Pharoah in Egypt

By Imam W. Deen Mohammed
Dear beloved Muslims, people, brothers and sisters, Peace be unto you, as we say in the religion of Al-Islam, As Salaam Alaikum.
Praises be to Allah. Alhamduillah. Asamawati Fil Ard. All Praise is due to Allah, the Originator of the heavens and the earth.
Ashadu An La Ilaha Il Allah. Wa Ashadu And Muhammadan Rasul Allah. I bear witness that nothing is worthy of worship except the One Allah, the One and only G-d, there is nothing likened to Him, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger. Before going into our talk this afternoon, I want to read two verses from Qur'an. From the Chapter called, Al Mu'minun, The Believers.
Beginning with the first verses of this chapter. Audhu Bilahi Mina Shaitan Arajeem. And I seek refuge with Allah from Satan, the enemy, the cursed. Bismillah Ar Rahma Nir Raheem. With the Name of G-d, the Merciful Benefactor, the Merciful Redeemer.
"The believers are assured success. Those who are constant, those who are humble in their prayers, those who avoid empty talk or foolishness, those who spend Zakat and those who guard their chastity, and engage not in sex except with those to whom they are lawfully married, those who are guardians of those in their charge. For surely in that case, there is no blame on them."
Here in these first few verses, the Almighty has assured the believer's success. Al Mu'minum refers to those who are firmly grounded in faith. We coin the common term, Muslim, that refers to all of us who say "La Ilaha Il Allah, Muhammadan Rasul Allah". But those who are of the Mu'minum, they are the ones who are grounded in faith. Those who, in their prayers, are humble. They feel small, they feel small in the presence of Allah. And they are conscious of their defects and deficiencies in the presence of Allah. And we can go on talking about this word Kaifyun. If a young girl, a young boy, does something unbecoming for them in the presence of their parents or the presence of grown ups, and they feel shyness or feel fear. That's "Kaifyun". That's what it is. It's a natural tendency in a human being to feel ashamed.
Because of their defects or deficiency or bad manner. The Muslim, when he stands in prayer, praying to Allah, he feels this shyness. Shyness. We are shy before Allah. Shyness is a quality of persons who feel weak before those that cause them to be shy. They feel, something lacking in them, they feel inadequate in some sense. So the believer in his prayer, he feels inadequate. He feels that he's lacking something. He wants to be more presentable, because he comes to Allah with his human weaknesses and with his strength and he wish that he could be even better than he is.
He wish that he could present himself better before G-d. So, because you have some defects, or committed some sin yesterday, or sometime. He's conscious of his infirmities. So, he stands before G-d with a silence, humble, meek, feeling a bit of pain. This is the quality of those who pray the correct prayer. Now there are those who just go through the show of prayer, and they feel nothing. They just recite something. They're not conscious of anything. They're just taking the form. They just fall into form, you see, and they go through the formality, but they are conscious, they're heart, they're mind is not in what they're saying and what they're doing. So let us be aware of that because many of us who are like that can be saved. All we have to do is realize that that's not proper, for a believer to pray to Allah, and be so independent while he's praying. To be such a big shot, so big headed while he's praying.
The Muslim is humble in his prayer to G-d and he realizes that he's small in the presence of G-d. Alhamduillahi Raabil Al Amin. That means, All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all the Worlds. Those who avoid empty vain talks, foolishness. Muslims must be allowed this because, we have been given the stage, the Bilalian people, the African American people, we are given the stage. The whole world welcome us to the stage. No Bilalian has to fight the world to get on the stage.
The whole world thinks the Bilalian belongs on stage. We might have to fight for a piece of the economy, for a piece of the decision making, but we don't have to fight for the stage. If they're setting up the stage for acting, of a play, of a music, of a singing, of a joke, or for playing the dozens or whatever. And if any of us walk up, no one will question our right to be on stage. So, we want to be aware of this habit that the world has gotten us in. The habit of giving ourselves to emptiness and foolishness. Idle talk. Senseless indulgence. We want to be aware of that and obey Allah and stay out of foolishness that has no good end.
