Jumua Fiery Speech Chicago, IL

By Imam W. Deen Mohammed
The sun is a ball of fire, very distant from us, but its invisible energy reaches us and grow the food that we eat and give us the strength, the physical strength that we have. And then in our own make up. There are forces, forces of joy, forces of sadness, forces of intelligence that are working in our lives. And these forces are the real forces that control or dominate our beings. We know that the unseen forces are the strongest in our lives as influences. The man who is young looking, healthy, looking youthful. He can get problems into his life, problems, family problems, job problems, and these problems that are invisible can actually change his physical form, make him begin to look old and weak. Gray his hair.
And what is this worrying? It's not anything that we can see with the eye. We can't even take a microscope and find it. It's something that has no material body. But look what this force does to our material body. So, we have to, as human beings, believe in the force other than physical matter. And human beings have this nature, this is our nature. No one had to come and convince human beings that there are forces that you should respect that are non-material. The most primitive, the youngest of civilization, the youngest of society, the most primitive societies have come to that belief without science, without preachers coming to preach to them. It's just a natural thing for human beings to come into our belief and powers and forces that are above the physical creation. And this is the nature in us that leads us to the correct belief in G-d.
Or to the correct worship of G-d. We began as babies in everything. We began as babies and worldly knowledge and we grow into scientific knowledge. We begin as babies. That is, societies begin as babies in spiritual knowledge, and we grow in spiritual knowledge and science tells us that Almighty G-d has helped fire get where it is today. I remember reading a book by Einstein, some writings on Einstein, pardon me, when Einstein was giving credit to Almighty G-d. I also remember reading a book on the life of the one who invented the penicillin. What's his name? Pasteur, I believe. Isn't it? Yes. And he was telling how he felt G-d's presence in his experiment and how G-d made possible his great success. And we know as Muslims that many great scientists came up in Islam and they were not only men who discovered G-d working in their experiments, but they were men who were motivated to become scientists by Islam.
So, we see evidence of G-d's working in science and evidence of G-d's working in the human, ordinary human life. And this evidence is convincing proof to us that Almighty G-d exists. We don't have to see Him as we see each other. In fact, if we come into the right understanding, the way we see each other in our hearts is not the way we see each other with our eyes. The way we see each other with our hearts is the real thing. The way we see each other with our eyes is not the real thing. So Almighty G-d wants us to be aware of little things that are happening all about us in the skies and the earth and the activity that goes on between sky and earth. If we would just think on these things, we will get renewed faith. We will get faith.
We'll become faithful people. We'll have faith. We will know that G-d exists and we'll know that He has the power to do whatever He wills because everything as the Quran says, "Everything in the heavens and everything in the earth bears witness to the existence of Almighty G-d Most high." Everything. So, if we had the interest and the time to really look and examine what is going on about us in the sky and on earth and everywhere we would see plain signs of G-d and His presence and His great wonders, His great gifts, His great generosity to man. Almighty G-d has made the whole heavens and earth, and everything that exists, yourself and everything that exists, to give off a kind of message, to give off impulses and a kind of pulsation, pardon me, a kind of pulsation. And this pulsation carries thoughts to your mind.
Thoughts to your mind. Now if we had nothing to listen to but G-d's creation, we wouldn't go wrong. But when man comes into the picture and begins to stray from G-d's creation and come up with his own ideas of what the environment should be like, then his environment begin to influence us and we get the same pulsation from his environment. So, what we have as trouble in our lives comes from bad pulsations. The pulsations that's made by man, not by Almighty G-d. So, when we come out of the house in the streets, we see man's creation. We look at the billboards, we see what man is suggesting to our minds. And this man is not a man that fears G-d. This is a man that fears poverty. He wants the billboard to bring us to his store or to the store where his product is sold, you see.
