National Convention CPC Report

By Imam W. Deen Mohammed

We are having the Annual Muslim Convention every year in Detroit. This part of the day is to present to you all again the business of CPC Collective Purchasing, and also the most recent developments and so that we keep you informed of what's going on and how it is progressing. I am sure you saw us busy there looking at garments here, but it is some of the most beautiful garments for ladies I've ever seen. And the designer is a sister who has been with us for good while. Very, very beautiful, excellent material. If you would, could you? They won't be in the fashion show because they just arrived. There was not time. But the brothers are going to try, they're going try to put them in your sight, at least put them in your sight. You who are a distance away, you probably can't really see the quality and very beautiful, very beautiful design, very high quality, excellent design and very high quality. The fabric itself is high quality. And because of connections with China, we can afford these.
Audience Member:
Beautiful.
Imam WD Mohammed:
Yeah, they're very beautiful. Very, very attractive, high quality, very attractive designs, all designed by the Muslim sister.
Audience Member:
These are ready for JC Penneys.
Imam WD Mohammed:
It makes us feel really special when we wear something and everybody says, "h that's so beautiful. Where did you get that?" And we know that a member of our community did it. That really makes us feel special. Now don't forget when you finish showing those, don't forget to tell them about the other mega bomb we got. Yeah, we got mega bombs. Nobody got a mega bomb like China. All that manpower. See how things happen? The biggest population is the population represented by the Chinese people. And isn't it just justice, G-d's justice that those who represent the biggest numbers and still respecting their lives and their families and working hard, loyal to their country, they should be the ones favored by G-d. And they are. He favor the many over the few, the bigger the family. And we used to say that even, older people used to say it in my ears when I was young. They said, "Don't be afraid to have a lot of children. You get blessed more." G-d cares about those who have the big responsibility and China has a huge responsibility to its very, very huge population. We don't know how long it'll last. Only Allah knows. But while it lasts, we are going to benefit. We are not going to close our eyes to the openings that are there for us. And right now our government favors the relationship, favors its relationship with China. It's good.
Imam WD Mohammed:
Let me know when you finish brothers.
Audience Member:
Yes sir.
Imam WD Mohammed:
Oh, but you need to come here then.
Audience Member:
Oh yes sir.
Imam WD Mohammed:
You need the mic.
Audience Member:
Yes sir.
Imam WD Mohammed:
You said something to me. I know you're not finished. He's correct.
Imam Yahya Abdullah:
Bismillah Ar Rahman Nir Rahim. With G-d's Name the Merciful Benefactor, the Merciful Redeemer. As Salaam Alaikum.
Audience:
Wa Alaikum As Salaam.
Imam Yahya Abdullah:
Dear brothers and sisters, we are very honored and we are grateful to G-d Almighty Allah for blessing us with such excellent leadership and a visionary. We know that, visionary leadership in Imam WD Mohammed. What you see, these are products, but those products have a source. It's like when you plant a tree and you can't see the seed, the water and all the nurturing that goes into it. You benefit from the fruits. You see the apple tree and then you share the apple. But it's a lot of the work and a lot of nurturing and watering that produced that.
Imam Yahya Abdullah:
And that's what Imam WD Mohammed has put in us in this community. That we are producing products and we are following his lead. That's what we are doing. We're following him. So, he's not just leading us in prayers and Ramadan Sessions and Conventions. No, he's leading us in big business. Big business. And we went to China. Imam Abu Qadar, he will speak also and I from San Francisco, and we were following the initiative. These are business initiatives of Imam WD Mohammed. We have no agenda. We are working to help him and help this community and what he has managed to produce. And he told me, he said, my father did big things, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and he said, we're going to do big things. And he said, we want to change the economic conditions in the African-American community. Yes. And we're doing it. Yes sir. We're doing it. So, the other part now for the sisters we have, this is the new blessings. As he says. Allah is opening the heavens and letting the blessings just come out. We have already, Imam Mohammed has already ordered suits, leisure suits for the brothers, but more importantly sisters, we have a big order coming of beautiful dresses under Grace Line Fashions. Beautiful dresses. He's already made the order. He's already made the order. It's about 1700 beautiful dresses you could wear to Jumu'ah, banquet and they're not just for Muslims. We'll have garments. These garments will be for Muslim sisters. But the market is bigger than our market. The market is the broader market. And that's the kind of leadership we have with Imam Mohammed. He said, we don't want to just sell to us. We want to sell to the bigger market. So, brothers and sisters, when these beautiful dresses come in, these garments, and we may be about 45 to 60 days away from them getting here Inshallah, you'll be able to open boutiques, brothers and sisters, you'll be able to have dresses that you can sell to the general public and they will love them. And they do what they call market research, test the market.
Imam Yahya Abdullah:
