Time For Greater Communities Markham, IL

By Imam W. Deen Mohammed
Imam WD Mohammed:
They helped us to build this country, make this country great and strong and I think now they're saying the white man is a fool. He let them go, let us get them. They don't know we have changed. We are all Nat Turners when it comes to situations like that. No, we don't either and no way that can happen. No way. They're making a big mistake thinking that they can take the place of the white people over us. As if we're going to let them come in and be the new white man over us. It'll never happen. Timbuktu then is a connection we want. We should have that connection. I was guest speaker at this occasion, and I told them that the Honorable Elijah Muhammad wanted to see us connect with Africa. He put on the cover of the Muhammed Speaks newspaper, African and African American, blacks of Africa, blacks of America, connecting hands, drawing hands stretching all across the Atlantic Ocean and putting our hands in each other's hands. The black man's hand of America with his hands in the black man's hand of Africa. And it wasn't the Honorable Elijah Muhammad; we first told us we should connect with our mother land and our people. Marcus Garvey did that and several other leaders of past, they did that. But the Honorable Elijah Muhammad did it in a very unique way, very unique way, very special way.
He was a very unique man period. He was a different man. Never did we have an African American like the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. And I don't think we'll ever have another like the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad is regarded as an important leader not only by Muslim, Muslim, African Americans, but many Christian African Americans. In fact some of our most popular leaders have told me in private meetings we refer to your father as father. We also call him father. Called him father isn't that something? I remember talking to James Brown. I came to see his show and he had learned that I was there so he invited me to come behind stage and be meet him. I did and I was so happy to see him. I said, I just want to tell you that we really appreciated your song black and proud. I said because it did a lot to make us aware of ourselves and to make us feel good about ourselves. He said it was your father who inspired that song. That's what James Brown said to me. He looked surprised when I was saying this to him, like he was surprised. He had a look of surprise on his face like you giving me credit? He said It was your father who inspired that son. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad inspired a lot of good.
He gave us courage. He gave the weak and fearful courage. Yes, great courage. So Timbuktu is a connection for us and a connection for Islam. Dr. C. Eric Lincoln, African American Christian theologian, he wrote, he has written many papers but he wrote two books, two historical books I would say. One was on the black church as the only institution of Black America and the other was on Muslims and the title was the Black Muslims. The title is the Black Muslims. He said, I had a chance to get to know him and really spend some time with him over the years, several years before his passing. Dr. Lincoln said that we have, African Americans, blacks in America have an Islamic past and an Islamic heritage. Now you know we come from different parts of Africa and different ideas or different persuasions that were in us, different religions if you want to put it that way. But Islam was the most popular religion on that continent. Lived and still is the most popular religion on the continent of Africa. So for us to ignore that, even if we are Christian, and I'm not telling you to stop being a Christian, but even if you are a Christian, I think you would be a more comfortable Christian if you accept that Islam is the heritage of black America.
Most who are not Muslim they should regard Islam still as their heritage because it is the religion of so many of us, you should still regard it as your heritage and benefit from it. Islam is not only spiritual teaching. Islam is rational teaching. Islam is a history. Islam is a culture. Islam is science. So we shouldn't ignore that great civilization that we had on the continent of Africa and still there. Nations are still surviving, and they are not in any worse shape than nations of Islam in other places. In fact, some of them are better, in better shape than Islamic countries that are Arab, that are Arab countries. Some of those countries in Africa are in better shape than those countries and the whole world. Some will say "Well, what did Islam do for Africa. Look at the bad condition it's in." Go to Poland, look at the bad condition Poland is in. And go to many other parts of Europe and look at the bad condition that Christian whites are in. And are you going to charge that to the Bible, to Christ Jesus, Peace be on him or to Christianity? No, you wouldn't do that. So don't do it to yourselves.