Foolishness that aims at nothing but just more foolishness. "And they are those who are givers of Charity." "And they obey G-d by guarding their chastity".
In this society, our little children are made to believe, that what they do sexually is their own business. This world has taken the mind of our children away from the disciplines of religion and away from the authority of the parents. Now we who ar grown up, you still remember that man became strong because he had a sense of order and respect for the wombs in his life. We shouldn't allow our youngsters to see us going out there playing with every woman that's not our wife. We should remember, it's not for our sake, for their sake that somebody has to set an example and obey Allah and don't indulge in sex, except with those you are lawfully wedded to.
It says "Or those in your right hand, who are under your right hand." That means, those that are in your charge. Now how are we to understand this? We have to understand this in the context of history. In the days of Prophet Muhammad, Peace and blessing be upon him, the Muslims were persecuted, driven out of their homes. They were constantly always in battle, with people who wanted to stamp out the light of faith. And because of that, many of their men were lost in war and there were many women without husbands. But there was an immediate condition allowed to check this. Men were allowed to have as many as four wives. And a man, if he couldn't find a wife from among the believing women who were free, then he could take a wife from those that his right hand possessed.
Meaning those captive women who were captured from the enemy's side, who were in the charge of a respected Muslim. And they had shown some inclination towards the faith. These captives had shown an inclination towards the faith. Though they weren't free women, they were Muslim women and they had shown a liking for the faith. So that man who possessed them, as a trustee, or as a guardian or supervisor over them, he could marry any one of them. So let us not think that this means that anyone you hire can become your wife. "Ah brother, she works in my business and I'm her only means of support, so she's under my right hand. And that's how come I'm having sex with her brother, because the Qur'an says, I can have sex with the woman who's under my right hand". Well, that's not right over here, buddy.
Now, with that out of the way, let's go to something else. Muslim. Our religion is the old religion! Our religion goes back, beyond Jesus. Back further than Jesus, further than Moses. Our religion goes back to Abraham and further. It wasn't Abraham who began the religion of Al-Islam. It was in Abraham that it was made properly Islam, or Al-Islam. Not that he started it. But in his mission, it's received the name, the proper name, Al-Islam.
Now, we will have Muslims. First. we understand that our religion is not a religion that began with Abraham. Then we have to accept that this religion is the religion of Adam. And Adam is created of the earth. And if Adam is created of the earth. And before Adam, there was only earth and matter around, and some matter is taken when Adam is created out of that matter. Then if Adam has Islamic or Muslim characteristics, both characteristics must have been in the matter. So, you can see, this is a really, really old religion.
And if you hear a Muslim Imam saying "As Salaam Alaikum brother Muslim sun. As Salaam Alaikum brother Muslim moon." "As Salaam Alaikum brother Muslim, greeting the heavens. "As Salaam Alaikum Muslim Earth." Don't think he's crazy. Because he has been led to understand that those bodies in the sky and this one down here and everything that Allah made is Muslim. And we can read that when He was about to create all of this, He invited some part of His creation to accept a job opening. And the description of this job is that this particular person that accepts this responsibility must serve G-d as His officer, Chief officer, to see that what He created continue to operate and serve the ends that He created it for.
So, he offered this job to the Angel, and they stepped back. It's too much for them. Say man came rushing up. Yes! Yes Allah, here I am. And Allah looked at the man-"Surely man is created in haste".
Say "He's inclined to be fool hearted, but since he's the one that came up and said he accepts the job, I have to be just." So, He said, "You got it buddy". So, He gave it to man. Allah gave that job to man. And many of the hosts of heaven, said that man could never manage that big responsibility. And Allah said, "When I have breathed into him of My Ruh, My inspiration, then accept him, make obeisance, make a gesture of obedience to My chief".