And when we wake up in the morning, we turn on the TV, and we get the pulsations from the TV. These are not the pulsations from Almighty G-d's creation. These are pulsations from this man who wants you to buy the product that he has for sale at some store. You, see? So, what we have is a world that has become so filled now with pulsations from man, materialistic man, weak man that we have to battle for our lives to survive harder than the village man has to battle in the wild jungle, you see. Our world is more filled with enemy forces, forces that are designed to hurt our good nature than the forces of the jungles then the jungles were ever filled with forces of violence or forces of wild creatures against men. We could go right now to the jungles and in a little time we could establish a peaceful, healthy, loving society for ourselves. But look how hard it is to establish that society in the modern world. It is because the modern world is more corrupt, more fraught with evils and dangers to human life than jungles ever was. So, people let us remember that we live in very, very difficult times, that our world places on us a burden heavier than that was placed on any people before our time. Because our world is bigger now. It is more filled with the foolishness of sinner minds, not righteous people's minds. People who sin, they have filled our world with foolish suggestions, silly suggestions. They'll do anything to keep us as a resource camp for them. Whenever they want to resupply themselves, they just increase their production in our fields.
And they've used us just like people use an experimentation, a field for experimentation. They use us just as people use a field to grow them food. They see the people as a material resource field. You have to understand, and nothing can save us but Allah's truth. Nothing can save us but Islam because the other religions that exist, those religions have been exploited. They have been exploited and turned into tools to aid the exploitation of human beings, you see. You say, "Oh have Christianity been made a tool of exploitation." Yes it has. Certainly it has. Those people are not as careful as we are about preserving the purity of their religion.
In fact, they encourage people to experiment with their religion. They encourage people to experiment with their scripture. If any Muslim would begin experimenting with the Qur'an, oh, his life would be in danger. Because Muslims will kill him for that. But in the Christian society, any Christian can just take up the scriptures of the Bible and play with them, experiment with them, and the people will be looking at him with anticipation, anticipating that this man may come up with a better religion. So, their mind, their people of this world are people who like experimentation in their religion and they hope that somebody will come up with a better religion. Catholicism, Protestantism, and whatever you come up with, they hope that maybe something will come up better. And what are they looking for? Something that gives them more freedom to do as they please. But this kind of mind is not acceptable in Islam. We can't experiment with our religion to come up with something that pleases us better. We have to accept what G-d has given us and then make our lives conform to that. G-d won't allow us to fit our religion to our own desires. We must fit our desires to our religion. And that's the difference between Muslim minds and non Muslim minds.
All Praise is due to Allah. Never doubt that All Mighty Allah is ever present, ever present. He's as close to you, the Qur'an says to Prophet Muhammad, and for every believer, as your jugular vein. The jugular vein is inside your body and it carries blood to the head. And if someone cut the jugular vein, there's no more food going to the brain. So, Allah is as close to you as that source that feeds your brain. In fact, He is the source that feeds your brain. And if you just turn off the foolishness of this world and apply your good senses and listen to Allah, listen to the Qur'an, follow Muhammad, you'll gain your life again. You'll get your life again and you'll get your good senses again. Allahu Akbar.
Bismillah Ar Rahma Nir Raheem. We pray Allah, Peace and blessings be upon Prophet Muhammad the last and Universal Messenger. We pray Allah's Peace and blessings be upon his descendants, on the followers, on the servants, the righteous servants, all of them.
We pray that Allah increase the faith of this new community that is rising in America and increase our desire for knowledge, for Islamic knowledge. Increase our desire for obedience in our lives. Because what we have today in this world is a lack of appreciation for obedience. The homes are destroyed because there's no more value placed on obedience. Children don't have to obey parents. Wife doesn't have to obey a husband. In fact, they're shocked when some husbands say, "You don't obey me." Say "What in the heck are you, who are you to obey? Say "You don't obey me." That's what they say, you see? Say "Girl, you don't obey me." "Boy, you don't obey me." You see? So we don't have any respect for obedience anymore. I remember in America, I am an American, I was born here. I wasn't born on the moon. I was born here, born in Detroit, Michigan, raised up from a little child, less than 1-year-old in Chicago, been in Chicago for 43 years almost. And I've lived with our people, I've lived with American people. And I remember when I was a child that wives had some respect for husbands. I've heard women say, "Well, I have to ask my husband." How often do you hear women say today, "I have to ask my husband?"