The people fail. Not the truth. The truth never fails. The people fail. And this is something that is given to us by the Prophets themselves. Even Jesus. He said according to the Gospel, "As long as long as I'm in the world, I'm the light of the world." So what does that say? I can't guarantee you that this light is going to stay here when I'm gone. But as long as I'm here, as long as I'm in the world it's going be here. Okay. Did Muhammad say something similar to that? Yes he did. He said, "My nation is going to go down. Darkness is going to come upon it." And he said, "But it will rise back up just as it began on the backs of the common people." That's what he said. And I believe what has happened in America in this strange way by the teacher of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, my father, Mr. Fard and by my father Elijah Muhammad, this strange way of bringing the name Islam and Muslim to us, I believe it is G-d's way. G-d's way. To that that we don't even expect to have a contribution to humanity. G-d supported it. G-d protected it until it until we could break out of this ignorance and out of this darkness and come into the light. And the very ones that put us in the dark, they gave us hints and help to help us get to the light. You say, "Well what kind of stuff is that? That sounds strange." Well tell me, does this sound strange? In the gospel, in the Bible it is said that the man was blind and Jesus took spit and mixed it with dirt, made mud and put that mud on that blind man's eyes. Tell me could he see with mud on his eyes? Something was guiding him to obstruct what little vision he had left in him. Maybe he could see shadows but with that mud on there I'm sure he couldn't see anything. And that's just what the leper wants is to stop you from seeing anything and then you can see again. So what we were looking at was slavery. What we were looking at was confusion. What we were looking at was not appreciated by us. It didn't help our dignity as a people. So the answer was to put a cover over our opinion. Cover our eyes so we don't see anything.
We don't see anything at all but the mud. All you see is the mud but you can't really see the mud. All you know is it's on your eyes. I know you all understand what I am talking about. You experienced this in the Nation of Islam. So I'm calling mud that that you couldn't understand that was not of the real world, not of the real history, but it was another history that you accepted that it was true. It was put on your eyes. You didn't have no proof that it was true. You couldn't go to the library and dig up anything and prove it. It wasn't a part of this world teaching. And that was on your eyes and you were comfortable with it on your eyes even if you couldn't see. And you said "Yes, I can see." And if someone said "Well tell me what's on your eyes?" You couldn't do it. That thing was on your eyes. You couldn't do it. You could see what plain me was on your eyes. You couldn't do it.
You could just say, "Well it is truth. All I is it's the truth. It makes me feel good." Well can't we testify that we were blind and the teaching that we received in the Nation of Islam led us to see? I'm the son of that leader and I'm a student of that leader. I was a student of that leader and I followed the hints from him and his teacher. I followed those hints and I came to the position that I am in now. So the world can say what they want to say about the teacher of my father and about my father.
But just like that blind man know how he got his sight. I know how I got mine. They put mud on my eyes and when I got the mud off, they guided me to the water that would take the mud off. And when I got the mud off I could see. I would like to do a commentary on those manuscripts. I believe G-d has blessed me to see something that the old world could not see. I'm being just humbly honest with you. Okay? I believe that G-d has blessed me to see and what they recorded, what they themselves could not see. And I'm sure I'm going to see much that they couldn't see. Now is there is support for that possibility? Muhammad the Prophet during his last sermon at the pilgrimage sites, when he was preaching he said to the following that was there, he said, "You present, pass it on to those who are absent and those pass it on to others and maybe the last to receive it would understand it best."
That's what the Prophet said. And I remember my mother was a faithful church goer before she changed her faith to Islam and I used to hear her singing, "We'll understanding it better by and by. So even the Christian poor in the church, they knew they weren't understanding everything. They knew there was a lot they couldn't understand. And what they really couldn't understand is why they had to be under white people and be treated like they were treated. That's what they really couldn't understand. Is a just G-d, is He really for this? They didn't believe that a just G-d would be for the white man mistreating them as he was mistreating them. And I'm sure that was the spirit behind that song. We'll understand it better by and by. But that's true according to the saying of Muhammad the Prophet. That's true for the Muslims of the old days. That they after waiting for the time come and for many others to be reached with this message of Islam and the teachings of the Prophet, for them to understand it better for them to understand it better.