Not this Chief. So, when He said that all the angels, they submitted right away. They said "G-d, we don't have any knowledge except that that you gave us." In other words, if you say it, it's it. We don't question it. But one among them was bigheaded. Big chested. Arrogant. Drunken with conceit. He thought himself bigger than he was, and he refused to accept man in that kind of responsibility. So, G-d said, "This is the wrong place for you, get you down from here, into the earth." And He cast them out, and even Adam, along with him. And Eve. He cast them all out, because that one was so powerful that he was able to influence the man that G-d had created. For a high position, great role in the creation.
But remember the man hadn't yet received what Allah said He was going to give him. He said that when I have given him of My inspiration. When I have fed him of My spirit, then he would be ready. Then He said that you have caused my man to slip and lose his place in the garden. But I know his nature. One of these days, hard times is going to make him remember Me. Then if he remembers and turns back to Me, I will hear him then I will forgive him. So, it says, "And Adam remembered his Lord. He learned a word from his Lord and he repented." And he repented.
All right. Abraham was never a Jew. That's the Qur'an, in case you don't know. And he was not a Christian. He was never Christian. But he was always an upright Muslim. And we are told that the order of Prophet Muhammad is after the order of Prophet Ibrahim. The order of Prophet Muhammad is the Millati Ibrahim, the order of Prophet Ibrahim. Why is this Prophet so important for Muslim? I was on a talk show once, about maybe a year and a half or so ago now in the South and this Southern woman called in, and she was upset, and she said, "Are you the children of Christ? Or the children of Abraham? I said, "We are not the children of anybody, but the order of our Prophet is the order of Abraham, the upright in faith."
And we had some little exchange of words, and I guess it wasn't meant for her to hear at all. But I left that program and I reflected much on her question. Then I said to myself, "What is wrong with Abraham, that she would want to put him in some backseat make him inferior to Jesus Christ? When it was Abraham that the blessing was announced in. The blessing was announced in Abraham. When G-d announced the blessing that He was going to give man, He announced that blessing through Abraham. He said, "I will bless your seed Abraham. And you study the Bible, and you will see that whoever else G-d said He included in that blessing, He made it a condition that they were following Abraham. That was the condition. That they were carrying out, the strategy of Prophet Abraham. Prophet Abraham was given not just a faith, Prophet Abraham was given a strategy. Prophet Abraham was given a blueprint, a map, a direction. And people began to conceive a greater life, greater possibilities, a greater future. Here on earth. He talked about the promised land. And Moses came behind him. And Moses didn't get into promised land. And Jesus came behind Moses. And Jesus didn't get into the promised land. How do we know? Because Jesus left a prayer to let everybody know, no, he didn't make it there. "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven." He didn't say, "Thy kingdom is here." He said, "Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven."
Now Prophet Muhammad didn't pray like that. He didn't make no such prayer. Why? Because in Prophet Muhammad, prophecy was fulfilled and if prophecy was fulfilled, also the promise is fulfilled. He brought us home to the promised land. Now how are we to understand that? They thought the promised land was Canaan land, right? Called Canaan land, and we know about the Canaanites, the Amorites. And if you look back into the history and look at the physical, the big people, the actual physical reality of that particular place, that's where we live.
I'm giving you facts of history. Nappy head Africans lived in Canaan. They were the natural inhabitants of Canaan and they were strong people. When the new comers came in and battled them for that spot, they said, "Oh, this is going to be a hard battle. This is the Bible. This is going to be a hard battle, because these black men, they have invented weapons of iron.
Stick to in our lives. We are made so we can be attracted to anything that the world says is right, because they have fished in the waters of our sentiments. And they have brought us under the rule of sentimental attachments, where we are just sentimentally attached to something without rational or real understanding of what it's all about. So, we are closing this out now, and I want to close it out with something that one of the artists, who's a very popular artist, guitar artist and singer, I'm sure you've heard of his songs. Can't think of his name right now. It's a pity the man died so young. His song goes like this, he says, "You fine thing, you make my heart sing." That's his name. Jimi Hendrix. Now I don't know who gave him those words to that song, but I'll tell you, it's correct.