Even two roomers just living together somewhere. They have more respect for each other than most of these husband and wives have for each other. You see roomers live together. Say, look, I think I'm going to buy a new lamp. What do you think about it partner? Well, you think we need a new lamp in this room? Yeah, well, who's going to pay for it? They begin to discuss it, right? They begin to discuss it. But the husband, he goes in and come out, no communication with the wife, no discussion. The wife goes in, goes in and out, no communication, no discussion. He buys beans, rice, hot dogs, piece of fruit, her favorite cake or pie. She didn't ask what was your favorite cake or pie. You go out and come in with your TV dinner, you didn't ask if she would like to have a TV dinner. You, see? It is living like we have no relationship with each other. So, it's a loss of relationships. Relationships are not counted of value anymore. So, Muslims can't live like this. Allah did not send Muhammad to tell us, I come to destroy relationships. I come to set father against mother, mother against daughter. That's the Christian Bible teaching, not Islam. Islam comes to unite the family, unite the community, you see. And Islam teaches us that even if our parents disbelieve in Islam, we shouldn't cut off the relationship.
Says bear patiently with them in this life. That's what the Qur'an teaches us. Bear patiently with them. Says, never say so much to your parents as fooun, Fooun. No. Says, "Lower the wing of humility to them." Have you ever been in the country? When I was a child you could see it in the city. The chickens. How the mother chicken, when she hears something that she think might threaten her little babies. Or when the sun is coming up or when she sees her little chicks won't cover, how she open up her wings and let them come under and she lower her wings down and just cover them up. Cover them up from view. You don't see them, they're up under their wings. You see. Well Allah in the Qur'an tells us to open our wings up, open our wings up to our parents when they're at old age and let them come under our wings of protection.
You see, this is what the Qur'an tells us and when you get to be big and grown, even if they don't agree with you, never say so much to them as foo on you. You, see? So, we need Islam in order to survive today. Nothing can make us survive. Nothing can keep us on this earth as human beings. We can stay on the earth, but we are going to be something less than human beings. We are going to be something less than animals if we don't get Islam into our lives. Now as Muslims, we have to be sensible beings. Islam didn't come to us to spook us up and to make us think that life can be lived without sense, can be lived without intelligence. The Qur'an, when G-d speaks, He's addressing our moral nature. He's addressing our spiritual nature and more than any other thing, He's addressing our intelligence more than He's addressing anything else.
The appeal to the thinking man. The Qur'an says, "Oh thinking man," "Oh rational man." Oh, observant people," people who observe, people who give thought to things, people who have senses. Isn't that, right? This is the Holy Qur'an, it appeals to the mind, the brain. Those who use their brain. Is that right? It appeals to the Ahjirun. Those who use their brain. But the Holy Qur'an is not a body of knowledge that just wants to excite you spiritually or excite your emotions. It wants to excite life, to provoke life, intelligent life in your makeup, so that you'll be able to use the best of yourself. The strongest part of yourself. What is the strongest part of the man? Is it his spirit? No, the spirit is the strongest part of man for destruction.
But there is something stronger in man for salvation. "Oh, I believe the spirit is the strongest for salvation." Spirit without intelligence is nothing but forces for destruction. Intelligence must lead spirit. Do you think G-d is G-d because He's some emotional existence? No, He's G-d because He's just, He's wise. He's the highest in knowledge. He embodies all knowledge. He has all the knowledge. The book says He's a light, knowledge, truth, you understand? So, if G-d was only spirit, emotionalism or emotion, He wouldn't be light, He'd be darkness. What light can we find in spirit, unless that spirit is lit with knowledge. But as Muslims we have to keep our minds open. We have to keep our senses alive. We have to realize that G-d has evolved life from stage up to stage.
He evolved it from matter, physical matter. This we are told by the Bible, by the Holy Qur'an, but the Holy Qur'an is more complete. G-d has completed and perfected His knowledge for us in the Holy Qur'an. The Bible says, man is made from clay. I'm not going to hold you too long, but I just want you to see something. Says a man is made from clay. G-d revealed to Prophet Muhammad to say, yes, the man was made from clay, but also sounding clay. What do we mean by sounding clay? When you hit soft clay, it makes no sound, it gives you nothing back, you see. It just receives what you gave it. You hit soft clay, it receives indentation, but you strike hard clay, it gives you back a sound. Is that right? So, man is not only impressionable, but he's also capable of expression.
