By Imam W. Deen Mohammed
As salaamu alaikum. Arabic. We praise G-d. We worship nothing but him. We worship him alone. He is one and does not accept any help from any, unless that help comes as a servant, there is only master and servants. Allah is master alone, and all others are servants, including the prophets, all of them. They were servants of G-d. And the most honorable title for any creature is Servant of G-d Al Hamdulillah hir Rabbil al Amin. We worship him and we worship him only. We witness that Muhammad to whom the Qur'an was revealed is his servant and his messenger and a mercy to all the worlds. We witness that he's the Seal of the Prophets mentioned in the Qur'an by G-d, as that one that is given in the Torah and in the Injeel, or in what is called the Torah and the Gospel now, as a liberator, educator, teacher, liberator and in the Qur'an Allah mentions that he, Muhammad the Prophet is mentioned also in the books of the people... In the book of the People of the Books.
I mean the People of the Books in the books; the People of the Book and the language is still in the Bible. I have read it. The language given in the Qur'an is in the Bible. In the Qur'an G-d, says of him, "He will take from them the yolk that weigh them down and break the bonds of slavery. Slavery, to all except to G-d, the human being must be free to serve G-d." And if we understand it, even the religion had been taken by the oppressors, by the wrong doers, and the religion too, had to be freed for G-d. We think many of us, the reference to the religion being freed to G-d is only to the struggle of prophet Muhammad with the message, the Qur'an, the book, and message the Qur'an. But no, religion itself was in the hands of oppressors. When Allah gave the world Muhammad as a mercy to all the worlds, the religion itself was in the hands of the oppressors. And Allah says through Muhammad, and his followers, "And fight them until there is no more persecution and religion is free for G-d."
So, we must remember that when we read in the Qur'an, that Muhammad, salla Allahu alaihi wa salam, prayers and peace be on him, is a man like Moses, a man raised up from among the brethren like Moses. We are to remember that Moses too was a fighter in the path of G-d opposing the oppressors who had religion as a tool for enslaving the people, the religion itself was used to enslave the people. Like Moses, Muhammad was given to the world to free, not only the people from bondage in slavery, but to free also the word of G-d from being used by the oppressors to enslave the people. And many people today in religion are nothing but slaves of men. They're not serving G-d except through the men that they see as their masters and their masters are ruling them. Yes. So, this can't be in Islam. In Islam, we have only one master, that master is the G-d who created us and everything, highly praised is he Subhana wa ta Ala, highly glorified and praised is he. Islam is an easy religion. It's not a hard religion.
G-d says that, "We shall teach you an easy way." To Muhammad, he says, and he says to us, he, "He want not hardship for us, but he wants that we be purified." That we be purified. And that's the difficulty, the difficulty comes for us who are weak in the face of the temptations of the world. That's the difficulty. But if we purify ourselves, then that burden becomes easy. It becomes an easy burden to carry. To carry yourself in obedience to G-d, to stay away from unclean things and to stay away from the corruptible things. It becomes easy once you purify yourself. When you practice purification, making wudu before you pray, and being in the spirit of cleanliness, you're not just doing it unconsciously, you do it consciously.
It is said and recorded in Bukhari and Muslim that the Prophet, peace be upon him was teaching, and he told the people that in the end of the world, pardon me, in the latter world, in the latter world, the world to come, the people will be making wudu and light will be seen coming from their hands and from the water they're using, light. It is the light of purification, but it is the light too, of knowledge. Where they're not doing something without knowledge behind it, without knowledge supporting it. They're doing something that has knowledge behind it and knowledge supporting it. The wudu preserves a knowledge, a knowledge, a higher knowledge. And in the hereafter, they will have that knowledge. And the light of that knowledge will be in the water of their wudu. And it will be giving off, emitting light. Just as in Bukhari and Muslim
Yes. So, it says, "Does not want burden for you, but that you be purified." And purification is necessary for us to even come from oppression into freedom, from ignorance, into understanding or into knowledge. Islamic knowledge purification is necessary. But Prophet Muhammad has said that he's given to us to purify us, and then lead us out of the darkness. Darkness is oppression as well as ignorance. Darkness is many conditions, corruption, ignorance, oppression, all this darkness. To lead us out of the darkness into the light, into the light. It is also said of purification, purification is the bulwark of religion, or it is half the religion.