The heart has a string, if you understand the symbolism we've been working with today. The heart has a spiritual string that operates as a string. You can pull on it and play music and bring the whole being under influence of that music. You can take the same string and put a weapon on it and fire it at the person and kill 'em. Whole lot of possibilities and many more, so we can understand that. Well, I'm going to leave that on your mind today. If you well. I hope you are well. I know one thing-I am not going to give up this religion of Abraham. And Abraham does well. Oh, yes. And we still got a well in Mecca, Zamzam Well. Along comes somebody behind him and they put dirt in the wells that Abraham had made. Now that wasn't right, not to fill them up with dirt. We need wells, we need water, we need to be well.
But we don't want to be no muk mud . Yeah. They used to call us Muk Mud . Some of you all been around maybe long enough to remember that. Called my father Elijah Muk Mud. Had us going around calling ourselves "Wallace Muk Mud". "Herbert Muk Mud". If I catch up with that little Jachubite boy I'm going to turn him into a Muk Mud. That's a shame, laughing at what he had done to us. "Yeah, I have messed your mind up so".... That that is found in the earth, that is precious, where is it taken from? A mine. A silver mine, a gold mine, salt mine, a coal mine. All the valuable parts of the earth is called mine. And that mind game they played, Muk Mud, is cheaper, way cheaper. Well, I think that should do it for today. The next time we talk to you, Insha Allah, we're going to talk about getting back to the basis of life. How to establish ourselves culturally.
And I want you to know this, we are in the process of building up our own new, tailor-made, natural culture. Things don't happen overnight for people. We are new people with new visions, independent Blacks of the knowledge and religion, G-d has blessed us with that. And you shall see, over a period of years and generations, the growth of a new culture. Can that happen here in America? America says, of itself, that this is multiracial, multicultural, a pluralistic society. That mean that it accommodates the birth and growth of new cultures. Now they have an old saying, I think they say it came from Shakespeare or Mark Twain or something like that, "East is East and West is West, and never will the twain meet." There are some of them that for the first time, the theory has been proven wrong. Because I am an American. And my religion is Al-Islam. And this American and his religion have met.
So don't look over here for no Arab, the Arabs are in Arabia. And don't look to see a Negro, or a Black man. This is Bilalian baby. Bilalian America. You just keep watching and you going to see more branches and more blossoms and more dress until the culture is made complete. We got singers, their songs keep growing. The meaning, the substance of their songs keep getting better and better. Pretty soon, we going to come out with recipes that's going to make The Nation of Islam's diet look like mincemeat . Trying to forge dignitaries in the Waldorf Astoria. That's right. Inshallah, you're going to see cultural scientists rise up in America, out of the American Muslim Mission.
You're going to see a new people and a new life that's going to be rooted in American basic idea of respect for the common person and freedom and democracy, but we are also going to see Al-Islam blossom, and Islam has never gone into a society or into a world to uproot all that it was. It has only gone there to compliment what it was. And Islam is here to compliment the good that we have here in America. And you're going to see something rise over here, baby, that's going to really be wonderful. Why, you wouldn't believe it. The other day, a European American, walked into our Masjid in Oakland and greeted me and introduced himself. He said, "My name is Bilal." Bilal? I thought about it for a few minutes, I said, "Well, hell, this is all right."
If we understand the way I know Bilal, I'm not taking about no Ethiopian. I'm talking about a certain attitude of heart, an innocence on the part of the man's heart. That is Bilal. That when it comes in contact with the right environment, it opens up to it. It says, "Yes. This is it. This is what I've been waiting for." It's a sentimental side of man that wants to be right, that wants to be under G-d and not under slave masters and liars and corrupters. So, I said to myself, "This is beautiful." I said from now on when I say Bilal, I'm not talking about an Ethiopian, I'm talking about the innocent state of man's heart. And one of these days, Inshallah, we're going to be called Bilalians, and we are going to be made up of Hispanics, African American, European American, Chinese, everybody going to come in here, in America.
