Imam WD Mohammed:

A Q is more in the front of the mouth than Qul. Qul is in the throat. It's right in the throat. Qaf, that K is right in the throat. In the throat. Not Q, Q is all the way up in the mouth here, it's formed in the upper, higher up. The letter here is formed lower in your throat. Qul, like cough drop. Say cough. That's where Qul is. Qul is formed right there. Cough. You hear it right here. And that's where Qull is formed. So say, and the next word is say There's the vowel sound, A. Little short vowel sound A on the W. This letter here, the W, this letter here H. And this little sign says say HU, Hu. And this little sign here say Huwa. That's how you pronounce it. Say He is G-d, Allah. I'm reading the wrong one. Pardon me. This is the wrong one. This is another surah, short surah. We don't want to say the last one. This is wrong. It's right. Let's continue with this. This is a short one too. We're going to have to do it. So we just continue with that one.
Qul Hu Allahu Ahad. Is that right? Yes or no? Who said no? That's right. It's wrong because that's the wrong H. In Arabic you have more than one H. That's a soft H. It's this H. Well that's an easy H to pronounce. I won't say soft. I think ha is soft too. This is the one. Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad. Ahadun. If we continue to give it the tanween sound on the end, two of these make the sound Un. One of 'em make the sound Fu. Two makes the sound Un. No, it wouldn't be O-N it's be U-N maybe. It's not O-N, it's U-N.
Yeah. You are supposed get U-N, not O-N. One of these, I mean two of these. See I'll put two. Two and I'll put a little dash here. It means always above the letter, goes above the letter always not under the letter, like the other little dash, it goes under E. So this is U-N, pronounced UN. Now look how you can make the same structure. You can change this the way you write it and it means two of them and it's easy, it's easier, faster. See, I don't know if you can see it from there, but this comes back.
I'll make it a little bigger so you can see it. See you make it like that and it means two of these little ones like this, and you pronounce it UN. So you may see it like this or you may see two little ones like this. The same. This means only one, because Wahid means one too. When you're counting, you say Wahid, one. Isnay two, Salati, three, and on. Wahid means one. So Ahad means one only. Only one. Ahad means only one. Or alone. Alone. By yourself. Or by itself. Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad. Say He G-d is only one. Now did Islam give this to the world for the first time? No. When Moses was called according to the Bible, he was told to tell his people that G-d is only one and will have no other G-d before Him. That's what is in the Bible. But the New Testament changed that, the Jews did not follow that, they kept with what they were believing before. And the Islam came to say that yes, that's correct. But it's not correct for you all to dismiss Jesus Christ. He was a Prophet, Messenger of G-d and his birth was virgin. He was born of a woman, not of a man.
That was a little rag here or something before to wipe your hands on. A paper towel maybe. Thank you. We'll keep going. Let's see now. Okay. Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad, Allahu Samad. Means the eternal. The eternal. You put capital because we're talking about G-d. The eternal. I'm going to just pick someone. What does eternal mean Olise?
Speaker 2:
Eternal means I live forever.
Imam WD Mohammed:
Yeah, forever. Eternal means forever. But isn't something missing If you say something is eternal? It didn't have to be eternal to start with. Maybe it came into existence and never goes away. That's why it says "Lam Yulid." Never was He born. Meaning never was He began. He didn't ever have a start. "Wa Lam Yulid.". It doesn't just say He's eternal. It gives more explanation, letting you know that He never had a beginning. Because something eternal, we think of it as having existed always and will never go out of existence. But my love for you is eternal. But it had a start. It had a beginning. See, so eternal doesn't always mean like Allah. Allah had no beginning, never was their a time when He didn't exist. Just as He is and just as He has always been. Never any change came in Him. He existed always as He is. And will exists always as He is. That's why it says "Qul Huwa Alahu Ahad, Alahu Samad." Then it says 'Lam Yulid." Lam means never, never, never. Or did not ever did not ever. Lam Yulid. He did not or ever have father a child. That's what it means. Lam Yulid means He did not ever father a child. Lam Yulid.