And just like in our human nature, we have received the indentation, the imprint from our society, from our elders, from our parents, from those before us. And from the people in the society. Likewise, we are also capable of giving back, of expressing ourselves. So, we as leaders, we are not only responsible to make the correct indentation in the human being, put the correct imprint or make the correct impression in the human being, but we are also responsible for what comes back to us from the human being. Is that right? So, Allah, in the Holy Qur'an, instructing Prophet Muhammad, revealed to him that the human being is not just the nature of a soft clay, but he is also in the nature of hard clay that when you strike it, it gives you back a sound. So, he's capable also of expression. So, we should see human beings as responsible creatures, responsible creatures, not just babies. The message of the Old Testament and the New Testament is that people are babies. But the Holy Qur'an is telling us yes, they are babies from the beginning, but they move on up and become responsible for themselves.
They don't only receive imprints, but they give off expression. Is that right? Sounding clay Then if we understand it, that man is a growing life, growing up from inferior stages to higher stages. We can look at our world and examine it and see are we growing up? Are we growing down? Are we growing up? Are we growing down? What is the nature of our makeup today? The nature of the makeup of modern society is emotionalism. The dominant force in our lives today is emotionalism. What does G-d say? He says that He made us in stages of development. In our early stages, the emotional nature is more dominant. The baby is more emotional. Cries, laugh, smile, right? The baby is more emotional. But the more we grow up, the more we move out of that fear into a high sphere. When we come in a higher sphere, no longer do those things dominate us that dominate us yesterday. New and higher and greater power begin to dominate us. So, when we grow up from the baby life, then reason begin to dominate us. We begin to be controlled and dominated by human reasons, by good senses. Is that right?
Even when the President appeals to the community, does he appeal to the good senses of the community? I want you to observe what is going on today in this world? Does the President appeal to our good senses? When he talks to his peers, people on his level in governance, he talked to them as though they have rational power. But when the President talked to the common masses, he appeals to our emotional makeup because he knows that the life of the masses in the Western world is not a rational life, but emotional life. He know it's hopeless if he tried to appeal to the good senses of the society. This is a longer process. He'll have to talk for two hours to reach us.
That's what he should do. The time is now such that we have to force responses from human intelligence. You, see? But the easy way is the habit. The easy way becomes a habit. You see, so the President, he speak to us like the Bible speaks to us, "You little children, my little children." You, see? This is the way the Bible speaks to us, "My little children." And the President, when he speak to us, "I'm going to do more about human rights." What is human rights? It's an emotionally loaded, emotional packed expression. It is packed with emotions.
He doesn't go enlist, analyze, or break down for us what he means by human rights. He does that with his peers. But when he's speaking to the masses, he just says, "I'm interested in human rights and I'm interested in the morals of our country." What does the morals of our country mean to the masses? It means Nixon was wrong. That's what it means. It means Nixon was wrong, but it doesn't mean I'm wrong. When the President says to the masses, he's going to do something about the morals of the country, we think he means he's going to be a better President than Nixon. Crooks are not going to get by with him as they did with the previous administration. But we don't think that the President wants us to realize that our moral makeup is in trouble, that my own moral life is in trouble.
No, if he does this, he's going to awaken my good senses. If he starts telling me my own moral makeup is in trouble, he's going to awaken my good senses. Cause I'm going to start to look into my own life. Where is the trouble in my moral makeup? And I can't look at it with any emotional mind. I have to look at it with senses. I have to find out what's wrong in my emotional makeup with the eye of intelligence. Is that right? Good people, good people And I know you are good people. If you weren't good people, you wouldn't be here. Look, let's accept Islam. Let's live Muslim lives. Let's depend on our good senses. Almighty G-d has not put good senses in our head at the top of our body for nothing. He could have put the sense in your toes. Your thinking and your eyes and your ears could have been in your feet. No, He put it in the top, in the top of the structure. In the top of the structure. He put eyes and ears and a mouth and senses, a brain. Is that right? So, if G-d has put my brain up here and didn't put it in here somewhere or down there somewhere, that is enough proof, physical proof for me to let me know that I'm supposed to dominate this being, I'm supposed to hold this life, not with emotions, not with sentiments, but with good senses.
