WCIW-Parade for Human Dignity

By Imam W. Deen Mohammed

See in us a great sign that the father preached something very different from what his son preached and his son is able to keep his followers. That's a great sign, a great sign. It speaks for the, I would say, special kind of leadership that the Honorable Elijah Muhammad himself offered the people. This morning. I was going through some of the things of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and it's amazing how broad his sayings are when you read them all. One of the things I just read from the book that was little small booklet put out in the time of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad called the Sayings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad says, if you want to talk to G-d, read the Qur'an. I'm telling you, I read that I said this man. He was truly a marvelous man. Said that if you want talk to G-d, read the Qur'an. He didn't say talk to me, didn't say talk to brother so-and-so- and-so, he said, if you want to talk to G-d, read the Qur'an because the Qur'an is the word of G-d. And in the Qur'an, G-d is speaking to us. G-d is speaking to the believers, to the people, whoever will listen and obey. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad say, if you want to talk to G-d, read the Qur'an.

That sentence is so powerful, especially for this day and time. It shines light on what we are doing now. I'm not pointing you to the Honorable Elijah Muhammad for salvation, and I'm not pointing you to myself for salvation. I'm pointing you to this book for salvation. And the Honorable Elijah Muhammad did the same thing, but he just couldn't come out as plainly as I'm coming out because it wasn't time in the history or the events of the Nation of Islam under the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. It wasn't time, but he did the same thing when he said very plainly, if you want to talk to G-d, read the Qur'an. I think that's plain very plainly. Oh, he said so many precious things that we would like keep in our history for all times. Sister Halima, the niece of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, pardon me, granddaughter of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. She came up with a suggestion for the parade. She said, could we have a float to the Honorable Elijah Muhammad in the parade? I said, yes, and I thanked her for coming up with that suggestion. Because I think this parade is ideal for us and for the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad, in the very final days of his mission, he asked us to come into this kind of broad activity that we are coming into now. He asked us to think big, to think in terms of the world now and stop thinking narrow. He asked us to step out in the world and do things with other people and show other people that you are willing to compete with them.

He invited us to come out and compete with the Caucasians for economic gains in this country, for International trade, and to compete with him. And this is something that shot over the heads of most of us. That's why you can't see that I'm a branch and nevertheless a tree too. You can't see it because much of what the Honorable Elijah Muhammad said shot over your head, shot right by your brain. He invited us to compete morally with the Caucasian. He invited us to compete morally with the Caucasians. He said, "You should have civilized manners." He said, "Look at the white man. Look how civilized he is". He called him a dirty devil, the skunk of the planet Earth and still he pointed to him and said, look how civilized he is. Said "Don't let yourself be embarrassed before the white man. Hold up your own dignity before the white man. Hold up your morals." He put heavy emphasis on bodily cleanliness and on decency of manner. Keep up your body, cleanliness of your body, the presentableness of your body, your dress, your clothes, and keep up your manners. He insisted that we greet the white man with respect.

He insisted that we carry the best of manners out into the Caucasian world to show the Caucasians that the people he deprived of civilization had come into good manners, had been brought into good manners. And don't you know we were some of the people on earth with the worst manners. We had some of the worst manners of any people on the face of the earth. Get outside and act worse than we act at home. I've seen people go outside to act bad. Yes. At home they didn't act quite that bad. Get outside, "Hey man, come here sucker. Look at that young girl over there. Hey girl, where you going girl?" Poor girl dressed up, going to church and he hollering at her like that. "Hey girl, don't think about you going to church this morning. You don't have to speak to me. Oh, you sweet little thing you." The Honorable Elijah Muhammad cut that out. No followers of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad would holler at women in the street, insult the dignity of the woman in the street. Wouldn't even holler at each other like that in the street. No, he taught us to quiet down. Don't be so loud, quiet down, don't be boisterous,

Loud and boisterous. Allah says in the Qur'an regarding the advice of Luqman to his son that "The most hated of all voices is the loud, boisterous voice like the braying of a donkey." So dear people, this parade is a very good opportunity for us to bring in the right image of this community and the right image of our late leader, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. I say right image because the race hater is not the right image. Race hater is the wrong image. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad was doing a psychological work. He was not a racist. He was not a race hater. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad hated the deeds of white supremacy and racism, but he himself was not a black supremist and he wasn't a racist. It takes some careful fishing in the waters of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad to bring out exactly what the Honorable Elijah Muhammad was all about. But if you have the sincerity, the innocence yourself, you can fish in the waters of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and you'll find what the Honorable Elijah Muhammad was all about. He had been given a whip from Fard Muhammad, said, "Put this whip on the European and American Caucasian. Put this whip on him."

What is this whip? "Tell them that they are devils by nature. Put that whip on them. Tell them that they didn't come here naturally like people come. Tell them they were grafted. They are unnatural beings. Grafted devils. Put that whip on the Caucasian of Europe and America." The Honorable Elijah Muhammad said, "Thank you Savior. Thank you Savior. This really suits my hearts desire. This is something that I think I can love." He took up that whip and he started whipping Caucasians and he never stopped until he died. He lightened up a little bit, but he never stopped completely. He died with a whip still in his hand. What whip was that? That was Western Caucasian man whip. That was his whip. He's the one who said that the blacks were unnatural, not natural human beings. Subhuman devils, black devils. Yes. See, you don't know that. You know the Caucasian most of you who are my age or maybe younger than me. Most of you are aware that there was a time in this country when the Social Sciences painted us as subhuman, but many of you are not aware that the religion, the theology of the Western Caucasian painted us as the black devil.

When they said that the devil was black, then they left us to be labeled as children of the devil. Cursed Children of the devil. The Cursed Children of the devil. So, see Fard Muhammad, all he did was pick up the same whip that the Caucasian used or the same, I should say the same vial, vial of poison. He picked up the same vial of poison and he just poured it out on the Caucasian. Caucasian poured it out on black folks all over the world. He picked it up and poured it out on so-called white folks all over the world. Same vial, wasn't a new vial, same vial, same idea that G-d have two people. One are inclined to obey Him, another inclined to disobey and challenge Him. The one that disobey and challenge, he eventually creates great evil to take over the world from G-d.

That one is called the black devil in Christian theology. To correct this, Allah brings us the guidance fresh, the Qur'an and complete, and says that "The night is a blessed night in which descends, the Holy Spirit and the angels, obeying every order of G-d." See how in the Qur'an the night that was presented as an environment for demons, wicked spirits, is presented in the Qur'an as an environment for the Holy Spirit and the angels of G-d who obey Him. They don't shirk. They don't step back from any order. Night of Power it's called in the Qur'an. The Night of Power. Then again, G-d through Prophet Muhammad has given us the Ka'aba, a house that represents the center, center focus for all people, all nationalities, all races, all people all around the world who will come and worship G-d. He has given us a Ka'aba there called Ka'aba. It's a square house, a square one room house, and that house is draped in black and the most precious block of stone in that house is called the Black Stone. It is a Black Stone. See how the religion comes back pure and address the problems that blind man and treacherous man bring into the religions. G-d sends His Messenger behind the treacherous, behind the blind ones who fall into trouble unknowingly and behind the treacherous ones who knowingly plot schemes and change the religion. G-d sends the religion back fresh.

G-d never said that black is bad. The night in which the Holy Spirit descends and the angels obeying every errand, obeying every order, carrying out every order. And then He says the stone fell from the sky as a sign to Prophet Abraham where G-d intended for His universal house to be built.

And Prophet Muhammad was missioned even before Prophethood to lead the Chiefs of the tribes in placing that stone back in its proper place. So, the stone that was rejected was put back in its proper place and the stone that has fallen was put back into its proper place. The same thing that fell was rejected. What fell? Human dignity. Human dignity fell and men start worshiping angel dignity. You are not great unless you become angel like. Flesh is sinful. Human being is born in sin. The purest ones are the ones that are closest to the angel nature. So, the priests don't marry the woman. No children, no wife, no children. The priests and the nun, they're closer to G-d than you. To show they're closer, they don't touch any human flesh, don't marry no woman, don't have any children. They devote themselves completely to angel interest and warn you against getting involved in human interest. Be careful, the devil is waiting on you out there. So, Christianity left human dignity and went looking for angel dignity. And G-d says in the Qur'an, "Had this earth been populated with angels, I would've sent you an angel as a Messenger. But since it is populated with mortal human beings, I have sent you a mortal human being as a Messenger." Doesn't that make good sense?

Yes. Well, we just can't pass up light that we need to shine in this world. That's light that needs to shine in this world. You don't know how many people are struggling to worship G-d and to be a kind of religious person they want to be, but can't be it because they're confused. They think to be a real human being is to be a devil. They think to be a human being is to give themselves to the devil. To be a human being is to not to be as G-d want us to be. They think that when they marry they committing in a sin. Yes. "Oh man, don't be outrageous." I'm not outrageous. This society is outrageous. Just have a little patience. You marry under fear because they say you can't have relations out of marriage. So, you marry under fear. You get a license to make it acceptable, to make it legal, make it acceptable in the eyes of G-d and man. Then you take the license and when you get ready to go to bed with each other, you turn out the light and you do the natural act in the dark. I'm talking about the good faithful Christian minded man and woman. "No, wait a minute, we didn't turn off the light yet." The man take all his clothes with his back to his wife and the woman take off her clothes with her back to her husband. They're getting ready with a license to do something shameful.

The mind has been conditioned to think all sex is sinful. Even if you have a license still there's something wrong about it, something dirty, something low about it. Do you know what a knowledgeable Muslim do when he has sex? He says Bismillah and have sex. The woman says Bismillah law and sex. What Christian will say In the Name of G-d and have a sex. "Oh, I can't say In the Name of G-d, connect a prayer with this nasty act. Oh, it's such oh, that man is so nasty. He's a low scum. He's a low scoundrel. Do you know he even pronounced the Name of G-d before he had sex with his wife?"