This word. "Lam Yulid." He did not ever father a child. He did not ever father child. He did not. And all this word here means to father a child. This little word here Yalid means to father a child. Lam means He did not ever. He did not ever father a child. "Wa Lam Yulid." Nor did ever He come into world as a child. Yulid means to be born as a boy, as a baby boy. Wa means and. You had this word before, but we're reviewing it. If you know good, if you don't know, we're reviewing it. Wa means and. Wa Lam Yulid.
This is long Oo. See, this is Oo too. This is long Oo. And never was He born a child, a boy child. And never was he born a boy child. That's what that means. Never did He father a boy child and never was He born a boy child. So this really clearly says no to the idea that Jesus Christ is one in a trinity of G-ds with G-d. That there are three G-ds in one. This says no, there are no three G-ds in one. There's only one G-d. And all the others are servants of G-d. Jesus Christ, the servant created by G-d like Adam was, our first father. He's created from his mother. Adam was created from the dust, from the ground, from the earth. And the Holy Ghost is not G-d like it is in Christianity. The Holy Ghost is not G-d. The Holy Ghost is a servant too, a Messenger of G-d. G-d has Messengers who are angels and humans. Both angels and humans are Messengers, same as it is in the Bible. But there's one angel that the Christians say is G-d too. But we say no. The Holy Ghost is not G-d. And the Qur'an, G-d says to us by way revelation, the Qur'an to Muhammad and to us. The night of power is better than a thousand months.
The angels descend down in that night, come down in the night. That's the night the Qur'an came down to Muhammad from G-d. And the Holy Spirit. So obeying every command. So G-d commanded them to come down, to descend. G-d commanded these, the angels and the Holy Spirit is commanded by G-d. Obeying every order and peace comes until the rising of the the dawn, until daybreak starts. This is the Qur'an. So here the angel and the angels and also the Holy Spirit is being set down by G-d's command. Amr, meaning G-d commanded that. They following the command of G-d. He did that. He ordered. So they're not G-d. They're followers. They obey His orders. They're servants. And how do we know? Very clear from the teachings of Muhammad that this Holy Ghost is nothing. The Holy Ghost is Jibril. That's who appeared to Mary. Yes, this Bible says this. I'm not teaching, I don't teach you nothing for myself. Everything I give you in religion, it comes from the Qur'an. It comes from scripture or the Bible.
And that's the way you're supposed to preach. If you preach from yourself, you're not preaching right as a Muslim Imam, as a teacher, Islamic teacher. You only can give the people what G-d has revealed and all what Muhammad has said. Then you're preaching right, correctly. Okay, so in this report of Muhammad the Prophet, he says that G-d wanted to show Gabriel., Jibril That's the Holy Spirit. He is the Holy Spirit. He's one and the same in Christian Christianity and in Islam. In Judaism he's only the arch angel. He's not the Holy Spirit. And in Christianity, he's the archangel too, but he's also the Holy Spirit.
He says G-d wanted to show Jibril His creation before and after Satan. Shaitan, the devil, the enemy of man, made changes in it, changed it to have his designs on it and look the way he want it to look to man, to people. And G-d showed it to him. I've told you this story more than once. Many times. G-d showed it to him. And when Jibril saw it, he said, "My G-d, how can anyone go wrong in such a wonderful creation?" Then G-d showed it to him after Satan had made his changes. And Allah tells us what he did. Say he put allurements, that means things to fascinate you and attract you. Decorated it the way he wants things decorated to be appealing to you, but his decorations are not clean and pure and straight like G-d's world was.
His decorations have deceit in it, deceit, tricks and other things to take you off the track, off the track that G-d or off the way that G-d wants you on. So after he had put his allurements on it, G-d showed the world to Adam, I mean to Jibiril, the archangel Jibril. And he said, "My Lord, how can anyone go straight in such a world?" Because it was so deceitful, so crooked, so crooked the way the devil had made it, the way Satan makes it later after G-d creates it. So he says Raabi, what does Raabi mean? It's translated my Lord. It means my Lord. So if G-d is the Lord over Jesus Christ, because Jesus Christ says my Lord too in the gospel, he says my Lord. He says My G-d too.