But I'm a follower Muhammad and I say as Prophet Muhammad said, Peace be on him, "There is no superiority of Black over white, no superiority of white over Black. The only superiority is in your ability to obey G-d." I pray Allah keeps us in this faith, lead us into more understanding, cause our minds to grow and grow, strong enough to face all the challenges in this environment. Rise the mind of the Muslims up in America, to be the light on this side of the earth. It happened once, I believe it's happening again. So, I thank you, may Allah grant us peace, good intentions, faith in Him, ability to seek light where light is, read the Qur'an, study it daily, add a few lines to your memory, from the Qur'an, briefly if you can, daily if you can, become more knowledgeable because that will mean good for us.
Don't just be excited over my talk today and go away and think that that's it, until I see you again. Pick up your Qur'an and read it and I guarantee you, if you began to read more, with the explanations you have got from me, you will gain much more from your readings. Peace be unto you and may Allah grant us all good days, good weeks, good months, good year, good decade, and freedom from all this bullshit. As Salaam Alaikum.
Announcement:
Bismillah Ar Rahma Nir Raheem. As Salaam Alaikum. It certainly was a pleasure and also a treasure to have Imam Warith Deen Mohammed. And before you run out, don't be like the people who run out a baseball game in the last few seconds, thinking the game is all over and then you find out something happened at the end that changed and made a difference. Now, here at the Masjid, there is food being sold upstairs, on the third floor. Sister Karima Ali has opened down the street to accommodate those of you who want to eat. For the other members, from other Masjids and centers, you should go upstairs, on the second floor and donate your charity to keep the program going, and most importantly for the believers here and the visitors, go by our charity buckets and leave something with us to help this program. And I have a few short announcements and if you would just be a little bit more patient and allow us to dismiss properly, as Muslims dismiss, and that is with a prayer. So please be patient and after the announcements, we will have a short dismissal.
IWDM:
Study the bible. "And let that man reign until it rains." Now, it's spelled like that, but rain is also spelled like this.
Now, what we all have to come into knowledge of is this fine, fine eye opening fact of life down here on Earth. The rulers are not those who have big sticks, and clubs, and armies. The rulers are those who know how to master your sensitivities, your spiritual nature. So those people who know how to affect your spiritual life, to keep it in the mud, the polluted. And also they know how to bring it up when they want to, to bring it up on the material basis, and lift it up in heaven. You don't find any of the solutions in materialism.
Those people who have that gift of rain, they are the ones who reign. Again, listen please. Those how have the knowledge R-A-I-N, they are the ones who R-E-I-G-N.
Rain and reign. And they say "The rain in Spain falls mainly in the plains".
And we had a plain boy in the White House a little while ago, didn't we? And now he's gone, and it's a famine. Ain't no more rain. And none in the plains. It might be some on the mountains, but they don't let it come down in the plains anymore.
What I mean by that, clear, wholesome, water, understanding for life. Those manning the stations got the poor confused. Got them in bad shape. Their spirituality is upset. Remember, no clear vision, no clear focus as to where they're going. They have no idea what lies ahead now or in the future.
So, this is a bad time for the human sensitivity, for the spiritual makeup of man. But Insha Allah, we'll make it.
I reached back about 3000 years or so in the past, I just reached back there, and I grasped something. And I picked it up and looked at it. I said, "This doesn't look like a regular walking cane. And I threw the thing down and it became a serpent, moving.
So, I reached to grab the thing up and made it a walking cane again. And I said, "Good G-d, almighty, you have some use." I said, "I will hold on to you." Then I looked my hand, and I took it, and I stuck it next to my heart, then it came out white. And I said, "My, oh my." And I stuck it in again, so that it would become natural, like the rest of my body. I said, "Boy, this is groovy." Some powerful magic. Some powerful magic. Oh, this is some powerful magic.
And then I took up the scripture, and I did something to it, and it became water. And I poured it on the ground and it became blood. I said, "Wow." This is powerful. I said, "Boy, I think I'm going to put nine loops in the belt now, instead of seven. This is powerful."
Powerful. Let us finish what we're talking about regarding rain. Rainbow. Rainbow. Now, they tell us there are seven colors in the rainbow. Now, let us go from the rainbow. And look, the Bible said, G-d said, "I put my bow in the heavens as a sign that the Earth would never be destroyed by a flood. The whole Earth will never be destroyed by a flood again."