So, I had some of the samples that Imam Mohammed had given to me and I was just showing them to just ladies, just ladies, not a Muslim lady. And they were like, "Can I buy those?" I said, these are the samples. No, they were wonderful. So, they're waiting. So, sisters, we do have those dresses coming. Imam Mohammed has already placed the order for those dresses. And we brothers, it's one, two, Imam Mohammed has on one, whoever out there with group volume buy suit on. Anybody wearing a group volume buy suit? Stand up if you have on a G-V-B-W-D-M, look at these beautiful suits. Look at these beautiful suits. Come up here brothers. They can't see you over there. Come here. Come on over here. Come up. If you have on one of these beautiful suits, that's the brown one. This is a soft blue. This is a blue one, that's a dark black. Where the other brothers, I saw some other brothers. Brother back there has on one. Our brother here has on a suit, Group volume buy. All from China. And you can get them from Imam WD Mohammed. We still have some left. I believe we still have some left in Chicago. So, if you contact the... Yes Sister Amatullah. Oh, you have some downstairs. They have some downstairs. So, they did bring some. So tomorrow if you have them today wear them. But tomorrow if you don't have a suit, go downstairs and purchase one.
Audience Member:
We want everybody wearing one.
Imam Yahya Abdullah:
And wear these suits tomorrow for the public address. We should come out in Group Volume Buy WDM Products. I didn't bring any suit here except those. That's all I'm wearing.
Imam Yahya Abdullah:
So, we will also have, Mohammed has already done that. See leadership. Leadership that we can trust and depend on. He is well ahead. So, he said, okay, we got the suits. Right behind the suits. He said, well we want to have leisure suits because we don't wear the dress suits all the time. So, he put the leisure suits in my hand. He said, see if they can, our plant can manufacture these. And we sent them over there. Imam Abu Qadar and I went to China. We put the leisure suits on the table. They sent us samples back look better than the ones we gave them. Yeah. So, brothers, we got the leisure suits coming. 2,500 leisure suits, five different styles. See that's leadership right there. Long sleeve ready for the, they'll be ready.
Imam Yahya Abdullah:
When they get here, you can wear them in the fall, wear them in the winter. And those in those hot climates, you can wear those in the summertime. So, I'm going to give way now to Imam Abu Qadar Al Amin.
Abu Qadir Al Amin:
Dear respected believers. I want to be very brief and say that the reception that we received in China when we went there representing the leadership of Imam WD Mohammed and his interest for this community, that the people really received us very warmly. One of the things that I observed with the company we are dealing with, they met us at the airport, picked us up to the airport, took us to our hotel, and every meal that they served us, they brought somebody to the table that had something to do with the business. The people who make the buttons, the people who make the linings, the people who put the cargo on the ships, the people at the port, the government officials.
Abu Qadir Al Amin:
Every time we had lunch or dinner, they brought somebody to the table that had an interest in the business. And they're looking forward to coming to Chicago to meet with our leader Imam WD Mohammed. And they're very excited about the business that we are doing with them. Our business has helped them in their business. They started out in a factory. Their factory is in a poor neighborhood in China, but they're very industrious, hardworking people. And as a result of them doing business with us, they now have a new factory that's in a downtown area. So, our effort is not only strengthening our community, it's strengthening their community. And I want to say very briefly the work that we are doing for us, Imam Yahya and myself, this is the labor of love. We love what we're doing for this community. Some of you who know me, I like to make money.
Abu Qadir Al Amin:
I love making money. And ever since I've been with Imam WD Mohammed, working with him, my money is continuing to grow. It's not diminishing. I just signed a contract recently, four year contract, $350,000 a year. I'm able to employ some Muslims and I'm just doing this with the Imam on the side. If I was doing this full time, I believe I'd be a millionaire multi by now. So, I'm looking forward to that opportunity. We love the leadership. We're going to do everything we can. We want you men and women to get up behind the Imam.
Audience Member:
That's right.
Abu Qadir Al Amin:
Brother said, "Well how can we sell the suits?" Christians dress more than Muslims. Establish relationships with those Christian ministers in your neighborhood and show them how they can come and buy five suits, $1,500 suits. They can buy them from us, a thousand dollars, get five suits. They can upgrade their wardrobe. Their charity is going to increase because they're looking better. They don't like to give you money when it look like you need money, but when it look like you don't need their money, they give you more money. And that's part of the psychology we need to learn. If we continue to look like we don't have solutions, we not going to attract the people to us. Imam Mohammed wants us to look better, perform better, think better, behave better, and just do better. And this is our day and we got to have a winning spirit. You can't win with a down spirit. The spirit got to be up. Muhammad Ali, when he fought George Foreman in Africa, he said to his people around him, he said, you act like you fixing to get in there with that man.