He didn't lie to them. He told them the truth and he knew what was coming so he told them you who are present, pass it on to those who are absent and those pass it on to others. And maybe the last to receive it will understand it best. So he was saying, I'm not satisfied with the way you all are presently are understanding my message, but it'll be understood better with the generations to come and with more people being reached. Now in light of what the Prophet himself prepared us for as it was recorded can't you now feel more comfortable in your heart that the mess up in the Islamic world had to happen to discredit that old world, to discredit that old world and it's preaching of Islam. To discredit because a new preaching of Islam is coming by the one who understand this better. This man you're looking at now he's some man, he humbles me, he humbles my spirit. I'm a regular guy. As soon as I finish here I'm going to see a movie. I'm a regular guy. But when I look at this preacher that G-d has put in this body of mine, oh that man is something, he is something and we are blessed to have him. I said we. Warith Deen Mohammed and you all are blessed to have this man that's inside of this body. And I know for sure that the G-d that made the heavens and the earth, the G-d that started men out in the path that leads to Him is the G-d that's with us and the G-d that put this man inside of this body. I know that. Same G-d.
So you want to stay on this theme the time has come for better and greater communities, but I think the situation is not anywhere near as good for the rest of the world, for most of the rest of the world as it is for us in the United States of America. This is a very special country. Can't you see a parallel for what has happened to Islam and what has happened to America? Look, America had a beautiful idea from the Founding Fathers., But look what it did. It bought blacks from Africa and put them in bondage and treated them as they were nothing but beasts.
Not that all whites did this. Many whites were not guilty of this. But there are enough of them to frighten the others. Say, "Well you want us to just give them the same opportunities as we have in this country. Do you know what they'll do once they come to power? So they frighten the others. The bad ones frightened the good one and they tolerated the evil of the bad ones because they had fear in them of what would happen if we were permitted to progress in this country. And I'm sure they said don't you know these niggas used to be kings in Mali and Songhai. You know these niggas used to be kings in Kush even before Islam. They were kings in Kush and the Kushites once ruled the whole world. You want these niggas to take over America? We got to keep in bondage.
The simplest thing can give me as much of a thrill and as much joy as strong liquor for those that need it. I don't need strong liquor. This water gives me a high. When I took it behind what I said whoo boy. So don't you expect to go home and taste that water. Yes. So we can see that the same thing that happened to Islam happened to the great ideas of the Founding Fathers. Those great ideas were here from the beginning of this country, but slavery came here after those great ideas and look how slavery divided the North and the South, white brother from white brother, and made the American beauty beautiful have also made America, the ugly. Look how the truth and the purity in the ideas of the Founding Fathers stayed with the country, stayed with the people and won more and more support from the good people and influenced the nation, the country, the government to change the whole country and abolish slavery and bring equal opportunity to all citizens.
It's the triumph. It's the triumph of the purity and truth of the Founding Father's ideas over that that came to discourage it and spoil it. So likewise it is for Islam. The purity of Islam survives in the Qur'an to awaken others to it that will see it afresh and will be new minded and new spirited and will look at the old world and say you are gone astray. You're out of line with this beautiful book and you have to change your way and come back to the true Islam. The same thing is happening to Islam that has happened to this country. Yeah. And that should be to you as clear that water in that glass. That's the water we make our ritual of washing called ablution. Ablution, wudu, wudu as it's called in Islamic language. It's called wudu. It has to be clear. You can't see anything in it. It has to be odorless. You smell it, you can't smell anything and you have to taste it and it has to be tasteless. You can't taste anything. So some of the water we got, a lot of the water we got coming out of our faucets is not fit to do ablution with. I have been in New York City and turned on the faucet and smelled the water.
It wasn't fit for ablution. You could sometimes look at it, it's got a color to it. It's not fit for ablution. You taste it and it taste bad. It isnt fit for ablution. I'm going stop right there. No I'm not. I can't stop there. So if you all see me doing this before prayer and go on and pray, you know the water isnt fit. When the water isnt fit, we are not supposed to use it. When the water isnt fit we supposed to do tayanuum. Okay, thank you. I don't want you punishing yourself.
So that water smell like its toilet water. Yeah coming out of the faucet. And scientifically speaking, no water is fit in the United States of America unless you're getting it from a well and the well water is not changed. No water is fit. They put chemicals in the water. You know how much chemicals put in that water to make it safe for us to drink here in Markham? In Chicago, our water comes from Chicago. Look at all the chemicals thats put in there. So technically, technically speaking is that water fit for wudu? Not it's not. Everything happens according to the will of G-d in our time.