What is the meaning of that? The rainbow, the colors represent the basic sciences of the spirituality and emotional nature of man. Those colors are red, yellow, blue, different colors, right?
Now, maybe you still don't understand all of them, but quickly, red, what does red represent? In the psychology chart. Anger, excitement, rage, et cetera. What does blue represent? Blue represents a low mood, low spirit. Blue represents a depression. Red represents excitation. Blue represents a depression. Now, we find that the sky is blue, and the waters of the sea are blue.
When we look at our environment, especially on a clear day, there seems to be more blue than anything else. So, what does it represent? It represents a dominant tendency in the makeup of man's emotionality. Most people are inclined to be sad, restless, on a low ebb if something ain't happening.
If there's a lot of noise, something happening, they ain't blue no more. You see, a cloudy sky is not blue. And there's a good storm come up, the sky get noisy. It was quiet and blue, but now it's full of activity. Clouds look like they're going to war with each other. Here come a big black one on his camel, and another bluish, gray one, coming like a serpent to attack it underneath. And they just coming at each other, clouds forming.
And after a while, you'll see a lightning flash, one done struck one with a bolt. Boom. And the sky booms. The sky ain't blue. It's excited. It's not at war. See a blue sky is a sky at rest. A clear sky, a sky at rest. But a sky full of confusion, it's not blue, it's not at rest. And after all the confusion, the skies dissipate right?
And usually, if it ain't no storm and killing carrying on, rain comes. And when rain comes, the new life gets the fresh water, and the sun come out, and the combination just make everything so happy. They're happy, right? On the up and up. Right? Now, we know clear skies, blue skies, clear skies make us feel happy, if it's in the day, if it's while the sun is shining. But a blue sky without the sun, it's sad, right? Yes, it's sad. Blue sky and no sun is sad. Nothing but blue, sad.
Some of us are just like the blue sea. The blue sea is sad. The sea is moody. So that blue sea represents a moody space in man. The sea, it may be going, traveling out, or it may be coming in, you know out tide and in tide. Sometimes it's churning. Low tide, it's just sitting there quiet. Moody, right? Moody. Very moody. So that's where they get blue from, but blue up there also represents clarity, because it's clear blue, clear skies, clarity.
But let me tell you something about this clarity. That blue sky, that's called a clear sky, it's a trick, man. It ain't clear at all. How do we know it ain't clear? Because at night, when it gets black almost, you see what the blue sky was hiding. Blue sky was hiding the heavenly order. And when night come, the sky gets black almost, you see all the stars up there. So, look what that clear blue sky was hiding.
That's why G-d says in the Qur'an, "On that day you shall gather the guilty blue eyed." Haven't we read that the light of this world is darkness with G-d? Because the sun, as symbol, hides what is above it. The sun shows what is down here, but hides what's up there. When the sun comes up, it shows what's below, and hides what's above. Isn't that true?
You can see the moon. And you can see a few stars in the daytime, but the great canopy of stars, the many galaxies, that represents in the science, knowledge of your psyche, and the possibilities of your behavior. You see?
Man has used those stars to spell a language, to write a language, about the scientific possibilities for your mind, your psychic nature. And the very sun hides that up there. Again, a sign of this world. This world either shows you the material sciences or the spiritual sciences. If you will accept not to be involved materially in the world, they will pull you into the spiritual sciences. You have to either be a student of the night or a student of the day. They will not accept that you be wise upstairs and downstairs at the same time.
So, they'll find a visceral sun. It was dark down there, but when it goes up there. It has to die to be up there. It dies. It goes down. It goes to sleep, dies. Then we can see up there. Are you following me?
If you are, baby, you are into something. All right. How do we get off that boat? While the pitiful Indians didn't know the science behind the bow. The Indians came out against the intruders with just the bow. Just the symbol, but they didn't have the science. Now, the rainbow and the other bow, stick right? Stick, like that. And a string, right? A string. And it shoots. It shoots arrows. It shoots arrows. Indians took a look. "It shoots arrows."