He says G-d, my G-d. He says my G-d and he says, my Lord. This is how Jesus Christ addresses G-d. So if they address G-d like that, the Holy Ghost in Jesus Christ, it tells us that they recognize G-d as being over them. My Lord means He's over me. I'm not equal to it. The Bible. That's why I was so fed up with Christianity when I was a young Minister for the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. I thought it was the most ridiculous religion ever on earth. That's what I thought. Because to me it was insanity. And I wasn't making fun of it. I really saw it as insanity. I was a student of psychology at the same time when I was learning these things, a young man, teenager in my late teens and I was also studying the Bible. So when I read these things, I could see what we describe, what psychology described as multiple personalities and delusions.
Sickness, mental sickness. Yeah. And here's somebody think he's three in one and one is coming to commit suicide to save the world, kill himself, to save the world. To me, this was mental sickness. Yes, it was, it was terrible mental sickness. So that's the way I saw it. I wasn't raised in the church, so I wasn't raised to respect that. And I was raised to question these things in the Nation of Islam by my father, mother. So I questioned those things and to me it was insanity. Now I understand it, it's beautiful, but you have to translate it. And the language that they give it to you in is insanity. But with the translation, with the correct translation, it's beautiful. It's a beautiful story, beautiful story. And it doesn't mean G-d is really Jesus Christ. It means that Jesus Christ is reflection of G-d. It doesn't mean the Holy Ghost is really G-d, but the Holy Ghost is working as G-d, working as G-d's will.
So this is G-d's will working in the Holy Ghost and the Holy Ghost is working G-d's will in you if the Holy Ghost comes into you. And this is Jesus Christ in the world as a sign pointing to G-d, but he's acting out the word of G-d, showing how the effect of G-d, how G-d's word affected him and made him become the word of G-d. Means he is so obedient to the word of G-d that he is as the word of G-d in the world. But isn't that the same thing Aisha, may G-d be pleased with her, the young wife of Muhammad said of him when they asked her about Muhammad? She said, he is the Qur'an living in the world. The Qur'an is the word of G-d. So she said the same thing about Muhammad. Said you want to really know who he is, he's the Qur'an living in the world.
He obeyed the Qur'an so perfectly that he himself was as the Qur'an. In fact, we got Qur'an from him. We didn't get it from Jibril, he got it from Jibril. We got it from him. So he had it. G-d gave it to him and he lived by it. So he was the Qur'an. So Muhammad really answered the sign of Jesus. Jesus Christ is the word of G-d. Then the Qur'an comes plainly to Muhammad and his wife says, so we will know that he was actually the word of G-d living among us to explain to us what it means by Jesus Christ being the word of G-d. That's all it meant. He was in obedience to G-d's word. But he also was obedient to G-d's spirit and so was Muhammad and all the other true Messengers of G-d. He was obedient to His will, pardon me, and Spirit.
And Jesus Christ is called the Spirit from G-d. And some of the learned in the religion in Islam, they let the Christian preachers, the learned in Christianity, get them in trouble and they don't know how to defend it. Say, but your own Qur'an says that Jesus Christ is a spirit, the Spirit of G-d. And they don't know how to come back. And the Qur'an says He gives everything something of His spirit. And he gave the first man his spirit. He breathed into him His spirit. What Adam G-d? Just because G-d gave him His spirit. And then He says He has given everything something of His spirit. So that mean all of us got something of the spirit. All the living got something of the spirit of G-d in us. He's everywhere.
And if you become obedient to Him, the Spirit and will of G-d will become so powerful in you, you'll be like a Prophet or Messenger of G-d in this life, but you won't be called that. You'll be just a human being. But all human beings are the same. No different. The Qur'an says that. I don't say nothing that is not in the scripture. I wouldn't say it. If it wasn't in the scriptureyou wouldn't hear me say it. Because I thought these things over for years before I talked to you about it. And when I'm completely convinced that I'm in accord with what's written, then I tell other people. I don't say it. If I tell you before that time I say I think, I don't say I know. Never did He father a boy, a baby. "Wa Lam Yulid." And never was he born a boy, a baby.