Abu Qadir Al Amin:
Get away from me with that bad spirit and let's win. Let's fight. Let's fight for the future of our community right here in America. And it's a blessing that we right here where it all started. And it is no coincidence Imam Mohammed was born on Yemen Street. I said I wasn't going to say much so I don't want to. I'm pressed for time and I'm also pressed for let's get some work done. I don't know how much time I got. We having too many Janazahs and not enough births. Let's give birth to this new movement under Imam WD Mohammed's leadership. Let's go forward. Let's go forward and make greater progress than we ever seen before. Thank you very much. As Salaam Alaikum.
Speaker 1:
Brothers and sisters may mention that the suits will not sell, The suits will sell, no question. We in North Carolina have purchased suits. We had an event in Charlotte, North Carolina, we did it professionally on a high class level. We rented a hotel. We invite the community and the Reverends and many others to come out and we gave them a buffet reception where they can come in and eat, look at the suits at the same time. Did a marvelous, wonderful job. And we sold suits. Not only are we going to do it right in North Carolina, we're going to do it all over the country. And you'll see that their is going to be a demand in the store for us. We're going to have the women's garments next time. Thank you. As Salaam Alaikum.
Imam Yahya Abdullah:
One thing we have to share with you is the quality, so you know what we are doing, the kind of suits that we have. The suits that we have, if you go to any high quality or quality men's store or if you go to Dillard's or some of these stores, Josey Banks. I've done this, Imam Kadar and I have done it, Imam David, David Hassan has done it. The quality that we have, Super 150's and we have one style navy blue that's a Super 180. Now someone asked me, and I'll show you this jacket on the inside, said, "Where's the number?" I said, listen, I went to a tailor that tailors $2,500 suits, $5,000 suits. We did our homework. And these people in Dallas say they make suits for the NBA players and the NFL players. And I went in there long time ago and I asked them to show me Super 150 fabric, Super 140, Super 180 fabric. And they showed me the suits. And I asked them, how much does it cost? She said, "Well if you want one machine made, it'll be $2,500." Machine. She said, "But if you want it handmade, it's $5,000. That's what she told me. Now what she showed me the suits. I'm looking for the 140, 150, I'm looking for numbers. She said, "You don't put numbers in a high quality suit."
Imam Yahya Abdullah:
That's what she told me. She said, "Who put a number in a high quality suit?" You supposed to know what it is. That's what she said. So, I said, well educate me. This was months ago, long time. So, one of the brothers called me. He said, well I don't see the number in the suit. I said, because it's not cheap, it's a high quality suit. You don't put numbers in a high quality suit. So, these suits.... And Dillons, I went to Dillons. They have what they call Hotsharpner and Marks. They're high end line. $800 for Hotsharpner and Marks. Alright, well if you buying $4,500 worth or if you have a CPC membership, you can get these suits. $4500 worth, $60. From Imam WD Mohammed. Alright, and you got a product that you can put it with the best. I went to Nordstrom's. Now that's a high end store.
Imam Yahya Abdullah:
Some of you all know Nordstrom's. All right, go in Nordstrom's. Go to the back of the men's department. They have a line of suits called Canali, C-A-N-A-L-I, Italian name Canali. They are Super 120. Again, no numbers in the jacket. I checked. Super 120 is not even the high quality we have. So, I asked the salesman, I said, well how much is that Canali? He said, "Listen, $1,395 for a Super 120. And it didn't look, I checked the suit, I checked it up and down. I looked at the pockets. I checked to see the lining in it, the four lining like we have. The double pleats in the pants, the half lining in the leg, the wider band. And the legs were skinny legs. They weren't even wide legs like the ones we have and he wanted $1,400 for that suit. I said, Good Lord Almighty, we have some gold. As the Imam called it- gold. This is gold. So, you have high quality, not cheap. And if you don't know the quality, just take some time and do what I said in whatever city you are in. You go and you check it and you compare so you can have the confidence that what our leadership is bringing to you is the best there is at an affordable price in these economic hard times. That's what I wanted to share with you. As Salaam Alaikum.
Imam WD Mohammed:
Thank you. Thank you very, very much. Yes, situation is excellent, excellent. Yes. Let me quickly bring to you what I want to bring to you here because there is a time, we have a time schedule we are on here. What I'm going to be giving you in a few minutes here is information that'll help you see better where we are with the business and our improvements that we have made, which you've gotten a lot of that already, and where we hope to go very soon with the business. So, at this Annual Muslim Conference here in Detroit, Michigan, the Motor City, we are asking Allah to bless the gathering and to bless our vision and to increase us in light and understanding so we can progress continually and in the way that pleases our Lord, the G-d of the heavens and the earth Allah, Subhana Wa Ta Al'a. Business members. And I believe that a lot of our investors are in this audience. How many of you have invested into the business effort? Yes, I felt that and that's the way we want it. We want to talk to you because you are our business partners. We all are business partners in this.