Now, this bow here is a stick. Right? The bow is called a stick. S-T-I-C. Stick. And the string is called a string. S-T-R-I-N-G, string. Now, take the S-T away. See ring? Take the S off. See tick? See tick? Tick. Say there's a clock. A clock ticks. Tick-tock, tick-tock. Hear the clock ticking, man? Right? Yeah.
String, string instruments. What is this a play on? When you look at your body and the clock, you see that you have strings in your body. You have muscle cords. They call them cords, right? Muscle cords. You have vocal cords. You have muscle cords. Tendons, muscle cords, et cetera.
You have bowels, and they're also cords. Bowels. And if you look at these strings and cords in your body, they're very, very important to your body. You speak with your vocal cords. You're able to control yourself, and stand up, and hold yourself in form, and move about, and defend yourself, because of muscle cords. When you're born, you find that your life is tied to a naval cord.
So, strings, or cords, are very important in your makeup, right? Okay. Now, rings, why strings? String, rings. Rings. What type of ring? A ring on my finger? When you say a woman got the fellow, they say she got a ring in his nose. Right? So, what is ring? Ring means a completion. See? This is a ring.
A ring is a circle. What is a circle? Comes from the phonetic, circle. What is that? Five. Five. Circle means five. Ring means five. Five what? Five senses. But a ring on your finger means when you're married your five senses is supposed to come under check. They're supposed to be contained.
Now, maybe you better believe in your five senses before you're married, but when you're married you and your wife are supposed to accept that your five senses come under check. You don't want to do the wild things you used to do. All right? So, you ring your five senses. You see?
There's another five like that. You see? So, a ring means checking the five senses.
Now, strings, what do strings mean? It means an S-T, ring. What does S-T stand for? Stop. Stop the ring. Stop the five senses. Another way of saying check the five senses. Now, string then, the string represents a principle of your sensitivity. See a string is drawn tight. And when you pull it and let it go, it vibrates. So, it represents your sensitivity. String represents spiritual, spiritual side of man.
The snake charmer, they charm the snake. The snake is a cord. The snake is a long cord. It ain't got no structured body. It's just a long cord. So, the charmer charms the snake, and the snake is a symbol of your spiritual life. It means that music appeals to the sensitivity, and though the snake has no legs, no bones, or nothing, you can draw it up and make it hold to a form, by influencing it spiritually.
So, the spiritual side of man can be manipulated or made to form up and take different forms by spiritual influences, right? Now, so the bow and arrow represents a principle that operates in man's spirituality or in the emotional side of him.
Cupid is a little baby from Greek mythology, and Cupid is pictured with a bow and arrow. And the song says, "Cupid, draw back your bow, and let your arrow go straight into your heart for me."
Now, the head of an arrow is usually shaped like a heart. Right? The head of an arrow itself is usually shaped like a heart, so it represents a heart principle. You fire into the man, a heart principle. A sensitivity of the heart. And you kill them with the force or the sensitivity of the heart.
Now, aren't we destroyed by the sensitivities of our heart? Those who vow to give themselves to the worship of a white Jesus, a white image of the Jesus on the cross. How are you going to be manipulated into doing that? Because the spiritual message was a heart sentiment. And a heart sentiment is fired into the nature of the heart.
And it's paralyzed or checked the five senses.
All right. What does a stick represent? The stick represents your life, your material life. But look at the state of your material life. A bow is always bent. The stick of a bow is always bent. You just bend it more to get firing power. But in order to be a bow, or a weapon, it has to be bent to fire it.
So, to warp your senses, your perception of the real world, bend it, warp it. And after they warp it, you'll develop a new view of yourself. There's a new view on the weapon. When they put a spiritual component to you, that's the string. And then they put the arrow, the heart principle with a stick on it. It's got a stick, too. But it's stick is straight. The arrow, if it's a good arrow, it's straight. The bow is bent, but the arrow is straight.
So, your mind, once they bend your mind, and have you warped as to how you can look at reality, then they can take a straight principle and fire it into your warped mind, and still your five senses.