So, this society has conditioned our mind to see our own nature as sinful, to run away from our nature looking for angel nature. Let me repeat what Allah says in this Qur'an. "If this earth had been populated with angels, I would have sent you an angel as a Messenger since it is populated with human beings, mortal beings, I have sent you a mortal human being as a Messenger." Oh yes. We got a long subject today that we are going to make short. Let's read from the Qur'an concerning the promised and last Messenger of G-d, the last Messenger and the promised Messenger of G-d. I should say the promised and the last Messenger of G-d, the one that everybody looks for, the Jews and the Christians. They look for the coming of this Messenger of G-d, one that would come and would have the light from G-d to show human beings how they are to live in the Mosque and the Church and the Synagogue and in the world.

The rest of the Messengers, they didn't establish how the people were to live in the world. They gave people something of knowledge of how they were to live in the world. But I can show you from scripture and if you had the time, I can prove to you by the Bible that no Prophet, not even Jesus, showed the people how they were to live their religion on the earth completely, how they were to establish their religion on the earth. Jesus said, "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven." He didn't say it was, he didn't say, here it is. He didn't say, I bring your kingdom. It's going to be established on earth as it is in heaven. He said, "our kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." And to prove to you this is the correct interpretation, I'll bring you another quote from the Bible. He said, "The kingdom is within you," meaning that it's not in me, I have to go. He said "It's expedient that I go away for if I go not away, the comforter will not come unto you." The Christian Church, they say this is the Holy Ghost. Let me tell you something buddy. Holy Ghost don't build no politics. Holy Ghost don't build no government. Holy Ghost don't build no economy. Holy Ghost just tell you to do those things.

He was not talking about the Holy Ghost. He was talking about another man, a Prophet man, one with the light from G-d that will enable the people under his leadership to establish that kingdom on earth as the heaven suggest it. Oh yes, the heavens suggest to us that peace should be on earth, that there should be order on earth, the order of men, the order of leadership. The stars don't run over each other. The stars stay in their orbit. Some lights are greater than others. They don't challenge each other for the rule. The moon doesn't challenge the sun for the rule of day and the sun doesn't challenge the moon for the rule of night, and the stars all stay in their place and the heavens look very peaceful, doesn't it? Oh yes, it does it's job and wonders come down from heaven, great forces and a rod of lightning. Oh, there is power up there in the sky. Here comes a whole cloud of rain and we see new life breaking up out of the soil. Oh man, oh man, I'm telling you the sign of G-d, the sign of the kind of heaven He want down here on earth. He wants people orderly, respecting each other in their rights.

He wants people recognizing the one with the greatest vision and all of them revolving around the one with the greater vision. Look how the nine planets revolve around the sun, who has the greater vision for days. And look how the moon follows the earth and revolves around the sun. Won't even leave the earth. Say, "Look, I'm not a planet but I'm too small to compete with this great light that is called sun. So, I choose to stay with you and you take me around the sun." So, the moon choose to stay with the earth and the earth takes the moon around the sun with all of the other eight planets in the solar system, all of them going around the sun. "Oh that sucker want me to revolve around him. I ain't going to revolve around nobody." You don't know how to read the heavens buddy. You don't know what Jesus promised. Jesus promised that there would be a kingdom on this earth one day like the one in heaven, meaning that men will acknowledge the greater knowledge in man, and they will follow the one with the greater knowledge and they will all respect their individual places.

No one will be trying to step out of his place into somebody else's place. Everyone will be satisfied with his own power, with his own dignity, with his own human worth. Each one will man his own post and will not be jumping off his post on another one's post. Yeah. And all together they will make up one beautiful system of peace and order. Wouldn't that be wonderful? Scripture. say "And your seed shall be like the stars." And then Jacobite came along and said, in G-d's, putting himself in G-d's own person, "Your seed shall be as the sands of the seas.". You walk on the sand, they just blend all in as one thing. I don't see any pattern of order in the sand. The sand shows no order. Sand shows no government. The stars show order in government, the sand show just one thing, everything simple and dead, got all spirit and no life. See the sand, get all the water on the beach. "You shall be as the sand on the seashore." Sand on the seashore get all the water but nothing else. So, because it gets all water and nothing else, it's dead. Clean but dead.

So, clean all life is cleaned out, nothing to believe, nothing green growing. That's the sand. You've seen the sand of the seashore. Yeah, well they say that means that the seas shall be many like the grains of sand. Yeah, well you just believe that long as you want. No, it means that it's going to be without order, without government, without structure and without light. What kind of light? Without academic light. For a long time the general masses of the people were kept out of the opportunity to gain knowledge. They weren't allowed even to learn how to read. This was under Christian leadership, without knowledge, without government. Masses is just left with nothing but Puritan religion, Puritan religion, fine brimstone, religion that make you Puritan minded. "Oh, don't do that. G-d will strike you dead." But you kill each other, kill each other, cut each other's throat. Well so much for that. We don't want an order like the sands on the sea. We want an order like the stars in the heavens. They shine light for the dark world and they show that they have been given arrangements, that they have been given positions and arrangements.

The sand shows nothing but that It is cleaned of life, cleaned out of life. That's all it shows. We are told that if we don't have water, we can use sand, right, for washing, do ablution, wudu in Islam. If we don't have water use sand or any clean earth, not just sand any clean earth, but the water is better than the sand, right? For making ablution. And then there's a water even better than the water, ordinary water we make ablution in. It's a better water for ablution. The ordinary ablution is not to be drank. You just wash and the outside and if you put it in, you spit it out, right? You don't drink it. You wash the mouth and spit what you put in out. But there's the well of Zam Zam, a water with more significance in the context of scripture. You wash with that water and you also drink it. It is recommended that you drink it, you wash with it and you put it inside. You drink it, take it internally.

So, what have I made these references to, this discussion on this sand and water for? To tell you this. There's another message here that most of us missed. That promise in the Bible saying your seed shall be as the sand. It means that the spiritual life shall be taken out. See, sand is right by spiritual life, but it can't hold water. The water come on it and it loses the water, right? Yes. It can't hold water and it's right there at the water but can't hold the water. And that's the way the Christian society is. They are right in the spiritual life. They get more spiritual teachings than Jews and Muslims, yes, get more spiritual teachings than Jews and Muslims, but they are like sand. They can't hold any water. Why? Because the life has been taken out, their dead. They have two ways of looking at themselves. They see themselves as the Children of G-d who are trying to be holy angels, and they see themselves on the other side as human beings who have to also live in the flesh. On this side, they think purely rational. They are dry, dead, without life like sand. Purely rational.

They say you can't mix religion with business, can't mix religion with politics, can't mix religion with science. So, in their human logical world, they are dry of the water of spiritual teachings. And in their spiritual world they are drowned and without the earth and fire and air of rational teaching. Can you understand what I'm showing you here? The mind is split and the mind is made to see the entity, the human entity, the human being in two separate entities. On the one side of the margin, I am a flesh and blood human being wanting sex, money, power, et cetera. When I go after my human aspirations, I cannot take with me my spiritual life. I have to keep my spiritual life out of my human aspirations. Or if you want to put it this way, my worldly or social aspirations. Is that right? So, they're like sand that won't hold water. A dry logic that won't even admit the other logic. There's not logic just for flesh and materialism. There's logic also for soul and spiritualism, but they won't admit logic into that part. They only admit logic into the human, so-called human that is not human. That concept of the human is animal. So, they have two concepts of the human being. One is animal, the other one is angel. The animal can't take with him his religious life. Don't mix it with the business, don't bring it into politics, don't mix it into science. Keep those religious ideas out of politics, out of business, out of science. Isn't that true?

Because on this side, you are an animal. Now go to church, take with you the angel. Come on little children, you are a child of G-d. So, you are living two personalities. You are living two personalities. You are living an animal personality on one side and an angel personality on the other side. You go to the church as a child of G-d, as a spirit, as an angel, and you go to work and to school as an animal. Yes. So that's water and sand and they just meeting each other but they can't mix. The water won't hold to the sand and the sand stays dead. You need all the human essence. You need all the human elements in the earth for it to grow. So what does Allah say in this Qur'an? "And He made His man from black stinky earth." Oh baby, He made His man from black smelly earth," not from no dead sand. Made His man from black smelly earth. Oh, I don't like this flesh, it smells. I don't like this musk it smells. I don't like the breath when it doesn't have the dynamint, it smells G-d say, I don't care if it does smell, I'm going to make my Prophet from that smelly man.

Ain't no angel help this world. I have to have a smelly man. But when I get through with him, he will keep himself clean. You won't smell him. He will keep himself clean. And when I breathe into him of My revelation, bow down to him. Oh yes. When I breathe into him of My revelation, submit to his authority. Allah says in this Qur'an, "Obey G-d and obey His Messenger and those placed in the right of authority given the right of authority over you." Who are these? These are human beings. You're not going to pray to no angel Saint Michael. No, no. As long as they're human beings, we'll talk to them and pray to G-d. But once they become something else other than human being, we leave them to G-d. They have no place in our world. Now G-d promised us a Prophet that will bring us the full light, light by which we can live a full life in the world. What does He say in this Qur'an of that Prophet? I read "The unlettered Prophet." In Arabic, Al Rasul al Nabi El Ummi. And the Prophet or Messenger, the Prophet and Messenger that has not been schooled. Tutored or educated by human beings, have no more than natural human common sense. Mother wit.