Again, Peace be unto you, As Salaam Alaikum. How are we like Irish Americans and many others? We Muslims are obligated to accept responsibility for the space we occupy. If we don't have that space, Islam obligates us, us Muslims, to get it. In Atlanta, Georgia, we have that space and we are growing there. In Bermuda, we have that space and we are growing there. Where we are we're stretching out to reach more so we can have more growth. Collective Purchase Conferences, Conference, CPC, our Grace Line fashion show, our Grace Line Fashions open up opportunity, opens up opportunity for us to grow more. Soon after I conclude we are going to have Grace Line fashion show. That's why this extension is here. We also having cultural program after the fashion show. And we are going to have entertainment that does not retard the Muslim life. All of this represents more reach that will bring more growth. Business can't thrive if there's only business. Business thrives because of the needs in families more than the needs of individuals. It thrives because of the needs in a neighborhood. It thrives because of the needs in bigger and bigger dimensions of space. The space that we are looking at now that we want to claim, is space for us to establish a model of community life in the neighborhood, a model of community life in the neighborhood. Now we know this is not our vision. We didn't come into this vision. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad started this. We want to have schools, we want to have Masjids. We want to have social centers, a place for us to have weddings and celebrate new births in the community and have banquets and skating rink so that our children can find an outlet and won't have to go outside of our neighborhood or outside of our community to get it from somebody else. We want keep ourselves as much together as possible so that we enjoy life together. That make a people grow stronger. The more we have opportunity or space to grow in and to grow the full life that people need and should want, the better the spirit of the people, the better the work of the people, the better the production of the people, the better the life of the people. These things are all tied together. They're not separated.