If a river is seen having two banks, the water running through the land, cut through the land and there's a bank to one side and there's a bank to the other side. One of the sides is purification, that's the picture. There's a picture given to us. That is Arabic. One of the sides is purification, the shore, sea shore is called Arabic. One of the sides is purification is described as purification, and the other side is not. So, it is half of the faith, half of the faith, because there are two sides to the river. So, purification is half of the faith.
That's the way it's given. And it is the first it is needed firstly, purification. And we know Iman is needed too. If we are to be saved, faith will save us the right faith, the Prophet, praise G-d for him. The Prophet said, "You will never get into the paradise until you have faith, until you have faith." And he said, "And you will never have faith until you practice loving one another, practice loving one another." You notice the bad people, if they don't care about doing right, they don't care about people either. So really those who practice loving one another, they have become to some appreciable measure, lovers of purity, lovers of purity.
Yes. When you love obeying G-d, love being clean, love being correct in your mind and in your actions, then you love one another more. So really this is a growth of the soul, isn't it? It's just a growth or development for the soul. And if you have growth, progress for growth of the soul in the way of appreciating your brother and your sister, your mother and your father, your friend and your neighbor, that growth is not by itself. That growth has been proceeded by a desire to be correct in your thinking, in your feelings, or in your heart. It has been proceeded by a desire to be correct. So already you have started to purify yourself. You've been a person who wanted to be pure at heart.
All of these developments are characteristic of growth for the soul of the human being. And the evidence is in the eyes of that person. The evidence is in the behavior of that person. The evidence is in the facial expressions of that person. So, no one can be a real true believer and hide it. It's going to be seen in your eyes. It's going to be seen in your facial expressions as well as, and more pronouncedly is going to be seen in your speech. When you speak, we going to feel your faith in G-d. When you speak to us using common language, everyday common language, like, "Are you going to the store this morning? Would you like to have some breakfast with me this morning?" No matter what it is, we are going to feel your faith in your language. If you really have it.
So don't think a nonbeliever can come among us and hide. We know believers from nonbelievers. G-d have always, since time began, G-d has mocked the disbeliever. He's mocked, just like a secret service man. I could identify him anytime. Anytime they couldn't hide from me, they got a mark. They marked. So is the... What they call him? The informant? The informant, the stool pigeon. That's what we used to call them. So, the stool pigeon, they're marked. He's marked, he can't hide, he's marked. But he thinks he's hidden? No, you're not hidden. Not among people of faith, people of faith, know one another, you read in the Qur'an they'll be known, they'll be known by the mark. This was in the Old Bible, the Bible, before the Qur'an. "They'll be known by the mark on their foreheads." And you think it just means that mark you get from pressing your head on the sand and stuff. You think that's what it means. No, that mark is just a sign of a more permanent mark.
The more permanent mark is the mark of righteousness and sincerity and faith that radiates. And when you look at him, you know. And if he's a practicing Muslim, you look closely, you'll see the sign of his prostration. Especially if he's doing... This is paradise stuff here you got; this is not the way the followers... The followers didn't have these prayer rugs and all this stuff. They would've lost all their marks on their forehead if they had this nice thick carpet like this, that won't put a mark on your forehead, praise be to Allah.
So, let's know the way of life in Al-Islam, and let's devote ourselves as we should devote ourselves to obedience to G-d in everything. Don't leave G-d out of anything, in everything. I practice. And I try to get my family to practice with me, to wake up in the morning with Allah on my mind, and to keep Allah on my mind and go to sleep, asking Allah for his protection. Live with Allah on your mind all the time. The first thing we should hear in our ears when we are awakened in the morning, is G-d is greater, Allahu Akbar. That's what we should hear because we should be awakened by the adhan that says, "G-d is greater." The first words says, G-d is greater. Allahu Akbar.