What does He say of this one? This is the one that He's going to pick whom they find mentioned in their own scriptures, in the Torah and in the Gospel or in the Law and in the Gospel. "For he commands them what is just and forbid them what is evil. He allows them as lawful all that is good and pure and he prohibits them all that is bad and impure. He takes from them the heavy burden and the yokes that are upon them." Yokes signify a people oppressed, a people oppressed. Yokes signify a subject, a subject, servile, slavish people. I continue. "So, it is those who believe in him that honor him and help him and follow the light which is sent down with him," Al Nur, follow the light. Al Nur Ladhee Tunzilaa Ma'a.

And follow the light that is sent down with him. Now the translator here, he could have translated it with it, but he didn't choose to say with it, he said with him. Now, what is this saying to the reader? It is saying that Prophet Muhammad came down with the light. If Prophet Muhammad came down with the light, then how is this? What does the scripture promise the Christians? The Christians are promised that Jesus shall return. When he returns, he shall return in the clouds or riding the clouds of heaven. And he shall descend from the clouds to the earth. Allah is telling us here and in many other places in this Qur'an that the correct understanding of that prophecy is this. The light coming from the clouds, meaning understanding coming out of confused scripture and confusion in the leadership of the religious world. That's the clouds, spiritual confusion. Oh yes. And the prophecy that Jesus himself shall come down to is to be understood in this same connection. This light came down with Prophet Muhammad. The Qur'an came down to him and at the same time he comes down with it. G-d revealed it to him and as G-d say, "He revealed it on his heart."

To his conscience. And he comes down with it. The light comes to him and then he brings the light to the people. The people in this kind of comparison beneath Prophet Muhammad when he becomes Prophet. He's on a high plane of enlightenment, so he has to come down to our low common plane and he comes down with that light that was revealed to him. The light comes down to us, to our low common level and the Prophet who was raised up to that high level has to come down to us, to our low common level. So, they say Jesus coming in the clouds, they're looking for a human being to come out of the clouds, many of them. And it's a shame that many Muslims have been convinced or influenced to believe that Jesus is coming out of the sky. No, no physical man is ever coming out of any sky. What would be the purpose of that? I'm not saying Jesus is not to come back. Certainly, the Qur'an gives us enough understanding on this subject to make us know that Jesus will come back. And a Hadith of Prophet Muhammad also promises that Jesus will return and that he and the Prophet Jesus will be in the judgment. This is promised. Don't you know in Jesus, according to the Bible, two other Prophets appeared. There was not just two, there was three. There was Jesus, Elijah and Moses, Peace be on them. Is that right? Now dear people, look at this.

See, we want understanding. The promise of a kingdom to come is not just an orderly society, it is a society of light. Light is coming. Scripture said "And a city came down out of the sky, a city of light." And the Qur'an says, "And the earth shall shine, shall shine as though it was alight." Light has to come to the whole earth, I mean understanding. So here in this Christian scripture, Jesus is on earth and two other Prophets are with him. Moses and Elijah. And those two Prophets are explained by Jesus according to the Christian New Testament to be in Jesus. Moses and Elijah appeared and they were seen and the disciples saw them and thought that they were supposed to also follow them.

And Jesus explained to them that no, Elijah and Moses are within me, not within my flesh or within my soul, but within my symbolic flesh and my symbolic soul. They are within my knowledge, within my spirit. I have the spirit of Elijah. I have the spirit of Moses and I too, I have been given the knowledge that G-d gave to Moses and the knowledge that G-d gave to Elijah. When you see their light separately and you see their light come together in one body that the Christ's light. I'm giving you New Testament. This is how Jesus explained it according to the New Testament, that their work, their light, their mission, their knowledge, when you see them together in one body that's Christ's mission, his light called a transfiguration. Any preacher here say amen so these people will know that I'm on the right course. Because the preacher knows, he can say amen. This is what I'm getting at. Prophet Muhammad also gave us an expectation. He induced in us an expectation. We expect to see Jesus again. We will see Jesus again. We see Jesus again in that Christ role that Prophet Muhammad himself lived out.

And that role, it will continue in the Mujeddid that are to follow Prophet Muhammad. Yes, that's how the Christ lives. That's how he comes back and he agrees with Prophet Muhammad. Prophet Muhammad the Peace and Blessings be upon him. He said, "And they shall see that we are brothers, that Jesus and I are together." Yes, don't think that G-d is going to dig something up out of the grave or bring something back from the refrigerator upstairs. Say, here is the man I've been keeping on deep freeze in the heavens. You think G-d would do a monstrous thing like that and make us crazy? We'd all go crazy if we saw something like that. Man come down out of the sky with wounds in his hands and his feet. Wounds in his chest, a wound in his chest still bleeding after 2000 years. And he comes slowly creeping down out of the sky from the clouds. Most of the people, we wouldn't have the saneness of mind to even get what's to come after that. That will kill the whole show. The whole show will be killed by that. Yeah, everybody be stoned nuts. G-d is not a Walt Disney. He's G-d.
Time is marching on and I hope to march on too. Let's look again at the Qur'an, Qur'anic teaching. We want to understand religion and believe me, whether you're Christian, Muslim, Jew, I don't care what you are. When you come under Islamic lecture or Islamic discussion, you are going to be enlightened. Not only you, the one who teaches you, he will be enlightened as he teaches you. No teacher can be safe from education while he's given Islamic education. He's going to be educated too because this knowledge is so much above our minds. It's so broader and bigger than our human concept, human vision that even the teachers being educated while he's teaching. Oh yes, this is true of most sincere people though. If a sincere person take up any subject, G-d will bless him with understanding as he delivers his material. That's the blessing of G-d. But with this book it's so full of light, the moment it touches you, understanding instantly comes into the mind. If you are sincere. And if you're not sincere, you can't touch it. Oh no. If you're not sincere, you can't touch this book. You'll do this and "Oh, oh, I can't see it." You can't touch it.

We don't have to worry about that. "Oh man, the printer printed that book." He didn't touch it unless he was a good Muslim, sincere. "Where'd he get the paper from?" He didn't touch it. Don't worry. He didn't touch it unless he was sincere. "Who shipped it?" He didn't touch it either, unless he was sincere. And I can give it to you right now and you can't touch it either unless you're sincere. I don't want no fool coming up here and touching the book now you just stay back. You can touch cardboard and paper. I know you can do that. You can touch cardboard, paper and ink. You can do that, but you can't touch the Qur'an. Qur'an means: That that is to be read. You cannot touch the reading, you can touch the ink, but you can't touch the reading. G-d says in a parable to us in the Qur'an, "See how watered plants come up different from each other, inferior and superior to each other?" Some with inferior quality, some with superior quality, all watered by one and the same water. Dear people, we have to recognize that all human beings are not the same.

Never have been, never will be. Each one of us are free to earn reward from Allah. Some of us are not as interested in pleasing Allah as others. Some are more selfish. They grow into thorns, crab grass. Others are more inclined to G-d and are less selfish. They want to help others as well as themselves. They grow into something beautiful attracted to all people. G-d says that He water the earth with one water and plants will come up different from each other in quality and in worth. Again, dear people, look at our human aspirations, how all of us have something that we want.

But some of us are so selfish in our aspirations that we grow inhumanly instead of humanly. So, G-d, He has to tell us what is our own aspiration. That's what we have to realize. That G-d, He feeds us the life for the spirit as well as the life for the flesh. He feeds us and we have to understand also that it is Almighty, the Almighty creator Himself. He is the one who enlightens us. We don't enlighten ourself. Einstein didn't make himself the successful scientist. Louis Pasteur and none of the rest made themselves the successful scientists that they were.

It was because of the blessing of G-d that they became the successful scientists they were. They were given a brain. Their interest, their brain was a gift of G-d, health of it, a gift of G-d. The interest was a gift of G-d. They had to have an interest. They got the brain, no interest, nothing happening. You have to have interest. The drive was a gift of G-d. Interest, no drive, nothing happened. And then G-d comes and aid all that and make accidents happen to show the scientists something he couldn't find scientifically. How many great discoveries we have heard and the report says "No, I wasn't after that. I was after something else. I ran upon this by accident." Look at the penicillin that helped the health problem so much. The man who discovered penicillin, he tells us how he found it. He said he had an experiment. He was trying to discover something or invent something pardon me, to kill certain bacteria. It so happened that he left his lunch on the window sill above his experiment. And like scientists, they get so involved, engrossed in their work that they forget themselves. He forgot his sandwich. Mold grew on the bread. One day, a breeze in the window blew the mold off his bread into his experiment. He came to test the germs and he found that the germs were dead.

He then had to find out how come they are dead. I didn't do it. How come these germs are dead? This is the man that discovered penicillin. He looked and he found the answer. He saw that the bread was molded in the window and he saw that the stuff he had found in his experiment was mold that had blown off the bread into his experiment. Then he created a bacteria like the bread mold and that's how we got penicillin. So actually who gave us penicillin? Allah gave us penicillin. Yes, Allah gave us penicillin. And who was the messenger of his gift, receiving his gift for us? The man who brought, the doctor, the scientist who gets the credit for giving us the penicillin. Yeah, Allah says in the Qur'an that He is the Creator of all of the Worlds. All the Worlds says He is the Creator of all the Worlds, the Creator of everything. Now listen. He says when the question is asked in the Qur'an, "Oh, how is this going to happen G-d. How are you going to give us a child and my wife is beyond the age of bearing?

"Oh G-d, I'm not an unfaithful woman. How am I going to have a lad, a young man, this Christ child, Prophet, and no man has touched me." G-d says He creates what He will. He creates what He will. Didn't say He has a marriage when He pleases. He does not marry. This Immaculate Conception is a miracle of creation, not a miracle of some kind of sexual concept.