G-d says at a time coming, he's going to bring in a new heaven, a new earth. I know you all saying, but that's Christianity, not Islam. That's what you think. Yeah, it is in Islam too, in the Qur'an too that He's going to make everything new. He's going to renew it. He is the one that renews. He creates and He renews creation. One of His attributes is the renewal. Yes, the Bible and the Qur'an has more similarity, more of the same teaching that most of us know. Most of us can't see it. Alright, I'm going to soon bring this to a conclusion. Now I'm coming back to prophecy like I did two Sundays ago I think it was. Prophecy. I mentioned the prophecy that are in both scriptures of the problem of people living together in what we call cities and how the cities were going to become so overcrowded that the people would lose their spirituality.
Most of the people would lose their spirituality and the city life of buying and selling and having fun et cetera, would just wipe them out. Just wash them out, destroy them. Both books say the same thing. Corruption has spread both on land and sea. That's in the Bible and the Qur'an. Corruption has spread on land and sea. That means everywhere there's coming a time when corruption will be everywhere, there'll be no place to go to escape corruption. Aren't we living in a time like that right now? You can't go, there's no holy place, there's no saintly place. There's no place where you can be safe.
So problems of crime or bad people or people who will corrupt you or your daughter or your son. There's no place where you can be completely safe. No place. Not even in Markham, this small town, not even here. So we have come to such a time and the world is crowded and becoming more and more crowded. Oh no, sorry, there's a reversal. A reversal has been noted. They are reporting now that for most nations, births are decreasing, not increasing. Births are decreasing. And they said it could be because of a number of things and one of the things they say that most likely is a factor, cause for this is the popular culture of today. The culture that Pope John Paul called the culture of violence and many others with him, some before him called the culture of death, the drug culture, et cetera. The culture of violence, the culture of drugs, the culture of self-destruction, destroying yourself for fun. Doing things and not even aware that you're destroying yourself.
You just having fun. So we've come to the times that were predicted. The time was in the Bible says and the Qur'an says. There'll be crowds, there'd be noise, great noise. Isn't a lot of noise in the world today? And widespread corruption and people destroying themselves choosing death rather than choose life. That time is here, time is here. And the end to describe in these words say it will be of great, this is Bible, it will be a great and dreadful day, a great and dreadful day. Now here is something that appears to be a contradiction, but it could be great dread, it could be great in power, a day that is great in power like the United States of America and some other parts of the world. But a dreadful day because the power is not used in the right way. Or the real power is not recognized and that's the power of our G-d who made everything you see? A great and dreadful day.
But I'll tell you exactly what this is saying, The Bible backs it up, the Qur'an backs it up It will be a dreadful day for those who choose self-destruction, corruption, drugs, violence and falsehood. But it will be a great day for those who choose the way of life, who choose G-d. It'll be a great day for them. And we know that there's a lot of suffering. Fact, all of us got some member in our family that's suffering. I know I have. If you've got five children, one of them most likely is suffering. So we all got members in our family that are suffering. Suffering the corruption of this world.
But if you are with G-d in this day and time, if you are with the new mind for truth, peace and justice in this day and time, your peace is not taken away from you. Though you are in this hell, your peace is not taken away from you. Just as it is said of the righteous in the Bible and the Qur'an. They'll be right in the fire but the flame will not touch them. Also there's a prophecy that light, the light will grow. Light of what? Light of truth. Light of the light that G-d wants for His human family that He created. Then the light will grow and grow and spread and spread until the light fills the whole world. This is the scripture, this is the prediction that I say to you is both in the Bible and the Qur'an.
You have to recognize it when you're reading the Qur'an to know that you're reading the same that it says in the Bible in different language, slightly different language or a different topic maybe. The good life will grow and spread until one day it will fill up the whole world. This is the prediction for better or worse the world and what's in it grows by externalizing what is internal. When G-d says to us, the Bible says it too in different language. When G-d says to us that your creation is like that of a plant, a plant G-d is saying to us that the life force of a plant is concealed in the seed.