And when we are awake, we should be aware. That it is G-d that created us to have activity and rest, activity and rest, life and death. That we should say, "Praise be to G-d who gives us life after death. Al Hamdulillah aledhi akyana ba'da Arabic. Praise be to G-d who gives us a life after we have died, after death, and to him is the eventual return. Arabic. And to him is the eventual return." So, this is a person that lives with an awareness that he didn't make himself. He couldn't create human being, that G-d gave him his existence, and G-d made him living. And G-d will make him dead one day. And G-d will raise him up from his death and give him life again.
And to G-d is the eventual return. So let us live. As I said, a life in complete obedience to G-d, the one who created us, and let us seek the knowledge of how to live this religion that we claim for ourselves as Muslims from the Qur'an, the word of G-d, to Muhammad, revealed to Muhammad for all the people, and the tradition, the life tradition of the prophet Muhammad, how he lived. Many people will tell you how he lived. Just like many people will describe Chicago to you. Some people will describe Chicago to you, and they'll tell you nothing, but the Lake Shore.
So, know that the people who read about Prophet Muhammad they're the same. They're no different. Some will describe Prophet Muhammad to you and tell you nothing but the story about the beauty of the Lake Shore. And others will tell you of the high buildings, and others will describe the people to you, the people of Chicago, the business of Chicago, etcetera. So, Muhammad had many facets, has many facets. But altogether, taking all of those features of him together, they spell what? The messenger, the servant and messenger of G-d, to the world. And the last of them, the Seal of the Prophets.
What is meant by Seal of the Prophets? He's the one who comes after people have lost the purity of their books that they received. So, they've lost the purity of the books. The purity of the books is gone. For the Jews, for the Christians, for all the purity of the book is gone. A book, not exactly the way they received them and their prophets are not even perceived as they should be perceived. Muhammad comes as the last messenger, prophet and messenger of G-d. And he comes with a complete message. It's completed. With a complete message. Each one made a contribution before him. He comes with the complete message. Then what he gives is proof and even a kind of revelation revealing what the others received and what their mission was, what their mission was. So, the seal means he comes to give the world the truth of those that went before him. Those that came before him. To give the world the truth of those that came before him and to restore honor to them where they lost honor.
To raise a man up to G-d, and he's only a human being is to take away much of his honor, we say, "Oh no, they gave him the honor that's to be given to G-d," but he's a man. He's a human. And he wouldn't like that you do that for him if he's truthful, if he was a truthful servant of G-d. So, you did take away his respect, you took away his respect and his honor by lifting a human being up to G-d. So, the prophet that comes and clears it up restored honor back to even Jesus Christ, peace be upon him and Muhammad the Prophet. Can you see this? Yes. Muhammad is the Seal of the Prophets and the most, I would say disrespected prophet in all the scriptures of the people of the book is Jesus Christ. The prophet, the Christ messenger, the Christ prophet of G-d. He's the most disrespected and the most robbed of them all.
The most robbed of them all, robbed of the honor that G-d created for him and gave to him when he made him a son of Mary, peace be upon him and his mother, son of Mary and Christ prophet. G-d, they gave him that. And when they made him G-d, they shamed him before the world. They made him ashamed before the world. And Muhammad bringing the truth back, freed him from dishonor, shame, lies, and even corruption. Yes, that's the worst corruption of all. Allah says in the Qur'an, "Even the heavens will be outraged that they should say Allah has had a son." Isn't that something? That's something.
So, the gravity, the weight of the wrong, the crime of saying G-d had a son, is this bang, boom like that, like a bombshell in that expression. The heavens would be outraged that they say Allah had a son. And why did the people of the book want to give him to us like that? Prophet Jesus to us like that? Peace be upon him. Because they say, man is corrupt. Man is so corrupt in his nature. He's so corrupt and corruptible that he needs G-d himself to purify him in his flesh, G-d has to be in the man's flesh to purify and save the man from his corrupt nature.