Yes, yes. See, now, look. That's that bow in its natural form. Now, when we get ready to fire it, this is going to come closer. So, to fire the straight principle, to kill a man's mind, or his senses, his perception is lost to what's happening. What you got to do? You know, Cupid's bow, it's a symbol meaning that the force of her love, the force of your feelings or affection for her is too strong for your mind. It cause you to lose your five senses. You can't use your five senses.
So, her influence comes right into you, man, and just takes you over. Right? Okay. Now, look what happens to the bow. When you draw the bow it becomes smaller. When this is drawn closer, what happens? When this is drawn closer, this point, from here to here is shorter. Right? What does it symbolize? It symbolizes the warping of the concept. See the concept is bent, but it's bent to form a circle.
A good bow is a half a circle. A good bow would be a half a circle, right? Yeah, it would be just about a half a circle. But as you bend it, you make it become like this, become less. So instead of it being like this, it becomes warped, it becomes more like this. Right? Or like this. By bending it, it becomes more like this. So, what you had in the beginning was a hollow circle, right? Now, you have a lower circle.
But as you get a lower circle, what do you get? You get a more perfect circle. And if you draw the bow too much, you get a deformed circle. So, you can do what you want to that circle, can't you? But ideally, the best bending of the bow will be when you got it to just about a perfect circle. And the arrow is straight, right? The arrow is straight. The bow is bent. And then you let it go and fire. But you already had it bent to start with, but it was bent on a certain periphery. On a certain periphery, a circle, or arc, right?
When you pulled it, you changed that arc. Now, tell me something. When they tell you or describe for you what is rational in the world, they are fixing your rational grasp to a certain concept of the world. And then usually it is a concept that they say is universal.
Universal means that it's complete. It's a circle. But when they want to get you to accept a different principle, they'll fix it so you are real flexible. And you would accept that the rationale be bent, to form a new delivery, or a new arc, right?
The rationale for that new principle is different from the other one. Right? So that's what the bow stands for. The bow stands for the ability to adjust man's mind, to accept different universal concepts. Jesus loves you. That's one. Now, hold it right there. Now, you're a bow that we would like to use. Stand him in that corner, over there.
And they'll tell you that G-d is an idea that can't be proven. Now, they've bent you again. And so this conforms to material objects. Now, they've bent you again. That's another bow. We'll stand that bow over there. Now, they get them in order and they look at them.
They said, "Now, we're going to fix the masses. So, they will represent all these bows. We're going to make them conform to a kind of mind that will accept any bow you want, any time you want it." Oh, very good. Okay, let's go out and put this philosophy on the market, put that philosophy on the market, put this record on the market with this, we'll bring all these influences together, so that they will condition your mind to accept those different kinds of adjustments.
And then they put one man up that represent all these bows. "Hey, man, isn't it true that reality is objectivity?"
"Yeah, man. I'm a scientist, man. We believe in the scientific method. So, it's true, man. Yeah, right."
You put them in the church on Sunday morning, say, "Isn't it true that Jesus is G-d?"
"Yes, man. That's true, man". Same dude.
Now, his mind has been made so he accepts contradicting ideas. His logic has bent and made to adjust, influenced to adjust to any kind of world concept.
"So, there's no reality, but materialism?"
"Yes, that's right."
"So that Jesus is the light of the world?"
"Yes, that's right."
"So, then G-d parted the sea?"
"That's right."
"So, the seas can't part, you can't part these waters in this laboratory unless you use something physical to do it?"
"That's right."
They bring the laboratory to the church "And G-d parted the Red Sea."
"That's right."
It's the same person. Take him and put them in the school.
Say "And the sun follows these laws, and the sun can't break those laws."
"That's right."
Put them in the church. "And Joshua made the sun stand still."
"Amen."
"And you can love everybody?"
"That's right."
"That man was right to kill that sucker that raped his wife."
"That's right."
"Thou shalt not kill."
"That's right."
"That sucker who ran into your car, you ought to sue him."
"That's right."
So, we don't have any-