When you look at the seed you don't see its life form. There's no way you can see an apple in an apple seed. No way you can see a mustard plant in a mustard seed, but it's there. It's there. And there was no way to see the true Ummah of Islam in the temple, but it was there. It just had to come out of that seed. Our humanity, the good soul and true heart and feelings and all that beauty that is in a true human person, a really good human person, that's internal. It's internal. It is born in every baby. Every baby that comes from his mother has that. And the world may live to see it take form, blossom and take form and produce or it may not, depending upon the circumstances for it. But it's there. So how are we. to understand what is happening, the good and bad forces, the good and bad influences. We should understand that the good influences are the only influences we are born with. The bad influences are the influences we make for ourselves.
It's going to be manifest. It is going to be materialized. Okay, so understand from a guy that some Muslims call a speaker who speaks philosophy that confuses it with Islam. That's what I've been told. That I speak philosophy and I confuse it with Islam. Take it from this guy who likes to think and likes to be associated with the philosopher. This guy, although I don't think of myself as a philosopher, I have learned a lot and been inspired a lot by philosophers going way back into history. And philosophers are called in the Qur'an thinkers, and the thinkers came before the Prophets. There were thinkers before there was Messengers and Prophets. The thinkers became Messengers and Prophets. Abraham was a thinker before he became a Prophet. Muhammad was a thinker before he became a Prophet. And because they were thinkers, G-d preferred them over those that didn't think. And He chose them to be His Messengers because they were already on the road. Thinking puts you on the road then G-d can come and give you some help.
Now not only is our essence as humans, biological humans inside us and have to come out of the life germ of the man and the life germ of the woman to materialize as a flesh blood person, but also that that makes us human. And the flesh does not make us human; the flesh help us become human, but it does not make us human. We are human in the flesh before we realize the nature of the flesh, we are human already. G-d makes us human. He gives us a human soul and the human soul is put in a flesh body that can be an animal or human.
It can be either one, an animal or human. The wrong thing developing and the wrong influences and wrong thing developing will make an animal inside that body where a human supposed to be. The right thing developing, you realize the human. So now not only the biological germ of life but also the spiritual germ of life, the human spirituality is inside that seed and inside that sperm and inside that woman. It's in there and it too have to externalize itself. It is internal but it has to be externalized. G-d says, and both your life and your death is as the life and death of a single person. If one of us can have that externalized, in time it can externalize and multiply and spread and spread and spread until it envelops the whole world and we will have the good life feeling the whole world. The good life will humanize the world, humanize the world. That's exactly what I see. I will admit that I'm speaking philosophically now, but that is exactly what I see happening.
The greatest act or the greatest appearance in man's life and in man's world in my perceptions or in my understanding is just that. No matter what evil does, no matter what Satan and his influences do, that that power is in human life to express itself out of that. And it is going to externalize itself until it humanizes the whole world of animals and beasts and devils. It's going to externalize itself until it humanizes the whole world. And whether you are taught and educated in a school or in a Masjid, it doesn't matter. Once you see the good influence of truth, you are going to be affected by it. Just as you see the influence of lies and you're affected by it, when you see the influence of truth, you're going to be affected by it. Now to help this along, I want you all to support me. Support me in taking charge of our material environment. Because it's the material environment that forms out of the womb that will prevent us growing If we don't learn to penetrate it or break through it like a little chick breaks through the shell of an egg.
If you don't get some kind of help to break through it or to change it, it is going to hold us in prison forever. I don't want this material environment holding us in prison forever if we don't have to have it holding us in prison forever. We are free in America to take charge of our neighborhood. We are free in America to take charge of our home life and take charge of our neighborhood. So let us do it. There's nothing in the law of the United States, whether it's federal or local law. There's nothing in any law that says we have to tolerate liquor stores. We have to tolerate prostitute houses. Good Christians have gotten rid of that in their neighborhood. So how come good Muslims can't do the same? As good Muslims, we have to do the same. Let us target the area.
Say well this is one area. We don't have enough money to do all the areas that we occupy, but this is one area that we are going to work on until that the whole area is halal. It means kosher, kosher for Muslims. have drawn us here, we invite them. In fact what I'm saying is this as much for Christians, for Christian as it is for a Muslim. It's just as much for them as this is for Muslims. You don't have to be a Christian to join and support what I'm asking for. A Muslim pardon me. You don't have to be Muslim to join and support what I'm asking for. Here is what I want to see. We have an idea that works for our company. It can work for our neighborhood.