So, we can't just grow in one dimension. We have to grow in many dimensions and that's what Allah has blessed us with by telling us that we are a community. "Surely you are the best community, raised for the good of all people." That's what Allah says. So, we have to come into the understanding of what is really meant when we say we are a community. We just can't say it and have no understanding. It means much more than the average one of us are aware of, much more. When you say you are a community, then where is your community? It should be visible. But if you're developing plans to strengthen business and extend business, the business life for the group that you identify in or with, then that tells people that you are reaching for something big, and it tells people that you are growing in community dimensions.

It tells people that these people doing this work, having this vision that they have, they will soon be able to manage their space called the black neighborhood or the African American neighborhood. Do you know our souls will never rest and we won't even know why we are burdened and why we feel so low down, so down in spirit. We won't know because the world keeps us so busy we don't have time to think and to find out exactly why we are feeling so down and bad. Most of us need a psychiatrist 24 hours a day. Even when we sleep. We need a psychologist to be there, psychologist to be there watching us and to see if you make some crazy twitches in your sleep and he'll make a note of it and work on you once you wake up.

Recently we acquired another piece of property. To build a life and build it together, it's very difficult to do that in these big cities that are already well established and they don't have room for little people. It's too difficult and too expensive. But you can go out as most of them do. I started out by saying how are we like the Irish and many more ethnic groups. We can do as they do. They find an area open, they enter that area, they make sure they got room to grow and they end up being the ones that develop that area. And that's what we want. And I believe we have that situation in Chicago Heights. Chicago Heights has recently changed its makeup. It's not the same people, same people not there. They moved out of there, they're gone. They're gone to I guess better situations. They found better situation, they moved out. And they have left the city, even the downtown area abandoned. And a lot of the property is available just for the taxes that are owed on the property.

And the much of the property has hardly no tax obligation, but they have no one on the land. So, the city can't make money if nothing's on the land. They make money only if they have something on the land where they can get taxes. So, they can get taxes. So, it's an excellent situation there. And I took the name Chicago Heights as a message. We started in Chicago and we acquired land and we were doing a great job, but it wasn't meant to be done there, at least in the circumstances and under the circumstances that existed at that time. It wasn't meant to be fulfilled there. And now we have opportunity to do it again in another place, A smaller place, smaller area. And it has a bigger name than really Chicago. It's not just Chicago, it's Chicago Heights. So, I took it as a message to me that G-d's saying come into this area and I'm going to lift you up to the heights.

And I do believe that's going to happen. So, we acquired a piece of property there, I think we bought it for a good price, we got it for a good price and soon we are going to be selling our products in that facility and we'll be paying rent to CPC and we'll be selling CPC products. And I'm sure that with this kind of money that we are opening up now to our business people in this community, there's going to be many such stores opening up around the country and CPC is going to be selling hundreds of thousands and millions of dollars in products around the country. We are not greedy. A leader has to have a plan to make the people grow. And the only way the people are going to grow, we have to bring products to the people through our business distributors, our business person, bring products to them that will enable them to get those products at a cost that will make them feel that it was a good deal, not to make them pay more. We have to find a way to compete with others. And Allah has blessed us to have that. Before, there was no way for us to compete with these stores like Walmart. And I know you are saying "You can't compete with Walmart." Yes we can. Yes we can. Yes. Where they go, the people like us more.