He says He creates what He wills. Oh, my goodness, I wish you could enjoy this like me. He creates what He wills. Oh yes. See the act of creation as we originally conceived the act of creation, is a mystery. Man can make but man can't create. Man's creation is really a creation from what G-d has already produced. We use the term creation, but when we think of G-d, we don't see G-d as a Creator in any human sense. When we say G-d created the sun, we mean we don't know how He did it. How did that get there man? G-d created it. We mean we don't know how it happened. But G-d did it. So, G-d says He created Adam from dust. G-d says He created the sun and the moon and everything. And G-d said He created John the Baptist and Jesus. And He also created the miracle that brought us the penicillin. Abraham asks a question, and look how beautiful this is. He says to clear himself before G-d and man. He says in words, "Not that my faith is weak G-d, but so my soul will be quiet just to rest my soul. Tell me how you going to raise the dead."

G-d, I believe in you. My faith is solid. I ain't asking this question as a non-believer G-d, but just so my curious mind, my curious soul, just so it'll rest. This is a thing that appeals to the curiosity of my soul. My soul wrestles with this, excuse me, wrestles with this mystery. Please. So, my soul will rest G-d, tell me, how are you going to raise people that die in the earth, go back into the ground, meat go off their bones and their bones turn to dust. Oh, if they be dust or something harder to raise, I will raise them. G-d, how are you going to raise the dead? "Abraham train four birds, take them and put them on four mountains and then call them to you. They'll come." Oh my goodness, how wonderful the script is. Then the man is looking for a Qibla. He wants a Ka'aba. He wants a universal of shrine. He wants a center of focus for all people as a political aspiration, a human aspiration, a total symbol that serves the aspirations of human beings. I have established one. Oh Muhammad, I'm going to rest your soul.

Turn your eyes now I'm going to show you a Qibla. I'm going to show you a center that your heart will be pleased with. Turn your eyes now to the first Qibla, to the first shrine that I established, the one at Becca now called Mecca. Look now at that simple four room, one room house, pardon me, that simple one room house with four walls, four corners. That's the Qibla I want you to turn to. Oh yes, put four birds on four mountains. If you have trained them, when you call them, they're going to come to you. Oh yes, G-d putting the questions in the mouth of the Prophet. Prophet can't ask those questions like that. The very question is revelation. That's how come it's in the book. My G-d, I feel like taking a float again, gone up in the sky. Dear people, look how the Qur'an addressed the confusion and mystery that the Bible left on the world. The Bible says in Genesis that four rivers went out from the garden and became heads. Oh yes. And the Revelation, the last part of the book said, "And a city came down from the heavens." And just this preceding this revelation, the book says, "And four creatures went up from the earth."

Four creatures went up from the earth, all talking about human aspirations. What are our aspirations? We need to learn from G-d. What are the human aspirations? The human being, he wants to satisfy the desire for worship, the worship of G-d. He also wants to satisfy his desire to be at peace with his fellow man with other human beings. He also wants to regulate his material life, so that everybody will get their fair share of the material blessing. Oh yes. He also wants understanding. He wants to elevate his own intellect, higher and higher into greater fields of understanding until he can really feel at home or rested with the knowledge that he's grappling or grappling with. Aren't these the aspirations of human beings? Yes. These are the aspirations of all human beings. All human beings have a spiritual curiosity. All human beings are looking for spiritual logic. All human beings are looking for material logic that will regulate their world and bring justice to the material world. Is that right? All human beings are looking for rational logic. They want to have logic, the light of logic in their institutions of learning. Oh yes.

So, the human beings have these four fundamental basic aspirations. Off of them branch many others. Many aspirations or desires and interests spring off from those. But essentially we have four. Man wants to know his flesh. Man wants to know his spirit. Man want to know knowledge, man wants to know his G-d. Is that right? Yes. These curiosities are in us. I want to know my spirit. I want to know my flesh. I want to know my G-d, and I want to know how to structure life in this world. Therefore, I have to know science.

Yes. Where does that knowledge come from, in what symbol do we find that curiosity? It is only in the human being. You won't find it in a stone. You won't find it in a tree. You won't find it in an angel. The angel don't want no four cornered house. You find it only in the human being. It is the human being that wants those four things or four essential things. And all from them spring many other interests. His interest multiplies, multiplies, multiplies. Oh yes. Dear people, the scripture says, "Lift me up and I will raise all men unto me." Is that right? Well, let's put it another way. Lift what is essentially and what is wholly a human being. Lift up what is essentially and what is wholly a human being. Lift that up as human aspiration. Lift that up to attract the human desire, the human ambition, and you will bring all men up to that. What I'm saying, you don't have to lift Jesus Christ, the son of G-d up. Lift Jesus, Jesus Christ, the son of man up. Lift the son of the human being up, the son of a natural human being up, lift the son of man up.

Lift him up in his full glory, lift him up in his full aspirations and all other human beings will be lift up unto him because all of us are just as he is. We all have one common human essence, one common human essence, one common human aspiration. Our aspirations are the same, our nature are the same. Is that right? Everyone knows that nature for the human being is the same universally.

When the human being is given the freedom to pursue his own aspirations, you'll find that human aspirations are also universal, universal everywhere on this earth. I don't care. You can go to Communist China, you can go to Moscow everywhere on this earth. To Cuba, you can go anywhere on this earth, Go to the Vatican, Rome, Italy, and you'll find that even the Pope angels having them, these same curiosities, same essential curiosity. Want to know the flesh, want to know the spirit, want to worship something. And that is G-d. Human being will never be satisfied worshipping anything that it can see itself above. Human being, once he see himself above the thing he worship, he puts down that thing he's worshiping. And this innate, this inborn desire for worship, any human being leads him eventually to the concept of G-d. He won't settle for anything second or under G-d, he eventually comes home and he worship G-d. Oh yes. Is this important to you? People, this is more important to you than your high school education, more important to you than your college education. I don't care if you are a sociologist. I don't care if your field is political science or political psychology. I don't care what your field is. If you don't have this simple concept of man and his needs, his human needs. These aspirations are essential, natural needs. G-d says in this Qur'an that He created the earth and gave everything his needs in four periods, in four periods.

Gave everything its rizq, its provision or its needs in four periods. Meaning that this is not only the human being aspiration, the human being is the one to fulfill this. But a dog also wants to know his flesh. A dog also wants to know his spirit. A dog also want to worship something bigger than he is. A dog also want to be trained. He want knowledge. That's in the animal, that's in the human being. Not only that, the earth too want to know his flesh, the earth too, want to know her spirit. The earth too want to evolve to higher planes of light. Oh yes. "Oh, Mr, this is too complicated for me." No, it's too complicated for that artificial you. Come back to the natural you and it's simple, baby. Oh yes. Look, where do you think the earth is going? The earth is going to you. So, if you were once earth, then the earth wanted you. And if the earth wanted you, it wanted knowledge. It wanted to worship of G-d. It wanted to master its own material body. Yes. Stay with us baby. Look here. Look, let me give it to you right in the pillars of Al Islam.

Salat, Zakat, Saum or fasting, Hajj. Isn't that wonderful? One other is the central piece for all of that. "La Ilaha Il Allah, Muhammadan Rasul Allah. How are you going to get to Hajj? You've got to say, La Ilaha Il Allah, Muhammadan Rasul Allah. You've got to make Salat. You've got the fast Ramadan, you've got to pay Zakat. And then the last thing you have to do, make Hajj. Is that right? Make Hajj. So here we find all of these essential needs in the human being. Actually they're essentially four. But G-d is telling us that once we have done His job, He needs nothing from us. We need everything from Him. So, if we do His job, if we do what He asks of us, then we will have our whole society established intact, providing all that we need in this life, all that we need in this human life. The worship of G-d, which is acted out in prayer. That's the very beginning of it. Man prays to G-d as an expression of his devotion to G-d. Then he finds that his flesh is at war with his spirit or his soul. Because of confusion, his mind misinterprets and his mind places burdens on his flesh that his flesh was not made to carry.

Then his flesh began to rebel, began to speak out against the unnatural burden that the man's mind in darkness or in confusion put on the flesh. So now his flesh becomes a torment for him. Then the man says, I have led my flesh to become an enemy to me. I'm going to lead my flesh back to its normal natural life. He does this by restraining the appetites of the flesh. Flesh say I want some water. Say yeah, I know. You've been wanting a lot of things that you shouldn't have. I've let you go too far. I have encouraged you to take too much on yourself. Say no, no water until the sun sets. This is G-d's Ramadan. But can I have just a piece of bread? No. Well, can I have some sex? No. Can I just have a sexy kiss? No, just rest until I say it's time. Flesh say, okay, if you can put up with it, I can. Say, after all, it wasn't my problem to start with, it was yours.

So here go the soul, the spirit. "Oh Allah, please give me strength to go through Ramadan." Spirit is pleading to G-d for help. Flesh say I can make it if you can. Call on G-d to get help too, G-d give him help too If he sincere. He forget he's hungry. And if he forgets, the stomach forgets. The more he forget, the more the stomach forget. After a while, the stomach doesn't even remind him no more. Say, "Well buddy, you passed the test. Just like your extremism led me to become a problem for you, your extremism in the obedience to Allah have led me to become myself again. I don't bother you no more." Isn't this beautiful and wonderful? Yes, that man is born natural. G-d made us right. Good. But we with our foolish minds go to extremes And G-d say guard against the extremes. Allah tell us over and over again in the Qur'an, protect yourself against the extremes. We go to extremes. We lead the flesh to extremes. We give the flesh a appetite bigger than it had by nature. It never had an appetite that big by nature. We give it an appetite bigger than it had by nature.