Look. We have to begin to be strong and responsible. Do you know what happened in here last week? A brother pulled up the coat of another brother, went in his back pocket, thought he was going to get some money. You know what happened a few weeks ago? Somebody went in a sister's purse, took 40 something dollars. Who are these people there doing that? They are people from a Christian life, people who have been brought up by Christians. And Christians didn't teach them the weight of that sin. They take it lightly, they take these things lightly. "Ah you know, a place like this just attracts people like that." They see you all wrapped up in your prayers, bending down with your back pockets exposed. That ain't nothing. I expect something like that to happen. I don't expect it to happen. I expect that a Christian, I don't care if you've never been to church, if you only just grew up in the America, never heard a word from the Bible except over radio or from people passing the streets. I expect that there's enough Christianity in the air over America to make people act more decent than that. Come into a prayer place and then go in the pocket of a man who's at prayer. Go in the purse of a woman who comes to pray to G-d and take her belongings.
Lemme tell you something, G-d is with this place. Allah is with this place. And you asking for more trouble in your life than you ever can bear when you come in here and do wrong against people who come in this place. If I catch you, you are in trouble.
I'm telling you they won't bring it to me because they know I'll chop your head off. If they bring you to me, I'm going to chop your head off. If I don't have a knife to chop it off, I'll get have a flag pole there and break your fingers and break your hand. And I'm not joking, I'm not joking. If they ever bring one of you to me, I'm going to give you a lesson. If I have to go and do 10 years, if I have to be killed, I don't care. I'm going give you lesson that will last for a long time. Look, we are not talking to hear ourselves talk. Don't be like these people of this world, who come together to discuss serious business, to discuss problems that our very life depends on. Problems that really are at the very heart of our life. And they get on TV and discuss them like they having a tea party. Just as relaxed. "Well, Mr. Young, Jimmy Young, Mr. So and so, he said such and such about the race problems in America. And Mr. So-and-so, he disagreed with him. Well, you can look at it either way." Just light conversation. "You can look at it either way. And some think we ought to use this approach, we ought to handle it this way. And others think that maybe a different approach should be used. Well, how's the weather in California today?"
Just that quick they can get off of the serious question of our survival to "How's the weather in California today? How old is that poll you brought here on the show last week?" These people, there's nothing but theatrics. Theatrics. You don't get on the radio somewhere and talk about the serious problem of human survival just like it's nothing but theatrics. One trying to show that he can point out more of the symptom than others, or one trying to show that he can more accurately describe the symptom then the next one can. "Well, the problem here is that we have too many bigots. The bigots have us. We given our world to the bigots." And another one he would jump right in and show that he can point to a symptom. He said, "Well I think the problem is that welfare needs to be broadened. Welfare is not big enough to take care of our problem." And another one, he rush in and jump in with some other suggestions and say, "Well uh, I think if we just let the Democrats come up with their program, come up with a program for us and work it because the Democrats have always proven to be more interested in the little people than anybody else. I think Mr. So-and-so, we just back him." Some people just talking.
And when the discussion is over they just relaxing, smiling instead of saying, "Alright, we have ended our discussion. Let every man get back to his job. Let every man go out and do what we have decided that we must do. No, don't go out and do nothing. We'll see your next talk show."
Get ready for the next drama. That right? Yeah, this is the attitude. So, who's going to do something about this life? Who's going do something about the condition of life if we don't take responsibility ourselves into our hands and do something about our life? Don't you know a Muslim is a man and woman who accepts responsibility. Don't you know a Muslim accepts responsibility for the children? You can't be a Muslim and see your children going wild and crazy in your house and not fighting like hell to keep it from happening. If you just take it easy and let these things happen, you are failing your Islam, you are failing your Muslim life. You are throwing your Muslim life under the rug somewhere. You are hiding your truth. You are hiding your Islam, you're hiding your very self from your children. No you have to stand up or some of these children will kill you. I'm willing to die to save my children. You're not willing to die to save your children. I'm willing to die to save my children. I'm not going to let my children do anything. I got a big girl teenager, she gets upset sometimes. This world have made her so crazy. She's emotionally upset all the time, half the time. But I let her go only so far. When I see her getting too far, I risk even sending her to a mental institution.