You'd be surprised how Allah, the Lord G-d of the heavens and earth has put African-Americans in the hearts of many foreign people. We in their hearts They know our history, they know how we have suffered, they know how we have been put down and kept down. And they know that how we've been put in a condition psychologically that's almost impossible to overcome. They know that. They know what we don't know. And they're hearts are with us. Their love goes out to us. My friend there from Pakistan, Brother Atique Mahmoud. When I saw him, I thought he was in Pakistan. It just warmed my heart and soul and I just had to go touch him and shake his hand and hug him because he always loved us like that. He always had that love for us. We as a people, we have room, big room in the hearts of Brother Atique and in the hearts of the Pakistani Muslims. Big place in their hearts. Yes. So, you have to be aware of these things and I want you to be aware of these things because once you can see what I see, you won't have any trouble running like I run. And I know you see me at 75 years old almost, you see me pulling up on the stairs and creeping up here. But inside, oh boy, I can win five gold medals easily. Praise be to Allah. Yes, the spirit is young and that's what counts. That's right. The spirit is young.

So, I'm going to get to now some figures. The property I just mentioned to you in Chicago Heights is costing us right around $200,000. But in my opinion it's worth much more. We have an opportunity to get, we don't have parking area, but we have an opportunity to get parking area right across the street from this facility. There's a place that's for sale really and they have plenty parking area there, plenty open land. So, the situation is excellent. We don't have the money right now to buy that land. The man is asking a little bit too much, but he's in Chicago Heights too and he's ready to move. So, we just sit on it for a while, I think we'll be all right. We are not going to rush to get that land, we're just going to sit on it for a while. And there's land five or six blocks away that we can get right now. So, if we can't get that land that's very close right there where we can get the benefit of not having to go anywhere but just across the street and you're right where we are. And it has four I think, four of those big doors that raise up by remote control. And like a dock, like a dock. Four, four trucks could actually pull up in there and load and unload. And I'm hoping that we'll be able to get that Inshallah. We have a big inventory of goods. To save time, I'm just going to give you the total for the inventory. We have an inventory right now of $187,964 and 71 cents. And our inventory, it can easily be multiplied by three and you will have a minimum of how much money that's going to give us when our distributors sell the inventory.

Yes. So, if you multiply that by three, that's approaching a million dollars with the order we have just put in, the order that Yahya mentioned to you. Beautiful, very high quality women dresses but also women's suits. You can wear them if you work at the bank, you can wear them to the bank, you can wear them off to a business office downtown, wherever, whatever. They're very nice business suits, very well designed and high quality, high quality material that you can afford because we want to make sure that you can get them from us cheaper than you can get them anywhere. Anywhere. We don't believe in undercutting the market or trying to beat the market, but we are a club, not like, just like we started out, we started out what you say, Pledges Club. You remember that? Some of you remember that. We started out Pledges Club, even had the Pledger Club cards. And it says Pledgers and right now you think of a good time, but actually it was pledged like you pledged to stay with it, you pledged to be loyal to your own community and to the interest developing in your own community.

That's what I meant when I put Pledger card on it, it spells Pledger okay. Alright, so when that order is completed and we have paid for it, we will have an inventory of $285,964 and about 71 cents right to the money, right to the penny. Now you multiply that, that's almost $300,000. You multiply that by three, that's close to a million isn't it? That's very close to a million dollars. But we talking about how much money is going to come back into the community as income, as income to the person's working and sharing this responsibility. It's going to be close to a million dollars. Now this is just the beginning. We are just beginning. Do you know pretty soon we'll be talking about a billion dollars? Yes. We have a piece of property on 159th Street. It's just been sitting there. They gave us a lot of problems but I think they say sometime a knock can be a boost. Yes. I think really it's a blessing in disguise that we have had that trouble and still there with that property and haven't been able to develop anything there. Big development has taken place all around us since we purchased that property. Big developments, big developers of this recently, like in the last three or four months or so, have started a big project right behind going south from where we located. And every time any new development comes in your area, the value of your property goes up.