Now it wants milk, bread, fruit, oysters, steaks, chicken, grapes, watermelon and apples, nuts of about 10 or 15 varieties. Cooked meat and raw meat. Caviar, unborn octopus. Snail, white rats cooked in the finest French ovens. Ants, grasshoppers. And then some things you can't eat, they produce the flavor for it. Yes, kerosene tasting liquid. Toe jam smelling cheese. You ain't supposed to eat toe jam. So, they go and produce a cheese that smells just like toe jam. Now you'll keep going with this until it'll get too bad, it gets too far. But you get carried the rest of the way with your imagination. See how the man reduces himself. G-d says He made us in the most excellent form. He's given us the excellence. And he who watches over the cultivation of his spirit or his soul, he rises into success, higher and higher achievement. But he who neglect it, fall to the lowest of the low, become debased and despised. G-d says that He has made the man for excellence, made him in the most excellent mold, but consequently he's reduced to the lowest of the low because of his own foolishness, going to extremes. So it's good dear people, to let G-d shine the light on your own machinery and show you how you operate, what your aspirations are, where you want to go by nature. Limit your freedom. G-d give us freedom, we can take it. But man, he find that he can't manage as much freedom as G-d gave him. Then he comes back to G-d and say, "Oh G-d, I can't manage all the freedom you gave me." Say "Please will you take charge and show me how I have to manage all this freedom." G-d says, "Come. Oh, so also pleasing and well pleased. Enter you My paradise." Since you didn't seek your own pleasure, you gave up seeking your own pleasure and you decided to come to Me so that I will show you, guide you to your pleasure. Now I'm going to really make you pleased and you're pleasing Me. And that paradise, that concept of the perfect utopian life that you wanted, come on into it. You found the door. The door is pleasing Me. Oh yes. "Lift Me up and I'll draw all men unto Me." This statement is not in the Qur'an, but nevertheless it is there. Not this statement, but the correction is there.

G-d says, "Your death and your resurrection is as one soul." Your death and your resurrection is as one soul. Just raise one human being up. If G-d raised one human being up and establish that human being as the model human being. And if that human being is a symbol of the natural aspirations of all human beings, free of racism, free of blind nationalism, free of selfishness and prejudices and all the other evils. Not desiring mastery or supremacy or any corruption in the land, as Allah says in His Qur'an. If that one human being is sent as a model and is shown to the world that he represents the aspiration, the universal aspirations of all people. If that human being is lifted up, meaning if we accept him in the position of authority as leader for other human beings, then all of us will gravitate toward his leadership. And in so doing, we all will rise up with him. Oh yes, your death and your resurrection is as one soul. It only take one person to become wicked. One person becomes corrupt and he will work and scheme. If he pursue it and stick to it, persevere, pursue his wickedness, eventually he's going draw other people to him. Pretty soon he get enough power to enforce his own wicked rule on others And the whole society, the whole world dies because one devil took the lead and led the world down to doom. G-d raises up one Prophet or one good man is inspired and that one good citizen show the people his excellence, he begin to quicken the same kind of good soul and good aspirations in other people. And pretty soon a company is built, a congregation is built and it begins to grow and its influences begin to spread. And in time that one man can lift the whole society up again. So the world is destroyed because of one individual going bad and the world is saved because of one individual going back to his natural goodness.

Yes. Dear people, we are going to have a parade. It's a parade that we started, but we started it with the desire to see it grow too big for us to hold it. Our desire from the very start was to see this parade being shared and possessed by all the people of Chicago. I didn't know it was coming just three years. Here is nothing but the third year. In fact, just two years, a little better than two years. The third parade now has become a parade for Chicago. It's not a WCIW parade. This is Chicago's parade and Mr. Ben Branch says this concept is too big for Chicago. He says it's going to grow out of Chicago until it become a United States parade. It is going to become a parade for all the people of the United States. A parade that call people to come back to what they are essentially by nature and to support what is the aspirations of every human being by nature. We are not coming out with any banner thing down with the KKK. We are not going to attack any political figures. We are not going to attack the male for his chauvinism. We're just going to let the focus come on the natural human being and his aspirations.

Show the human being his universal aspiration. Show him separated now from his natural appetite. Show him sitting at the four corner table with all the people of the world dining on the universal food. Say, oh, what you eating? I've eating something from four owners of the table. I'm eating something that was prepared in four periods when the earth was made. Oh, have you gone back that far? Yes. I've gone back to the beginning when the earth was made and I'm eating from the four corners of the table. See, the Holy Prophet, he never would eat from the center of a place. The Holy Prophet Muhammad, he never would eat from the center of the plate. When you brought him food, he would always eat from the edge and work his way into the center. Why? Because the walls must be conquered first baby. And then we will live in the living room. Oh yeah. First we got to eat up the walls. Let's eat from the four walls, eat from the four corners of the plate. Now dear people, our theme for this parade is a theme that the champion Muhammad Ali has taken up himself.

Human dignity and justice. Actually, they are one and the same. You can't have anything but justice when you are respecting what is distinctly and naturally human dignity. In fact, human dignity is the pattern for weaving ourselves into justice. Oh yes, you want to have justice, respect human dignity. But you can't respect human dignity until you know what is naturally human and what is naturally human aspirations. G-d has revealed that to us. I don't like to ask people to support me, but I have to because I know people ain't never got together and accomplished anything worthwhile without leadership. Ain't nothing ever been accomplished worthwhile without leadership. Dear people, we have to accept someone as authority over all of us. We have to let someone lead us in the walk, lead us in the road. And I know it is the happiness of my own people called Bilalians to accept me as their leader and follow me in the road. I know that. I just wish you all could see that you'll never be home until you walk in that direction behind Imam WD Mohammed. If we can see what a leader represents, our human selfishness wouldn't be a problem.

A leader if he is true to his role, he represents what you want. He represents what is best in your own desires. He's not to represent what is worst in your desires. He's not going after the bad things you might want. He represents the best of what you aspire to if he's a good leader. So, you shouldn't envy the leader. You shouldn't feel inferior because you walk behind him. You are walking behind the best of yourself. Yes, I'd look like a complete fool if I asked you to follow me and me was Wallace D Mohammed. No. The me I asked you to follow is the high moral standard that G-d has established in this book. The solid, perfect logic that G-d has established in this book. The beautiful society that G-d has given us in this book. That's what I asked you to follow. I asked you to follow the best of yourself and G-d has revealed the best of yourself through Prophet Muhammad who was the best example for all of us. In this day of confused ideas, when people say freedom and confuse it with something else. Confused freedom with permissiveness, with wildness, with anarchy. In this day of confused meaning a man has to be a psychiatrist, a psychologist, a powerful psychiatrist to lead a people. Yes.

He has to be a Moses and an Aaron with modern day psychology because the people, they have been preconditioned to reject salvation, to reject solid achievement, to question solid plans for achievement. You have been conditioned to question everything that doesn't let you take the lead. Say he wants a parade. Who's going to lead it, who's organizing it, what its for? Yeah, so you have to then go into a therapeutic session with that person for hours and days before they join the parade. You have to undo what the society has done to that psyche. You have to understand this. The society doesn't ask for your rational support. The society asks that only from a few select people. The society doesn't ask rational support from the general masses. You have to understand that. So, society is not building rational, rational knowledge or rational independence in you. That's not the object of free society. The object of free society is to undermine your individual logic, your individual rational ability. That's the object of free society. It is to undermine your independent logical ability so that you'll be open for its exploitive influences. The society want from the masses blind obedience.

By blind obedience, you are obeying and you don't know you obeying. That's what I mean by blind obedience. You are obeying but you don't know you are obeying. The society wants you to buy every cheap product they put on the market when they have a need to sell it. So they have to appeal to your ignorance, to your blind appetite to get you to buy blindly. The society wants you to join any cause if it is contributing to their success. It serves expedience. And now they're faced with this problem, this is the immediate problem, okay? The Arabs, they got the oil, they're selling it to us and they want this big dollar for it. Maybe one day they will want to condition your mind to allow them, your leaders, your government to go there and invade, occupy Arabia and take over their oil. If they encourage structured rationale or structured reasoning or structured logic in your makeup, you won't be susceptible to their call when they say, come, let's destroy Arabia. It is against, I repeat. It is against the order of a free society in the sense that we are free for them to structure an individuals logical strength, rational ability.

They have to keep you sentimental. They have to keep you emotional, sentimental. They have to keep you sensuous, sensual. They have to keep you sexy. They have to give your power to sex, to sentimentality, to sentimental love, sentimental logic, sentimental devotion. They have to give you to emotional rages because they might need you to give support to something that is inhuman and unjust. They might need you to buy things that are cruel to sell, to even be sold to human beings. They might need you to give support to mini, pardon me, bikini strap dress for next year. If material gets too short, ain't enough material to make dresses for all Americans, this mind, this materialistic mind that dominates the White House and the whole Americans society. It will say, make it shorter. Make it shorter. Pretty soon they'll have us coming out in jockey straps and the women coming out in bikinis and they'll have us all feeling that we are well dressed. Yes, we will go to the President's Inauguration in jockey straps, in bikinis and we'll feel completely dressed because they would have operated on our appetite long enough and on our shyness long enough to kill the shyness and feed the appetite and make us accept that thing. And they do that because we don't have any independent freedom to choose logically what we want to have as our own minds.

I'm giving it to you plain and clear. The government knows it, the wise ones in government. They know what I'm saying is the truth. There was a time when a man saying what I'm saying, he wouldn't live two or three days. But because it's a world that's worn down, the battery has run out and they ain't making no more batteries like that. It's looking for new juice to live on. So, while it's waiting for some new juice that it can live on, it has to tolerate this. But believe me, if they ever see the light of day, if they see a crooked way out of this situation that G-d has produced, believe me, they will get me right away off the planet. They'll get me out of your face right away. But that won't happen because G-d don't let a man like me come until the time is right. No, no. G-d never let a man like me come. I repeat it. G-d never let a man like me come on the scene until the time is right. I don't know whether you can take it or not. I'm not a religious enthusiast. I'm not someone that's vying for some political position. I don't see no role for me.