I say, "Look girl, you've gone far enough. You've gone far enough now. Now you do such and such, or daddy going to show you he's daddy or the stick. Or you going to have to get out of here. If you get out of here, you might not like the next place. This might be juvenile hall." You see, you have to protect your children and you can't let your children just spend all day long watching TV, playing records. You're not a Muslim if you do that. Don't you know that you are responsible for your children using that time healthily? Is it healthy to use that time all day watching TV shows? No. You responsible to see that that child give time to clean himself up, give time to put some sense in his head. Give time to thinking on G-d. It's your duty to do that. Give time to do the things that you assigned to him or her in that house. "Oh, my child don't want do anything in the house." That's your child. Don't tell us your child won't do anything in the house. Make your child do something in the house. And if your child don't do nothing in the house, whip your child. If your child is too big to whip and won't conform, you tell that child to get the hell out of your house. That's your house.
This old crazy world have messed up our children, if they're not going to obey us and come up healthy children, then let us give them back to the world that messed them up. Tell them to go out, get out in the streets. And if we send enough of them to jail, to juvenile homes, to jail and to hospital, then the President will do something about the real problem. And the real problem is down here on Earth, there not up there in the White House. Dear beloved people, let us take charge of our lives. Let us take charge of our lives. Let us stop doing these shameful things. And people, believers, when you see a believer doing something that you know is terribly shameful for a believer to do, make a distinction between them, separate them. Don't treat that person like he's a good Muslim. I'm not supposed to treat you like you a good Muslim. If I know you steal, I know you'll hurt innocent Muslim. I know you will rob an innocent believer. I know you'll come the Mosque and steal from an innocent believer. Don't you know I'm not supposed to treat you like you a Muslim? I'm supposed to treat you like what you are.
I'm supposed to show you my resentment. I'm supposed to show you I don't like what you're doing. I'm supposed to tell you that you are a disgrace to the name Muslim. That's what I'm supposed to tell you. We have to start doing that. See a sister walking out in the street displaying her private parts to the public. Don't treat that sister like she's on the level of that sister who lives up to the laws of Islam No. Treat that sister like what she is. That sister is a problem. Treat her like a problem. Say "Sister, don't you know you disgrace the name when you go around here showing the print of your butt to the public, showing the print of your buttocks to the public." "Oh, the Chief say we can wear what we want to wear." You lie. I never said that. I said that you don't have to wear a uniform. That's what I said. I said we should look for uniformity as Muslims. We should have uniformity in our lives as Muslims and not put so much importance on a physical uniform. That's what I said. But I said Muslims should dress modestly. Muslims must dress decently. That's what I said. I said pants are all right to wear if they don't reveal your figure.

But if pants reveal your figure, then pants are not alright. I don't have to tell you these things. Most of you have the good senses to know that if you go out here revealing the print of your naked body, wearing clothes showing your print, that you are going to incite lust in ignorant men and in ignorant boys. You know yourself you committing a sin. You didn't have to come to this place to learn that. In Christianity you knew that was wrong although it was allowed and most of the Christians just laughed over. You know in yourself it wasn't right. So don't come here and think that you're putting something over. Sister, if you want to be good Muslims, if you want to protect your own self-respect. Relationships, husband and wife relationships has been getting worse and worse. Divorces have been on the upswing. More divorces and more divorces. Got men now that don't want no marriage unless he perform it. They don't want to be obligated or tied to any court. Who made the world like that? Sister you partially responsible for it. If you present yourself or display yourself as though you are nothing but a sex appeal object, you are going to be treated as though you are nothing but a sex appeal object.