This is not in Judaism, but a Jew gave this to the Europeans. A Jew of the Middle East gave this to the Europeans. Paul, Apostle Paul gave this to the Europeans. And I have to say Apostle Paul because Peter didn't quite make all this stuff like that. He was a little different. Paul is the one that dwelled on this idea, dwelled on the idea of Jesus Christ being the son of G-d and all that three in one. He dwelled on that idea and gave it to the West, to European people. They didn't have it before. They had no Christianity, they had no Judaism either. And that was before Islam came. So they had no Islam. What did they have? They had paganism. And I was just reading in the paper today that there are new pagans in the world in America and they had a celebration.
Pagans, whites have a religion and they identified themselves as pagans. And they worship the earth, they worship nature and the earth and their pagans. So that's where the Europeans were before Christianity came to them from the Jew. Jew gave them Christianity and they became Christians. But the Jew was a radical. He was not believing the way his Jewish people lived, believed. He was a radical. He was differing with his own Jewish people and introduced something against the Torah or the Old Testament teachings that the Jews never accepted. So this was just a radical Jew did this and this is not Jesus Christ. I said a Jew. Jesus Christ didn't do that. Muslims don't believe Jesus Christ presented this here about three G-ds. We know he didn't. We have to say we know he didn't because G-d revealed to Muhammad that he didn't. So as Muslims, we have to say G-d, Jesus Christ never taught anybody that there was three G-ds and that he was G-d. And look how the Bible has it. Peter was asked by Jesus Christ, this is in the Bible, the gospel.
This is not Arabic class. This is class for youth to become religious teachers, Islamic teachers in schools and whatever. Yes. So Jesus Christ asked, Peace be on him. He asked Peter, he said, who do you say I am? Who do you Peter say I am? So he asked somebody else to say who he was. So Peter's reply was that you are, he gave an explanation and the last of his explanation was the son of man. Jesus Christ gave him the first part of it. He said, who do you say I the son of man am.
This is the Bible language. Who do you say I the son of man am. So Jesus Christ was telling not only Peter but whoever else would hear this or get this, that I acknowledge I'm the son of man. I'm the son of man. But we in Christianity and Islam, we say no, no man fathered him right? But he says he's the son of man. He didn't say, I'm the son of Joseph. That was his father by marriage, by his mother's marriage to Joseph. Joseph was his father. But Joseph didn't have relationship with Mary and Mary didn't conceive of Joseph. She conceived of the Holy Ghost, not of Joseph. So the child was not Joseph's child, not biologically. Biologically the child is not Joseph's child. So he says, who do you say I the son of man am. So he's saying he's a son of man.
How are we understand then what Jesus was saying? The genealogy of Jesus Christ in the same gospel, New Testament, traces Jesus birth back to his mother, back to her parents, and goes back and back and back to Adam, the first man. And it says Adam, and Adam was created by G-d. That's what the Bible says. The gospel. And Adam was created by G-d. So by genealogy, Jesus Christ is the son of man just like we are. Because Adam was the first man. And his lineage is traced back, his line of life, his lineage is traced back through his mother and then to her parents and on and on and on. And reason tell us it has to go back to the first human being on earth. That's called Adam. And he was a man. So Jesus Christ is the son of man. He's the son of Adam just like we are. That's what the Bible is saying. And that's what we know. He's the son of man just like we are. But he's also the spirit that G-d put into Mary. Allah says in Qur'an, he's a spirit that G-d sent to Mary. He's a word and a spirit G-d sent to Mary.
So he's also a spirit from G-d and he's a word from G-d. A word from G-d. I think I've said enough to make you understand it enough right now. Like I said, when you get older in studies, then you'll see another light will come, another level of light will come. It'll be a higher level of light. And you'll see more as the old church people say, you'll know it better by and by. Okay, so let's continue. As Samad, the eternal. Lam Yu Lid. Never did he give birth to a child, a boy child. Wa Lam Yulid. And never was he born a boy child. We had Lam. We don't have to put Wa Lam. See the different H's? This H, this H, and this H, these are all H's, same H. The same H, not a different H. This is how this H is written if you start a word with it. This is how this H is written if it's connecting two letters. And this is how it's written if it comes at the end of a word. Okay. This begins a word like Huwa, he. Also Heya, means she. And this where it comes in the middle.
I highlight this as a word. And that's it in the middle. See here, this is it, connecting these two letters. But there are many other examples. You don't have to worry about this yet. Okay, now I'm going to take this off. Lam goes here. Never was there. Yakun means was there.