So, the value of our property has gone up. Up. We got an offer. I made an offer first. I told the brother who's carrying my message to these people who lost that land. I told him, tell them that we want $400,000 for it. He told them that. All of them agreed but one. One of their partners said, no, never give, we can never give it to him. So, he brought me that bad message, that bad, bad, bad, bad response from them back. I said, go back and tell them now it's 600,000. And we had somebody look at it from out of town. I think he was a little bit more excited as he didn't know enough about the environment there. But he told me, he said, "I'm looking at a million dollars." He said, because once they find out you're going to sell it, Wendy's gonna want to get it. McDonald's might want to get it to keep Wendy's out.
Speaker 2:
That's right.
Imam WD Mohammed:
We don't have a Wendy's in the area, but we have most of those other fast food places. So, who knows, it could be a real blessing in disguise. And we do have a brother, very able brother. In fact, he'll be speaking to us tomorrow I believe. He is a well established architect. His work is well known, well established. He have built small and big projects, commercial projects, and he's working with us because of his respect and appreciation for what my father did and what he see me doing. So, he's not working for money, he's working because he believes in what we are doing and he wants to help. Yes. So, you'll hear from him tomorrow. He's going to give a brief presentation I believe tomorrow and soon we'll be able to sell that piece of property. When that piece of property is sold or when any real estate property is sold that belong to CPC. Not a penny of it. We don't have any employment anymore, we don't have any employment. People work for us, they have to get a commission. You don't have a sale, no commission.

They do a work for us, a service, we give them a fee. We pay them a fee based upon what the service is worth, yeah. So, employment can really kill you. It can kill a business, you employing people. Because people, very hard to find persons in the field now who respect work. They're only looking for a paycheck. They have no respect for work and no respect for the people who hire them. No respect for their job. Just pitiful. The workforce has deteriorated so much in America. And don't think it's just us. It's us and the people who used to possess us or own us. Us and the white man, the white American. It's not the Asian, it's not the African. They still have their life, they have their family life, they have their devotions to their family and they have their devotion to work. But this American black man and that white man, oh boy, they ruined.

They are ruined. They're burnt out, burn out. I'm serious. Okay, so let me see if I can hurry up and wrap this up now. We have purchased from what you have, what you just received is total inventory and that represents the total purchase. But I'm going to give you some idea of who we bought. We have even got some products in our inventory that come from Pakistan through our brother Atique Mahmoud. We also have Sarah International products. This is another Pakistani brother who imports a lot. He and his wife, they work hard at their business and their quality is excellent. So, we have beautiful garments. You might see some today, maybe you saw some already. If you saw here in the area, they had two female, what you call those things, two mannequins. Thank you. Thank you. Two female mannequins. You might have seen one of the dresses, outfits from this group here, Sarah International on there. So, we have bought a big quantity of Sarah International Goods, beautiful garments, beautiful styles. And we have some, few clothing items for children, not many, but in the future we'll get more. We are waiting for the right opportunity to do that too.

And some Islamic artifacts from them. Also Malcolm Shabazz Development Corporation. We have brought leisure suits through Malcolm Shabazz Development Corporation also with Imam Pasha as our connection of course. We bought also jewelry from them. And from Turkey. We made a purchase in Turkey of $24,000. We have some beautiful fabric, suit fabric and a few suits, business suits and some very attractive jewelry that we got while we were in Turkey. But the bulk of our inventory has been purchased from China because China is the leader now in producing such materials for the Global market. Also, we have purchased from the Los Angeles area. And I went there some time ago with Brother Rafah, and we went just to explore the area to see what was possible there. And we found a location. We found beautiful garments for ladies. And I brought samples back and gave them to Brother Yahya. And as he said, they came back even looking better.

I'm hoping that this gives you a picture of where we are and how we are progressing. As soon as we sell the land on hundred 59th Street, the money will go directly into CPC and the money will not show or be there for us to spend. It'll only be there for the investors so you will get some dividends pretty soon. Pretty soon, within six months to a year, you're going to see some dividends. You're going to see growth for your investments. Thank you very much. And Inshallah we will have the fashion show start in just a few minutes and we will speak to you more if not today, tomorrow. A big one tomorrow. As Salaam Alaikum.
Brother Rafah:
Well, we hope that you enjoyed the first portion of the program. And Sister Suad, she'll be coming and taking just a few minutes break, washroom break or whatever, and we'll get right back to the business of fashions. But while we're waiting, I'd just like to point your attention to our banners of support and sponsorship. Majid Wali Muhammad, Detroit. Masjid Muhammad Washington DC. USA/H&M Furniture and Appliances, Newark, New Jersey. WD Mohammed Community Center, Chicago. Chicago Muslim Business Association. And Ibrahim Baha Center, Chicago, Illinois. And on this banner, naturally folks, this is the gorilla of the franchise.