We have this land, the land across the street. We are growing with almost no finances. We are poor people. But our plan is going to grow wealth for us. Because it is not a plan to have wealth first. It is the plan to have the good life that G-d wants us to have firstly, but we need money to have success. We want put that money to the proper use. And G-d is with us. If G-d is with you reading the Bible, if G-d is with you reading the Qur'an, don't you know he's with you doing the things that he gave you in the Bible. He gave you the Bible so you can have a good life and a productive life. That what the Bible says. To have life and have it abundantly. That's what the Bible says. And the Qur'an says that we have given you abundance, same language slightly changed. And we have given you abundance. So that both books want us to have life and have it abundantly. Have it abundantly means prosper, thrive and prosper good life. That's what it means. So if G-d gave us books to have us prosper, don't we know it's better for us to stop reading those books and start acting on our problems in the neighborhood then to keep reading those books and not prosper? He gave us the book so we could prosper.
I'm not saying put down the book, I'm only saying let us apply the good teachings of the book and let us see the direction that G-d wants us to go in in the book. Let us see it and let us have the courage to go in that direction and let us do what the Christian world has done. The Christian world has gone ahead of the rest of the world and they have more wealth than the rest of the world. They have more power than the rest of the world. So the Christian world has not failed. The ignorant creatures have failed. The Christian world has not failed. There's some very intelligent, very intelligent enlightened creatures and they're not the kind that will sit around and let that neighborhood go to pot.
There's more than one definition for pot. They would not sit around and let their neighborhood go to pot. So those are the Christians that support good government leadership. Those are the Christians that will protect us from having demagogues over the United States. Whereas the Christians who just let the neighborhood go to pot and just to preach them happy, just to preach them happy, also the government and the majority of the United States of America go to pot were it not for those who have right understanding of the scripture and right appreciation for the value of the word of G-d and are determined to have life and to have it better and to have more of it and to have it abundantly and to work to include all people in it. That's the justice of G-d. You have to work to include all people in it and when you do that, you got G-d on your side.
But if you cut somebody out because you want to enjoy and have it to yourself or you don't like them, you make it a personal matter. You also cut the favors G-d out of your life. America has seen that and repented it's wrong. I'm not saying it's perfect. No, we still have very imperfect individuals but the movement of the country is good. This movement is good. It continues year after year, election after election to hold on to what is best, to hold on to what is best from the Founding Fathers and press forward to make the society better and better. So we can't condemn America. No. Even though all these evils make us very uncomfortable, we cannot condemn America. If we just look at the human body sitting on the toilet, we wouldn't have much to admire it for. But it just doesn't want to sit on the toilet. It cleans toilet. It does a lot of wonderful things and it calls people to purity, it calls people to intelligence, it invites people to the good life. So this body is doing a lot more than sitting on the toilet. So don't look at America sitting on the toilet and think that's the whole picture of America.
It look like the Islamic world is sitting on the toilet. And they don't know when to get up. The plan that's working for us as a company, it can work for us as a neighborhood. Eventually we don't care whether you're Muslim or Christian just that you like what we are after. We are after having a better human life, a better environment and better human life for our poor people or for those that are weak. The strong, they make it for themselves. But the weak have to come together to have more strength. But we can have the same idea. Say if we applied the Collective Purchasing Conference idea to our whole neighborhood.
Say if we bought houses. You can't, you don't have the money to buy your own. I don't believe in taking freedom away from anybody. My freedom is so precious to me, I encourage everybody to exercise the maximum of freedom for yourself. But don't let your freedom hurt somebody else unjustly but maximize your freedom for yourself. Say there are some of us, we can't buy a home, we can't buy a three bedroom house, we can't buy a two bedroom house, one bedroom. We can't do that. But we can invest in the person's house and everybody that invests becomes a buyer in the ownership of that house.