I don't dream of being a Castro or a Dr. King or Honorable Elijah Muhammad. I don't see no role for me. What I'm trying to tell you is that I didn't make myself and the world didn't make me. G-d made me. And when He make you its on time. You have nothing to worry about, nothing to fear, do your job. And that means you. Because once you hear what I say and you see it and accept it, you become me. And you are obligated as I am. We all become one in this mission. And if you move out courageously as I do, G-d will protect you just as he protect me. It ain't 187 pound Wallace that He chose. It's the spirit of obedience and sincerity, innocence. If you have that, He choose you just as well as He choose me. Oh yeah. So dear people, this is a sure thing. You'll be surprised. You look at yourself now and you see a few hundred people in here and you might think that this is our strength. No, indeed. There are thousands and hundreds of thousands of people in Chicago that already belong to this mission.

They belong to this mission. When the final call, they shall be there. Oh yes. Don't worry. In G-d's own good time, He's going to complete for them the picture that has been completed for you. And then you'll find them standing all outside of the wall, all in the Stoney Island Street, all behind us. All around for blocks and blocks there'll be people and we'll have loud speakers on top of the building speaking to people from blocks and blocks around. You'll say, "How did all those people come all of a sudden like this?" They put four birds on four mountains, call them, they come. This is a message that takes to the air like the bird. You think that it's only here? No, it's going out in the air. You go out with the spirit on you and you take it 10 blocks from here. Some of you take it 10 miles from here. Some of you might be 200 miles or 2000 miles from here next month or next year. And it's going over the radio, and it's going through the Bilalian News. And the people are feeling it by Melchizedek power. Oh yes.

Way across the continent, they're feeling right now what is throbbing in you, and they don't know what it is. But they realize that something is happening in the spiritual atmosphere of human mates. "Oh, I don't know what it is, but something is happening in the spiritual atmosphere of the human soul. And I don't want these clothes on anymore." Say, "Here, take this Superfly dress back. I don't want it."

Somebody way over there about 50, a hundred miles away that didn't even hear the lecture today. He felt the lecture. He don't know what's doing it. Say, I don't want be Sherwood Forest tights on. They get up, say, "I can't go outside. I have a whole wardrobe of Sherwood Forest tights in psychedelic colors. I got a new mind today. I don't know what happened, but I just don't think the same." Say, "Will you go to the store for me please? I got to stay in the house until you come back. Get me a pair of blue jeans with plenty of room in the legs. And get me a work shirt. The kind that the carpenter wear." What I'm telling you is that G-d can reach us by methods and means that are beyond our human grasp. And that the human being has an inborn sensitivity. He doesn't have to hear what I'm saying, but this is of concern to him. His very soul has been looking for what I'm saying today. His ears don't hear it, but way across the continent, his soul feels what I'm saying to you today. And the moment he gets a call and see the full picture of what this is, he'll come and don't even know why he's coming. He come because it's natural for him. He has been trained by nature. G-d made him that way. Say, Hey, where you flying bird?"

Hey, where you flying bird? Say, I'm going to the Mosque. Say, what is the Mosque? I don't know. All I know it's in that direction. Yeah. Run into another bird. Say, where are you going bird? I'm going to the Mosque. What is that? I don't know. All I know is something drawing my soul to that direction. Oh yes. When the season come, you'll see the plants begin to come up out of the ground. Yes. Have no fear. Have no doubt. This is our day. When you see this mission people, it demands of you as it demands of me. It demands that you usher it in. The total concept usher is power. Keep pushing it forward into the vision of the people. You can't be satisfied with the people just seeing part of it. You just keep pushing it into their eyes closer to their vision. You ain't satisfied until they see the total concept of Al Islam. Oh yes. I hope I can wind this up in a few minutes. Dear people, it has been a little over three years, about four years in fact. Going on five years, pardon me, that I have been serving you as your leader.

We've had some hell of a times. I stood up here talking to you and looked like a nun. Not a single one of you heard a word I was saying. But All praise is due to the Creator who has put the sun and the moon in the sky. You came around. You had patience with me until I brought clear to you before your own eyes what my leadership is. And I had patience with your Yakub mentality, to stay with you until you see what it is. Now I am convinced that the great majority of Muslims belonging to the World Community of Islam in the West and many others that are influenced by us but are not directly under this wall, under this roof, are under our rule. I'm confessed that the great majority of the Muslims in America now are ready. We are ready now to get out of the sea and step on the land. We are ready now to get on the land and build a community that satisfy the total aspirations of the human being. We are ready now to call you with equal emphasis. We are ready to call you with equal emphasis on moral development, social development, material development, academic development, political development. We are ready to call you to all the human aspirations now with equal emphasis on them because they all are equally important in the lifting of human society. Yes, but we had to regroup our strength. We had to prune the tree again, knock off the dead branches, get the rocks out of the tree. We had to bring back in the fresh light, put new vision in the eyes, bring the people's focus back to G-d, respect for G-d. Allah is number one. Respect for Him, obedience to His Prophet, obedience to the demands of our religion is number one. We had lost that. We had a group of Ministers in some areas of the United States, the majority were really people of the world. They were not Ministers. Even in Chicago we had hypocrites. When I say hypocrites, I don't mean somebody plotting to overthrow the leadership. I mean somebody plotting to overthrow your moral life, plotting to overthrow your devotion to G-d. We had hypocrites here who were standing on the pulpit pretending to be Ministers in religion, but they were plotting to overthrow your allegiance to moral development, your allegiance to G-d. They feared anybody that was a devoted follower of Almighty G-d. They feared a person that wanted moral excellence.

You troubled them. We were getting the name for being a Black Mafia. Had people robbing banks, selling narcotics, prostituting our women. Do you think I could have come in at that time and told you, yes, we do need businesses. We do need money. You couldn't have heard anything else because your mind had been tuned to hear nothing but money. So, I had to talk to you on just developing again, respect, reverence for G-d, respect for Allah and the proper spiritual and human development. But now after all of these years, four years and a little better, I'm satisfied that the mind has come back home. You have come back home to respect for Allah. You've come back home to respect for everything that comes from Allah. You respect Allah, you respect His Prophet. You respect leadership that is under G-d. You don't listen to a Minister now to hear him tell you how super you are. You are not open to be exploited that way anymore. You are not slaves of that type anymore. I don't have to come here and tell you, you a black G-d, black G-ddesses, that your great ancestor was born before the sun, moon and stars. And he never was anything but a physical human being. He had some way of walking in empty space before the sun moon and stars. I don't have to weigh your mind with that kind of mystery, fantastic lie. No, I don't have to give you a false sense of supremacy or a false sense of achievement of human worth. No, because you are looking to please G-d now. You're not looking to build yourself up as some deity. So now we are ready to get back into the world. See, when your mind is weak for the world, you need to stay out of the world. But once your mind becomes strong enough to resist the world and still hold to G-d in what He wants, you can go back in the world. Oh yes, G-d made His man out of the earth. He called the water to rain down for him, but He made His man out of the earth. Is that right? Yes. So, G-d want us on the earth. In the Bible, Jonah was called to a mission. He went out and sailed the water. G-d forced him to go back to the land. So, we want to go back to the land. We know that's where G-d want us. Life begins in the water.

Isn't that what we are told? All life begins in the water. The Holy Qur'an says all life began in the water. And science says all life began in the water. You cannot have life without the water, but we are not to stay in the water. Although there are some plants that can live and survive just in water, but they never become too strong. There's the lotus and the water Lily. The lotus takes life and rises up on the surface of the water and grow there hanging in the water. No land, nothing but water. It can live. But look at plant life. The lotus doesn't represent the full development for plant life. There are other plant life with more stronger and more complex development. Is that right? But nevertheless, you can live there. The Church is like Lotus Plant life. They survive in the water, but they'll be much stronger if they follow the Muslims to the land. So dear people, we are going all the way until we have that model society that was given to us in the leadership of Prophet Muhammad, Peace and Blessings be Upon him because he was sent to show us what G-d had promised generations before.

He came to show what is the final goal of life on this earth. Kingdom on the earth like that in heaven. So dear people, we have land and we want to do with land what our religion requires of us. Our religion requires that we use our material assets to the benefit of the majority in our society. They can't be used to benefit a minority. They must be used for the good of the majority. This is Al Islam. "Oh, that sounds like Communism." Well, we are not a commune. We are a community. Little different. The difference is G-d is in ours, so ours are more humanly regulated, but nevertheless it's a Socialist concept. Socialist concept means human concept. They corrupt the term, but really in its true meaning Socialist means human. It means according to human, natural human grouping and needs. According to what is demanded of the human as a social creature, as a grouping creature, a creature that can't live by himself. He has to live with others. G-d first give us the family grouping and then He give us the neighborhood and community and national grouping and eventually the universal grouping. Is that right? So, by nature we are given to this kind of human grouping. Al Islam respects this basic nature in human beings and it require that we manage our affairs, our needs, our possessions, with respect for this grouping, for this grouping. Altogether, we make up one group called the community. So, my family can't be given any special treatment over your family because we are not looking at family grouping. We are looking at that community group. You as an individual, you can't be given any preference. The group has to be given the preference. What is best for the total group. That's what we must do. If that means sitting down WD Mohammed and putting up Brother John, Brother Rafah or somebody else, that's what we have to do. If that means cutting WD Mohammed's salary in half to give justice to the group, that's what we have to do. This is Al Islam, but nevertheless it's Socialist. Now let me tell you something. The Socialism or the social emphasis, or principle, pardon me, in the influence of society has been constantly growing in America. It has had its temporary setback, but it has been constantly growing in America. President Delanor Roosevelt, President Truman, President Kennedy, President Johnson, and now President Carter and also Ford. Also Republican. I point at the Republicans, but some of them too do had to bring in social reform. They have had to respect the need for America to grow and to greater, greater and greater respect for total group, what the total group needs, what the total group needs and demands of this nation. They've had to grow more and more into respect for that. I hear now that President Carter has a health insurance program that's going to make it much easier for the common people to get healthcare in the hospital. This is what they call Socialist program.