But if you stop showing your sex and start showing more of your moral decency, you'll find men and I mean good men, moral men. Faithful men will start desiring you as a wife. A man might want a harlot or street woman to let off some of his frustration, to release some pressure. But he want a wife as a mother for his children. If you want to start getting men that won't desert you, then I'll tell you what to do. Be more moral. Don't depend on your sex appeal to get you a husband. I don't care how powerful you think your sex appeal is. The more powerful it is, the more you ought to hide it. Because what's that going to do? It's going to attract the dog. That's what it's going to do. You want to attract a husband? You want to attract someone that's going to stay with you when your face begin to look older. That's not going to walk out and leave you with nine babies or five babies or three babies when the sex appeal begin to die down? Stop attracting with your physical part. Look in the animal world. Do you find animals attracting each other with that physical part? G-d has covered up the physical parts of animals that fits the under belly under them. But when the dog approach another dog, he looks in the face of a dog.
When we approach these human dogs, we look at titties. Excuse the language. But that's what we look at. The first thing with us, you walk behind a dog, what do you see? A tail. You walk up behind some of these so called civilized women, what do you see? A tail magnified. Not a tail that covers but a tail that exposes. So, you want get your life, you want to get your life back in your hands. You want to get good men, men that won't desert you? Sister, whatever you got as a physical attraction, cover it up around the men and let that man communicate with you like an intelligent human being should. I'm not supposed to communicate with a woman through her breasts or through her hips. I'm supposed to communicate with that woman through mind. I can't see what's in that sister's mind if she's going to blind me with other things. Is that right? Alright, so sister, if you get your mind straight, the man will talk to you. Really, he shouldn't be talking to you. Your brother should be talking to him, or your father should be talking to him. Somebody else should be talking to him for you, telling him about you. And somebody be talking to you for him.
"Oh, I don't want to get something that I don't know what it is." What are you talking about? You don't want to get no meat that you haven't examined. Are you going to live forever with that meat? That meat ain't gonna stay the same. Look, if you want to get happiness back in your life, live Islam as you should. Let us be selfless people. Let us make a model society right here. We have the strength, we have the strength to do it. We have proven by the path that we have walked over and by the extent of improvement in our own lives, from what we were two years ago, 10 years ago or 40 years ago, we have proven by own strength, we have proven that we are exceptional people in America.
We got the strength to be a model Muslim society in this country. Don't you know our women got the strength to go back and wear the same decent clothes that the Honorable Elijah Muhammad put on them? Don't you know that even those women who never obeyed got the strength to obey. We're the strongest people in this society We got the strength. Our young teenage girls they got the strength. If we would only set example. If the grown ups would only show that we want this bad enough, our young teenagers will start covering themselves up. We got the strength to set the best example in this world right here.
You know what that will do for America? That will change the whole America. In time it will change the whole America. It's not going to come unless we make sacrifices. It's not going to come unless we get our good senses back. We have to do what it's right to do. Brother and sister, let us realize that on us is heavy responsibility. The more we know, the more responsibility is on us. Allah will demand more of us because we know more. Do you understand? Those that know less, Allah demand less from them. But those that know more, Allah demand more from them. And if you don't give it, you're going to suffer the consequences of everything if you don't give. You suffer the consequences for not giving it. Let us wake up. How many sisters in here are going live better lives and more decent lives and going to appeal to men with intelligence instead of with their sex appeal? All Praise is due to Allah. We are going to rise up above the animals. This world has turned into a society of deranged animals and we're going to rise above it. How many men we now have here that's going from this day on to let women know that they don't want to relate to them on a sex level, but on an intelligence level? All Praise is due to Allah.
Do we live the sex act all day long? We live the sex act for a certain portion of the day. And when a big portion of the day is left, we have to live on. So, since we can't live that act all day long, let us not use that act as though it can be lived all day long. Alright? Okay, let us make it a temporary thing. Let us put it in its place, In the daily order of life. This world is designed to make the minds of the people fall down as a slave to sex powers.