Does it make sense to you? It makes good sense to me. If we can track our money to invest in bringing importing shea butter from Africa, and by the way in the area of Mali, that's where our shea butter comes from, comes from that area. If we can do that and import from factories and countries abroad, if we can chip in or put our money in and invest and have a legal document protecting what we acquire as the property of all of us, we could do the same thing for houses. We could end up being the owners of a neighborhood. It's practical. It'll work. And I'm campaigning right now for it. I intend to go on a trip, I'm going on a campaign. I will visit cities around the country that I'm inviting Christians who are in similar circumstances with us. Christians too. I want them to invest with us, to invest in this plan that is already working for us. We're going to give them the information that we have on the beginning of this concept and how it is now starting to bring money in.
We were at a conference, excuse me for diverting like this, but we were having a Collective Purchasing Conference conference and one sister got up, one of our members, and she said, "What about investing in real estate?" And she got my attention and I said, excellent suggestion. And right there at that conference we voted to have CPC invest in real estate. So we did, we invested in real estate. This is real estate and every investor of CPC owns, has a share in the ownership of this. Everything we buy or invest in, every investor, whether it be our only $100 investor has a share. The concept is partnership. Our company is a partnership and it is owned by all investors. All investors are partners in the ownership of what CPC purchases. So if we do the same thing as a neighborhood plan, not as a plan to sell products, but as a plan to own property in our neighborhood until we become perhaps the owner of our neighborhood. We can do that because you can choose where you want to live now. Also, you don't have to have the whole neighborhood, your neighborhood can be part of that neighborhood. Just a part of that neighborhood will be your Muslim neighborhood. So this is very practical, very easy for us.
And I'm going to campaign around the country to get investors. I hope to raise $2 million at the very least. I hope to raise $2 million from investors over the next three months. And who knows, it may happen within three weeks. Allah may cause the hearts and minds to open up and they may just come rushing in and say yes, I want to be an investor, I want to be a part of this. We have some things going. Look, a foolish prediction would be to predict that Imam WD Mohammed and his association going be poor. That would be a foolish prediction.
I see no way of saying anything but Imam WD Mohammed and his supporters are headed for wealth. I won't tell you everything that's happening right now but we are also going in the what you call the vitamin supplement, supplement. Mineral vitamin supplement. And we are not going to be having a lot of it. We're only want to have what I know to be powerful. I had brought to me by one of the members in this community, I have a capsule that when I taste it and smell it right away I identified a medicine that an African in the early fifties gave to us. I had the flu and he gave me some of it. He told me it was a blood purifier. It got me well.
He said, I want to leave this formula, this medicine with somebody. He said I've gone to the people in medicine and they want to rob me. That's a pity he died without giving that to somebody. Now everybody got it I guess. The medical world they have it I'm sure because it's in this capsule. It's in this supplement. I smell it, I taste it, I know it. It's in this supplement. But they have added many other minerals and vitamins to it. I took it. I'm not trying to sell you anything. You who know me I'd rather keep quiet than to have you think that I'm trying to get your money. You know I'd keep quiet rather than to have you in a situation like that. I'm not trying to sell you anything. Please don't buy it if you feel that way. But I'll be selling it soon and the others with me, we going to make some money on it.
My son and I had the virus. We were still in bed. So I told him, I said, we going to take this capsule. My mind told me to open the capsule up and use the powder, just the powder, just the powder substance. So I opened it up, I boiled some water, put it in the cup. I opened it up and I stirred it into the cup of water. I took it. My son Mohammed, where is he? Mohammed, can you hear me? Come here.
He can walk fast too. Walk fast Mohammed, walk fast please. You'll be free to go back in a minute. I know how fast you can walk. You walking slow. You don't want to get attention. You don't want them to be looking at you. This guy can walk. He's a roadrunner. I want you to stand right here while I say this. I want them to see your face, lift your cap up. Tell me this the face of a liar or the face of someone telling the truth. Mohammed, when we were sick with the virus and I put it in the water, we stirred it up and you didn't want to take it. You knew it was going to be good, but you took it and we took it. What did we do when we took it?