As a human being, he cannot save himself, only as G-d can he be saved. And then if others believe him, they will be saved. Well, I'm telling you they had a burden of corruption on them. But I thank Allah, we are free. We are free today. And we... Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar. Yes, we are free today. G-d has restored honor to his servants. And G-d has restored honor to the common human person, that you can have faith in yourself, that you can improve upon your good nature that G-d created for you when you were a baby. You can improve upon that innocence upon that good nature to obey. You can improve upon it and you can save your own self. You can work and practice obedience to G-d until you become saintly and have no interest in sin at all.
Isn't that wonderful that every human being has been given that power to take his own life into his own hands she or he, and work to obey G-d in every matter? And they will become eventually saintly. Not just good, saintly without sin. Praise be to Allah. So actually, all of us can become Christ. If Christ means pure, cleansed, Messiah, cleansed. If it means that all of us can become Christ in that respect and the respect of being obedient to G-d and desiring no sin, we all can become that. If we aim for that and practice it eventually, we'll become that. And that I'm closing this out now. And I don't see anybody that has to go to work here. That's why I'm talking like this. Say, "Oh, he was wrong. He's not supposed to talk that long. He was late when he came." I found people without anything to do. So that's why I'm talking long like that.
Yes. And G-d will pay me off in the heavens. I'm not waiting for you to give me anything. Yes. In fact, you can cuss me out if you like. Relieve yourselves, I'm fine. Yes. Praise be to Allah. We are free. We are free and we can have this good life. So let us have it. Let us not short change ourselves. Let us have it. And seek the guidance of G-d, always and practice the religion as you know it should be practiced. It's not supposed to be practiced by you guessing and dreaming up your own religion. You know better than that. You know you're supposed to go to the Qur'an and you're supposed to go to the life of Muhammad the Prophet, and you are supposed to follow the better people among you. You're not supposed to follow the worst people among you.
You're supposed to follow the better people among you. And even though a man be a whiz, he has many PhDs, doctorates, if his character is bad, you're not supposed to follow him. No matter how much knowledge he has, of Qur'an and Sunna, Hadith, et cetera, you're not supposed to follow him. The first requirement is that he be a person obedient in his moral nature to G-d. That's the first requirement. Yes. And, but if he is a dummy, but he's clean and righteous and everything, but he doesn't care for education, he's a dummy, you're not supposed to follow him and ignore the brother who may not be as clean as he is, but he wants to be as clean as that person. And he's not a dummy. So let us know what is good sense and what is not good sense and live accordingly. So, we ask G-d to give us guidance always, forgive us our errors, forgive us our shortcomings, do not let our hearts go back to corruption after you have saved us from it our Lord, Amin.
Al Hamdulillah hir Rabbil al Amin, Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah wahdahu la sharikalahu wa ashhadu ana Muhammad an abduhu wa rasuluhu, salla allahu alaiha wa salam ammaba. We witness that there is one G-d, Muhammad is the messenger of G-d, servant and messenger of G-d, and we pray peace and the blessings upon him and upon his family, his companions, and what follows that traditional salute to the last prophet, the mercy to all the worlds. Dear beloved believers, Islam is a religion of works, good works not just a religion of faith. Islam is a religion of good works. As the Bible, the Qur'an says, "Religion without good works, or life without good work is nil." Is nothing. Is nothing. So, faith without good works won't be counted. You get no reward for it if there's not also good works. There's no way your faith can be correct and you don't have good works. If your faith is correct, you are going to have good works. And G-d says, "Strive in his cause with all of your might." With all of your might, all of your power strive in His cause.
So, life of religion, or religious community, or religious people is a life of struggle, effort, effort. And if some of us don't make effort, I mean, good effort, very good effort, all of us are going to be pitiful. We don't need all of us to make the hard effort, but some of us have to make the hard effort or all of us are going to be pitiful. So, you who don't make the hard effort, you have to put your weak effort behind the hard effort. Yes. Some can't do. Some are sick. Some are frail, too weak. Some are lacking spirit, they have been too damaged by the world, their psyche has been too damaged by the world, so they can't give us much. We shouldn't despair. We shouldn't become ourselves weak in hope, or weak in faith because the people won't move and won't do anything. And don't look at ourselves and blame ourselves for people that just won't move.