The TV, everything. They can't sell a car without a woman's taking her back beside the car. Whatever they give you, it's got a sex message in it. And this certain man who has done a book, he tells us that even the thing when you don't see the sex that most likely it's there, in a subliminal form, it's invisible. Your mind catch it, but it's so fast your eye can't catch it. See what they do? They study the nature, the scientific makeup of the human being, and then they plan how to invade the privacy of that individual and capture his life without him seeing them. They tell you in science that your eye can only catch a moving object as long as it's moving at a certain rate. When it goes above that rate, your eye can't catch it. So, if I flick my finger real fast after a while you can't see my finger, you see a line. Is that right? And I forget the fraction of a second, but I think it's around 1/11th or something like that of a second. If it moves less than that speed, you can't see it. But your mind get it.
You didn't catch the visible awareness of it. It was not strong enough to give you a physical picture, but it was strong enough to make a picture on your mind. So, what happened? They flash it real fast on TV or they put it so subtly in the picture, your eye never detect what it was, but it reached your mind. How can you defend yourself against this invasion? The only way to defend yourself against this invasion- and don't think they're not destroying you. You think all those coats and shoes in your closet was done by you. You think "I did this." You didn't do that. They did that. Let any sensible person come in your house and examine what is in your house and weigh what is in your house. And then measure it with your means, with your income. He'll tell you, "Your house is managed like a crazy person is in here. So here you are. You can't pay the car note, you can't pay the hospital bill. You can't put money in the bank for the child schooling next year. It is because all of your money is in the closet. You got your savings, your insurance money, the money that can send your kids to college. And all the money that you need to improve your life, you got it in the closet. You got it downstairs in the playroom. Your children got an old, worn down broken up toy shop down there in the playroom you see. They got children, they got toys for the children in the neighborhood. They supply the children in the neighborhood with the toys that are piled up in the basement. You, see? And we go and we look on the shelf. You got dishes like you expecting a banquet and there's only two or three people in the house, five people in the house, but you got dishes and cups and things.
You run out of them, you pile them all up in the sink. They run all over the sink. Then you go and you pull off those that are just art pieces on the wall and you drink and eat out of those. All your energy is taken up by overcrowding your life. This stress on your life takes all your energy. So, you can't wash dishes until there's no more dishes to eat out of. So, you go and pull an art piece off the wall. And that's dirtying the sink, right? Yeah. You pull a wooden bowl off the wall that you bought to be an art piece and you put some soup in it and you from eat that because all the dishes are dirty. How many dishes? Three dozen. Three dozen dishes. How many people in the house? Five. Three dozen dishes are dirty.
Thirty six dishes dirty. 36 sets of silverware dirty. How many pants dirty this week? 50 pairs of pants dirty this week. How many people in the house? Five. This is insanity. Do you know how this insanity has come into your life? Through the invisible invasion that reaches you over TV, over radio, in the language that we have adopted from these silly people. All of these evil forces are infiltrating your life and just directing you like senseless person, a brainless creature to do things that just make the society richer and you just become hooked up in the grip of poverty. But money is coming into your house. Your husband work two jobs, you work one. Three big checks coming into the house, but here the man is knocking on the door and you pretending you ain't home. Pitiful. What does he want? He wants the note on the TV, or the note on the washer. Or the note on the car. That's all he wants. Nothing but Islam is going to save us. Noting but Islam. Islam connects you back with your senses and teach you to build your life up modest and sensible from the ground to the top of your head, from the lowest level in the society to the highest level. This is what Islam teaches us. It teaches us that nature is a natural process. Life is a natural process. That science cannot be separated from human life. That a certain amount of science must be in human activities. That's what Islam teaches us.
We can save ourselves, but it's going to take a real powerful burst of energy, determination. You are going to have to grab yourself forcibly. Don't do it weak. You can't do this walking up weak and slow and gradual like, "Well, I'll do this today and that tomorrow." No. You got to snatch yourself in the collar and grab yourself like that and say, "Godamnit, you not going to disgrace me anymore. You are not going to disgrace me at all." Now, I might go to sleep tonight and wake up in the morning and maybe I'll pass Wallace by. He'll put something over me this morning. But the moment it strike my mind again that Wallace is taking me down, I'm going to grab him again in the collar and shake the hell out if him if I have to. I'll take an axe, bust the TV up. My life is more important to me than a color TV. If it cost a thousand dollars, I'll take an axe, bust it up before I let it tear me down from my Muslim stature. As Salaam Alaikum. Allahu Akbar.