He said we both looked at each other and didn't say anything. How many minutes was that after we drank it? He
said like a split second. I would say it was about two or three seconds. It was faster and more effective than pennicillin. Two or three seconds. It was so good, we were so surprised at the results right away we did this, we looked at each other. The next day I got up and I wanted to see if it affected him as it affected me. I said, Mohammed, do you have any cold? Do you feel any cold? What did you say, Muhammad? No cold. No feeling any cold. Did it come back? Thank you.
So you want to keep quiet because the medical field will take charge. We don't want them to take charge. We don't want to excite them. If they see you quietly doing this, they're not going to bother us. I tell you why. There ain't an intelligent scientist on earth that will not respect what we are doing under my Imam and your Imam WD Mohammed. When they hear that we are doing it, they're going to leave us alone as long as we keep quiet and don't broadcast and don't try to make problems and turn people say, "Well why do they have something like this?" So let us keep it quiet and let us get the benefit from it. It's going save you a lot of medical expenses because when the winter time come, right now it's starting. You know flu season.
We get sick and some of 'em can't afford to get the medical help we need. So our children, a lot of 'em suffering too much because we just can't get the help we need. Colds all the time. This is going to be very good for you, very good for you. I told brother John Haqq, any of those who have supported me over the years with your contribution, you don't have to pay for a thing that I'll be presenting to you. Not a thing. I'm coming out with some poems on a tape and a book of poems, five poems to be out within month or so, but the tape will be out very soon. I just want share this other side of my life with you. There are some of you all that might say, oh, that's junk. But some of you will feel about it like I feel about and say, I like this.
If you think it's junk, throw in the trash and let me know you threw it in the trash. We're going to give you your money back. Okay. It'll be coming out. So I'm coming out with some poems on audio tape and later on CD and a book of seventy five poems pretty soon. And I think it would help a lot of our young students. See, they'll read stuff like this. I got one called We got an Itch and the britches change the stitches. And I didn't do this on my own. I had a teacher from the University of Islam. I'm a student from the University of Islam Elementary school. Elementary school. And she told the class, she said, write on something and she limited the words. We couldn't write too many words. It was about a page and a half. So I brought mine to her and she read it and she called me to her desk and she said, do you know Paul Laurence Dunbar? I said, no. She said, he's a poet. She said, you should think about poetry. You have the ability to write poetry. That's what she told me. And I think I was about 13 or 14 years old at the time and I love to do that. So more recently, Muhammad Abdulah, my old friend, some of you know who I'm talking about, who died several years ago.
Muhammad Abdullah, Pakistani brother. He told me, he said, you should write poetry. He had passed and I was at a meeting of the immigrant Muslims and a Sudanese who was reciting poems, I knew him, I had met him before. When he finished, he came over and told me, he said, Imam Mohammed, you should write poetry. I've been writing it all along all the time. When I feel real down, or real happy sometimes I'll just write things for my own entertainment. Just like I guess someone has a piano in the house and they are not trying to reach anybody except themselves and whoever's in the house doesn't want to listen. So they'll play. So that's how I write the same way. But I like to write that way. I think it has sharpened my skills for even preaching. Doing that has sharpened my skills for even preaching the word. Yes. So now I have another supplement I want to talk to you about.
Calcium, Ocean calcium, Coral calcium that I've been taking for now almost two years. I know it helps. It's very good for the body. I know it can help people. And what the distributors of this are saying, I'm not saying all those things. They say many things. Some of the things they say, I don't even want to say to you. All I'm saying is that the human body needs calcium and milk sometimes is not agreeable with us African Americans in particular. And the milk of today carries bacteria. The stuff that you get in your natural environment, the number one carrier of bacteria is water and milk. That's why the water has to be treated to be safe, water and milk. So if we have something that can give us this calcium and help our children grow, the bones develop better, and keep the old folks bones from becoming brittle and just make your life better, why shouldn't we sell it?
You don't have faith in it. You can't find me selling anything that I don't have faith in. I will not be selling you anything for money first, it'll be for the benefits first. Then the money. But with the money, we can do things that we can't do right now for our life, for our school, for our Masjids, for our Muslims in our community. So support me. I thank G-d is shaping me up to go to wealth for all of us, to get all of us to wealth. That's what I believe. And next week on Sunday, let us continue this subject. The time has come for us to have better and greater community. Peace. Asalaam Alaikum