America is moving towards socialized medicine. Is this against Al Islam? No, it's not against Al Islam. A lot of third world countries already are where Americas trying to get. A lot of those weaker countries, materially and weaker in many other respects. A lot of those so-called inferior Third world developing countries have begun socializing things so that more justice is given to the general population. They are far ahead in the road of progress in America. And they're not Communists. They're Islamic, they're Christian, they're Islamic, they're Christians, but they have more progress in this respect than the United States of America. There are many small countries you can go to and your education is free all through College and University. Your medical needs are free all through the College and University. Some of them will even take care of your baby. If you are working, you are out working, you can't take care of your baby. They will take care of your baby. Yes, and many other things are given for the good of the majority. I want to see America move on in that direction. I wish that I could do that for our community right now. I wish that working brothers and sisters who have to hire bad children, bad teenagers or bad old folks with bad habits to come in their house and babysit for them. I wish that we could have a babysitting program where you could have good Muslim, good Muslim supervision for your children while you go to work with no expense to you unless you had the money to pay. If your means were small, free to you. We have a farm. We want to go that farm. We want to make it a family project. Did I say family? I mean WCIW in this area. We want to make it a community project. The brothers are doing a good job out there. They're trying hard. I hope they're in tune with the leadership. I don't want to see them get disappointed when harvest time comes because I'll come down there and run them off the land if they ain't in tune with this leadership. We ain't doing this to enrich any individuals. We are doing this for the total community. Ain't nobody going to exploit this community, set no bank account up and use this community to build yourself up. No, I don't do it and I won't let anybody else do it. I live on the level of the average one of you. If you don't believe it, come into my house right now. I'll show you. Come to my house for dinner today. You'll see that I eat maybe below the average one of you. That's right. What I asked you to do, I do it. I haven't eaten beef. I eat chicken, fish. I don't eat beef.

I don't get expensive cuts or anything and I don't eat like a hog because you can eat a lot of seafood food like a hog and it's still too much. Bill was still too much. That's right. You see the clothes I wear. Follow me all over the world. I go outside the United States. I wear the same thing outside the United States. I go see King Kalid, King Hassan too. I go see them in just what you see me in right now. No jewelry, no fancy nothing. See, that's about maybe a dollar 50 cents. Pay a seamstress, maybe $5. Sister Carolyn gave me this. I thank her for it. I hope she make me a black one. I need a change. My wife and myself and my children, we could enjoy a little more, but until all of us can get a little more, I have to wait. I wait. Then when all of us can get a little more, we all will get a little more. If I had a billion dollars today, I would live just like I live now until I saw the community rise up high enough so I can get a little more.

Right. Dear beloved brothers and sisters, we have some expenses on us that are not rational. This doesn't make sense, but our sentiments are involved. I mean very dear, very deep rooted sentiment. I hope all of our Masjids are on hookup today because I want this message to go out to all of you who have supported this community with your charity and with your person, yourselves. Our leader, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, the late leader. He always did want to have a very dignified, prosperous Nation of Islam. He wanted to show Bilalians that they could even have world fame, world honor, material success within the Nation of Islam. So, he pushed for followers who didn't have money to give without a sacrifice. None of us were rich to give without feeling it. We all gave and it was a sacrifice. But he pushed us to sacrifice from our $80 a week wages, $50 a week wages, a hundred dollars, $200 a week wages. And very few were over 200, very, very few. He pushed us to give, sacrifice from our home life, sacrifice from everything so that the community would get greater and greater image in the world, in the world's eyes for material success.

That drive to impress the educated and those greedy for material things so that they would come in and enlarge the ranks of the Muslims have left on us great burden, unreasonable burden. In fact, this building here is unreasonable. It' prestigious, it makes me feel good. I know it makes you feel good. I hope we never lose it. I don't want to give it up. But believe me, if I were your leader and we had a million dollars or could get a $3 million loan from Ledia, I wouldn't answer for this building. I would take about $200,000 and build you a building that would accommodate this many people, and use the 3 million that we wouldn't spend to do other things, for education and making better job opportunities. I'm not saying that the leader did wrong. No, in his leadership, he did right. In his leadership, he did the wise thing. When we had small places and inferior places, we had 12, 14, 26, 36 people at the most. When the Honorable Elijah Muhammad got this big prestigious place, the ranks built, multiplied tenfold. Yes, he saw that our people wanted a show. They just wanted a show. They want to see some material show. That's why these big fancy churches, elaborate churches had so many people supporting, following the preachers. Because poor people, coming from 39th and State, they like to walk in a big prestigious church that make them feel for the moment that they are big shots.

It's a good psychology and it was good for us. It made us think more of ourselves. It made us see ourselves in bigger image. It was good for us, especially in that time because at that time the mind was shaped for that kind of influence. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad called us to good money, I mean to good homes, plenty money, friendship in all walks of life. So he actually baited us with money, good homes and popularity in the world, friendships in all walks of life. That was the bait. So, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad needed this kind of thing, but now what you need is a strict Islamic socialist program.

You need to join me. Take off your jewelry. You don't need that crap. It ain't nothing but some extra burden on you, your hand. Can't even wash your hand and take your ring off. Or if you wash it, you'll rub your face with metal. Got to be careful not to get water on the watch. I don't have that problem. Nothing on my hands. What I need that crap for. "Oh, but it looks good." And you look crazy. Yeah, you look crazy. Not to the crazy world but to a sane man outside of this crazy world, you look crazy. Carrying a whole lot of mental law on your fingers. I'm not saying you can't do it, but I'm saying you would make yourself happier. You would feel better if you throw that stuff off your fingers. You don't need no rings on.

It's another form of slavery. It is. Gaudy dressing, dressing you up real gaudy, making you look like a decorated ornament or something. Another form of slavery. Earrings in your ears. Some of them got them in the nose. Saw one stuck through the lip. So, when you get weak for that kind of thing, they can carry you to extremes and make you look just like fools. We are going to have to make a decision on the National House. The National House is very dear to us because it was the home, personal home of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. The moment I knew how much it cost to live in that place, I got up and got out of it. I never wanted to live in it at first. I was only looking for excuse to get out of it cause it is against my taste. That's not taking anything away from the leader. It was needed for the kind of program he had, but me, I'm not of that day. I'm not of that kind of idea. And that's against my taste. So, when I found out how much it costs, all the servants, I have to have servants in this place?

All this electricity, everything. Electricity. Don't even need nobody to shovel the snow. Electricity melt the snow off before it can stick on the ground. You know all that snow we had this winter, this last winter? None of it stuck on the ground. You know how much it cost us for that? About $20,000 every time the electric bill came around. Pardon me, not 20,000. I'm sorry I put it out there. $2000, better than $2,000 every time the electric bill came around, I think over the year. Where's Brother Mustafa? He can give us the figure on this. 22, something like that. Can Brother Mustafa, can you give me the cost on the National House, the electricity. A year, a year. $22,000 a year for the electric bill. So, we are talking about a salary, a good salary for a person every week. I mean a good salary. That's about $300, isn't it, a week? That's just electric bill. Then we have a very enormous water bill. The place is not just reasonable for us. So, what we have to do is decide on something for that National House that will take it out of tax, being taxed.

Like an institution, a high institution of learning, a museum, something that wouldn't be taxed and something that would satisfy the sentiments of most of the Muslims. Great majority of the Muslims. I thought about a number of things but frankly everything I think about is expensive. We can sell it to outsiders. One outsider even suggests that we possibly could lease it to outsiders. He said that he himself had been trying to form plans for Hall of Fame for musicians. And he says the Honorable Elijah Muhammad had a great following among the musicians, especially the jazz musicians and that's true. He still does. A lot of the musicians, they feel indebted to the Honorable Elijah Muhammad because he saved them from their crazy wild thinking. A lot of them came off of narcotics because of him. Some began to appreciate themselves as creators of music because of him. You, see? So, he's right there, but it's an easy way out. But I'm wondering if the Muslims would accept this. I don't think so. Majority wouldn't. We have some other alternatives. We could make it a special kind of institute of learning. When I say special, we could find some small unique project that would be funded by people who support fine pursuits in the field of higher learning. Maybe even a technical institute. We have a brother who've got a patent for an invention that he himself created purifying water. He himself is a scientist. Maybe we could find a brother like that. Maybe another person with promising experiments or projects and let them set up something technical in there. And if it can accommodate larger participation, we can even open it up for others. Sometimes a small thing like that, introduce big things to the world. So don't think it's the size of a structure, no, it's the quality of a structure. If you bring the right quality operation in there and the structure itself is prestigious, you never can tell what might come out of it and it will be supported by people who recognize the worth of such a project. Then again, I'm thinking that anything that goes in there, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad's name will be on it in some connection. As the one who made the building possible or as the one who has been a leader in this particular field because he promoted it or encouraged it.