Malcolm Shabazz Mosque and all that it entails. So, when you got a healthy sponsorship, then we can do a better convention. And especially when we run away from registration. See, when we run away from registration, we cut off youth programs, we cut off things that seniors might enjoy, and we cut off our growth. And what make it worse than that? We have people crucifying Imam Mohammed's vision right before our eyes. Now what I mean by that? If Imam Mohammed deletes the program that is taxing our pockets too much and we come right back. By the way, how many enjoyed the breakfast yesterday morning at the Sheraton? Well, that was must be G-d's plan because it wasn't our plan. So, it was advertised in the Journal and Sister Ayesha, she deleted hers right away. And it was on the internet inviting the Conventioneers to this $50 per couple and $35 a person. So now that's taking us right back where the Imam is leading us from. And that's disrespect. The leaders that led it is disrespectful and the ones that sold the tickets are disrespectful. So, in the end, somebody going to have to pay.

So, we won't say no more about it right now, but trust me, there's more to come. Because if we going to get where we got to go, we must adhere to the leader. And well, I'll let you all enjoy one another for a while and then we're going to get on down to the business. Thank you for the intermission.

And folks, while are we at it, once the fashion show is done, then we'll take about an hour break before the entertainment starts. So that can give you an opportunity to get, if not a full meal, they have kosher halal products down the hallway for those can afford that. I mean health wise. Now I don't know why we play our workshop, our health workshop small. See we shouldn't do that. Because have you ever watched an Asian person leave this world or anybody for that matter? I mean have you ever had a closeup and what pain can do and what improper medication can do to a person? So, you want to be educated. And here we have some of the finest people that take us to the atom, which is the sound level in the human being. So, I mean we got these kind of qualified educated people and we just play it. And that health issue, I mean when it knocks on your door, it's really something. So, if we want to maintain a good healthy life, then we must adhere to healthy health tips that makes things better for us. So, pay a little attention because our health workshop was by design. And that was by design by Imam WD Mohammed. You know after consultation over a few times and years, he said it's best that we start to educate ourselves on health. Because when you go into the hospice program, it only means you're going to sleep. That's all it means. You go in there to be sophisticatedly put to sleep. You know, rather than die on your auto accord, so to speak.

So, if you can keep your folks out of hospice as long as you can, do that. Because who knows, if they're not in there, they can maybe spring back or something. But once they go down and it goes past the water, sub water and all they can do is talk to you through the eyebrows or eyelashes. And that's a heavy medication or heavy pain pill, whatever it is. But it is something. But I said that to say we do our workshops, our health workshops sometime two or three times a year. Now Memorial Day is planned for Dr. Goff said he would attend the conference. So how many of us this time know Dr. Goff? See we should know people like that because he is the man that supplies us with CKLS. How many of us have been with CKLS? See that? So now we talking about the man that produced... In fact, he's African-American. It is quiet the stuff. California, Compton, California, right in the neighborhood. So, Dr. Goff said he would attend the next conference. And 19th, 20th and 21st as most of us know the Ramadan session. And it will be right upstairs where the Jumu'ah was yesterday led by Imam WD Mohammed here in the Cobo, the Motor City Detroit. And as the Imam said tomorrow it's going to be a beautiful day. And don't worry about it. If you left your glasses at home like I did, that's a big screen. You'll see it all. That's right. So, Sister fashion show lady Sister Suad, anytime you're ready, we are. And is there anyone working with the Sister that's on the floor? Okay, so we'll let this time do for y'all to chit chat one another until she comes. Thank you very kindly.
