be whole groups that's going to be telling you you are wrong and you're dumb, and you are off track and you're not understanding it rightly. You ought come to the Church or come to the Rabbi or you ought to come to somebody else. They'd be telling you these things. You ought to join our metaphysical school or join this or join that. They'll be telling you these things. Whole groups of people will be challenging you. And I'm just situating you to be on your Ps and Qs, whatever circumstances you run into that may challenge or dampen your spirit, challenge your spirit or dampen your spirit. Thank you very much. We've had a good time here today. All Praise is due to Allah. So we thank Allah for His mercy and for His guidance and pray that He always accept us and grant us mercy and grant us guidance. Ameen.