So, his name would be on the building. His name is not going off the building. Don't worry about that. A gold plaque will be on the building or brass, something that will hold up good with his name on it. But I'm thinking there's a sister, she wants to see an Islamic museum. She wants to see a big museum. I do too, but I'm thinking that that National House may also be a good idea for a small Islamic museum that will not deal with a large variety of displays that are exhibits that an ordinary Islamic museum would carry, but will have special exhibits, very select, very select exhibits. And I am thinking of asking the Muslim world to send us a Number one Hafiz to recite Qur'an in that kind of museum. And to offer special training to a select number. Never no more than maybe three or five persons. Select training to a very select number of persons in our community and outside of our community. Who would want to get that kind of Hafiz training. I think that would be a great idea. An Islamic museum that will bring in special films on the Holy places in the Muslim countries. On the Grand Mosque that are in Muslim lands, on precious Islamic kinds of sights you can see that you perhaps never will see because you're not going to travel that wide. We could bring those sights in along with precious museum pieces. Maybe we can get the Turkish museum, Islamic Turkish museum to give us something that no other museum could get. No, non-Muslim museum could get it. Maybe they could give us something so dear and precious, they will bring a Muslim all the way from Washington to come to the National House and see it. I think we can get that. But let me tell you what we have to do. I'm telling you what we think. Now let me tell you what is a must. We have to put that National House to some practical use and we have to do it fast. Not only that, any other piece of property that's just sitting up taking money out of these poor people's hands, and that's mine too. The more you get the less I got. And this gas going up, I don't want to ask you for no more money. It's getting hard for all of us now.

In fact, I'm thinking of opening up a bicycle shop. There are some people who love the Honorable Elijah Muhammad so much with a sentimental love that they don't want to see nothing go in that house. They don't want to see anything go in his bedroom. But let me tell you, for a people to grow up and become a great people, you have to be able to rise up above narrow kinds of sentimental feelings and ideas. I think it will do more, contribute more to the greatness and dignity of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad if we make that house a National Islamic museum, a National Islamic museum dedicated to the labor of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad to dignify the Bilalian people. Wouldn't that be great? Well you Imams out there, I want you to send me back the response that you're getting out there. The response I'm getting in here tell me that I have Chicago's support to make the National House an Islamic Museum. So, once I get the word from the Council of Imams that the majority of the Muslims in our community support this idea, we are going to begin right away to make that house a National Museum that will take away the taxes. We will put some money in there. We'll take out that expensive electricity and plumbing and et cetera that they put in there just to keep this community economically suppressed. I'll take that stuff out of there. We will put reasonable fixtures in there. We will put gas in there and that Museum will be reasonable and we'll have contributions coming from all the world Insha Allah. Chicago, I believe I can say we have a majority vote for that program. Let's see you stand. All those in favor of it. All those in favor. We have a unanimous decision in Chicago to make the National House and Islamic Museum. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. Unanimous decision in Chicago. All Praises due to Allah. Few other comments. Well, I just want to express my thanks to the sister who made the cap for me and to others who have given me gifts of robes. I have a bath robe that was made by a sister, house shoe slippers. He made it almost I believe three years ago and believe me it's still good, just as good. And I have several other things that was given to me. So much was coming in. I had to make an announcement, "Don't give me any gifts."

And believe me the announcement is still on. Don't give me any gifts because when you got a whole community giving a person gifts, he gets too much. So please, as much as I love to accept it, just your desire. I know the desire is in the sisters and brothers to give me something personal sometimes. I thank you very much for it, but when you see me give me As Salaam Alaikum, and the look in your face will tell me that you would like to give me a coat, a jacket, shoes and everything. Now that doesn't mean that if you send something I'll throw it away. So, if you send something, I'll keep it if I can use it. If I can't use it, I'll give it to somebody else that can use it. But I discourage this. So please don't be encouraged to send me gifts. There's a sister Kumasi. She's a sister who was the victim of an attacker, an armed attacker. She was shot, right point blank. Bullet went through, I'm told, She was shot more than once. The sister wasn't in the hospital, I don't think nothing but a week or so if that long. The sister out walking around as she is preaching support for Al Islam.

The sister has been made a stronger Muslim. A lot of us would take a misfortune like that as a bad sign and become weak in our faith. The sister took it as a good sign that Allah is with her, that Allah is with Imam. She told me, she said, "Brother Imam, I'm with you. Don't worry, I'll never leave this community." So, with her misfortune, Allah strengthened her faith so strong that now she's going to make many other strong because of her own strength. Is sister Kamasi, is she here? Is she here today? No, she's not. I guess she's not here today. She'll be here. She's here often. She's very, very frequent, very regular in her attendance. Well, when she comes around we want her to come here and tell the community her experience. She says she wants, she might be out somewhere propagating right now. That sister may be at some church or on some corner propagating the teachings of Al Islam. She told me through others, she got the word to me that she wants to talk to the sisters because she believes that her misfortune has been turned into a fortune.

She wants to tell the sisters, she wants to tell the sisters, come up, I can't hear you back there. She wants to tell the sisters that the Islamic dress should be supported more by the Muslim sisters. She says when she were attacked she had on pants and her hair wasn't covered. She wasn't looking Islamic. And she believe that G-d has used her to tell the sisters that they are to support the Islamic dress more. So dear people, that's the extent of my talk today. I want to hear what the sister has to say and then if that won't prolong me more here, I'm going to give you the greeting. Yes, all the teenagers who can come out tomorrow at 1:30 to the school, please come out. Sister Kamasi want to speak to the teenagers. But believe me, I can excuse a lot of these teenagers for short dresses and pants. Because after all they're young and they're just getting there. You know what I mean? And the teenagers, well that's it. But what about these sisters? What about the sister that already got a husband. Been married three or four times and she still want to show us the contour of her whole body. Want you to see an X-ray, a structural X-ray of her body. What about those sisters? I want this sister to speak to all of these sisters. In fact, sister, I want you to speak to these brothers. Some of them don't dress Islamic. Come out with pants on so tight we can count your change, can tell you whether the quarter is heads or tails in your pants. Yeah, pants so tight, you can look at his pocket and tell him the quarter is heads. Gonna have a big six foot four, 300 pound brother raping you. You keep dressing like that. Don't demoralize the community. Keep the Islamic life alive in you. I am proud of these sisters who love that dress. Ain't nobody forcing these sisters to dress like that. These sisters have been dressing like that for so many years they love it. Oh yes, and they look decent and beautiful. This sister was a good sister. Believe me, she wasn't vulgar. This sister's a good sister, Sister Kumasi. She might have been dressed in pants and everything. Still she was a good sister even in her pants, she was a good sister.

And Allah has shown her that she has a mission, carried her through something that would've most likely.... People don't come through that. It's almost a miracle that she was shot like that. I think she was shot in the leg, shot in the chest, and in the hands. Hand, leg and chest. So, we thank Allah for saving our sister and we sure that He has an important work for her to do and I think she's found it. She found it. So, we don't have to push her anymore. She's going to be pushing us. I think it's going to be a inspiration and encouragement to all of us. I know it is to me, make me more determined, stronger, more enthusiastic to get out there and do more work for Allah. Thank you very much for your patience. Didn't intend to hold you this long, but I think we accomplished something today. Hope to see you Friday for Jumu'ah. Those who can afford to come out and next Sunday at 1:00 PM Thank you and Peace be unto you, As Salaam Alaikum.
Speaker 1:
Okay brother and sisters, before we leave, those who don't have to leave right now, if you have to do not have to leave right now. We'd like to make some few announcements and repeat some of the important announcements that was made earlier. So, if you don't have to leave right now, your moving about can hinder people from hearing.
Speaker 2:
Brothers and sisters, we have three things that we'd like to complete before we depart. First thing we would like to do is ask, is there anyone here for the first visit? Has never been to Masjid Muhammad before? Do we have any first visitors here? Would you please stand Sister. Is anyone else here for the first visit? The brother over here. Anyone else? Anyone down here? Raise your hand.

We have another sister in the back. Good. Brother and sisters, what we would like to ask you are the same questions that everyone in here was asked upon their exposure to this religion and this teaching. We'd like to ask you if you enjoyed what you heard here this afternoon. If you understand what you heard here this afternoon, and we would like for you to realize that this broadcast that you heard for the past two, three hours was in every major city across the country. Also like the stress again that the brothers of The World community Of Al Islam in the West are being asked to participate in the parade activities. That's the new World Patriotism Day parade activities. And those who have not been designated in some area of activity right now we have a drill team that is being coordinated by Brother Shaheed Muslim, who was a very good cadence caller and drill captain. And the brothers are meeting every Sunday morning at 10 o'clock and Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7:00 PM. So those who are not involved in something right now, please get involved in this activity. I think you'll enjoy it. Six o'clock? Wednesdays and Thursdays at six o'clock. Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursday. All right, that is Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays at six o'clock. Drill instructions, drill practice, and Sundays at 10 o'clock. Alright? Okay, we'd like to close out with our du'a prayer. Oh, before we do that, are there any persons visiting with us today for your first time or perhaps some other time, any number of times who would like to become registered members of this community? All that is required is that you make a simple declaration of faith. All those willing to do so please come forward.

I would like to ask, I would like to ask Brother Imam Muhammed Nur, to lead you in that declaration.
Imam Muhammad Nur:
Your name.
Robert Walker:
My name is Robert Walker, but I prefer to be called by my Muslim name Abdul because I'm from Los Angeles. I visit the Mosque there in Los Angeles. I'm living in Chicago now.

Willi McCullough:

Okay. To became Muslim is very simple. That one declare faith openly in front of all his brother and that to declare that there is no G-d but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. I'm going say this in Arabic first, then the brother is to join me in it. Then he's going to say that in English.

Ash Ha du An La, Ilaha Il Allah. Wa Ash hadu Ana Muhammadan Rasulallah. This means I bear witness that there's no G-d, but Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.
Imam Muhammad Nur:
Yes. Okay. This brother now he's a brother, a member in the Muslim world. Not only our community all over the world he is one of our brothers. Allhamdulilah brother bless you.

Now this brother. Ash Hadu An La Ilaha Il Allah. Wa Ash Hadu Ana Muhammadan Rasul Allah.
Will McCullough:
I bear witness that there is no G-d except Allah. And I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.
Audience:
Takbir. Allahu Akbar
Imam Muhammad Nur:
Now you brothers are Muslims. We thank Allah for blessing you to take your Shahada.
Audience:
Takbir. Allahu Akbar.