No, look at ourselves and see if we are doing something. And if we are doing something, then let us salute each other. Those who are doing something and let us have faith that our good works, our good work is reaching even the weakest one among us. Those that you see and you pity, they will be in a worse condition if it wasn't for people who cared about them and worked hard for the betterment of all, for the whole, like Elijah Muhammad and like many others. And like your Imam W. Deen Mohammed. Since I was young, man, I've been living to see how can I fulfill what Allah wants for us. So, I will be of good help to my father and his community, which was called the Temple of Islam, The Nation of Islam.
When I was guided more to see further. I began to realize that my life behind me had prepared me to really be of special service in this time. So, I use that for this time. Yes. And certainly, I use the Qur'an, and the life of Muhammad more than I use anything else. That's what we all have to do. I reflect on it. I extract from it. I take from it and I get my resources in my hand. And I do my work. And G-d is rewarding us, rewarding us, both for our faith and for our work. Many have been faithful and patient. You didn't know what to do because the way sometimes was very, very dark.
You didn't know what to do, but you believed. You weren't going to turn around. You were going to remain until Allah, gives you better or more. So, Allah is now rewarding, not just you. I was in that position too, rewarding our faith, our patience, and also rewarding our good works. Because many, they didn't know how to build a nation, but they knew how to give, how to work hard, how to give and work for an honest dollar and give money, give charity. So that the Honorable Elijah Muhammad would be able to do more for them. They knew how to do that. So, you build, even though you didn't have the knowledge to build, you had the industry, you had the activity in you to go out and earn an honest dollar and give most of it to the cause.
Now you think a just G-d is not going to reward you and appreciate you for that. "Oh, but we weren't believing right." That doesn't matter. That doesn't matter at all. The people who followed Moses, they weren't believing right either. But they got the benefits of what Moses was given if they stayed with Moses. Right? Yes. And Muhammad the Prophet what did he say? "Once you accept the religion of Islam all that you did in ignorance is wiped from the slate, clean from your records." So, if you were going on thinking that you were doing Islam the right way, and then something happens and shows you, "No, you were missing here and there. And you were missing in a real important place. How you were looking at G-d." If it clears it up for you and you accept that, and you feel comfortable now, don't look back at the past and hate yourself. Look back in your past and love yourself in your innocence and in your righteousness. You were striving in your innocence and you had righteousness even before you had light. It was the righteousness of your faith.
Now, when the light come on don't dislike yourself, say, "Oh, I was a disbeliever." You were a believer. How could a disbeliever stay with G-d until light comes on the path? That's not a disbeliever. That's a believer who will stay with G-d until light come on the path. Yes. "Oh, I was... They weren't... We weren't believers." Yes. You were believers. If you weren't believers, you couldn't have stayed here, baby. I know. You couldn't run around here. Yes. You had to be a believer. You were a very strong believer.
The Honorable Elijah Muhammad had some of the strongest believers on this earth. And that's a fact. I envy him. I tell you. I'm looking for some of those believers. He had the strong believers; praise be to Allah. So that when light comes on the path, you should love yourself for being faithful, and patient, holding on, love yourself for that. Muhammad the Prophet, what did he say of people who were given credit for having excellent behavior or excellent character in the time of Islam? He says, this is recorded in Bukhari and Muslim too, he says "Those who had good behavior in the time of ignorance have good behavior now."
Oh no, no. Pardon me, that's the other way around. "Those who are of good behavior now, were of good behavior in the time of ignorance." So, if you have it in your heart to be right, you will be right until knowledge comes. And that's exactly what the sincere followers of Elijah Muhammad did. They tried to be as righteous as they could be and had the patience to wait until knowledge came. And that's the note that I want to close this khutbah on today. And thank brother Ali, and those who have helped him and our Imam Dr. Ramadan for bringing life to this building, the real life, the life that G-d wants us, Islamic life, the life of Islam, the life of Muslims to this building. Where this building now is just not a building for furniture, it's a building for G-d, a building for G-d.
Congratulations to you all. And I thank you Imam for inviting me to address you here today. And we pray to G-d to reward all of you for your faith and clear your eyes. So, you can see how to go into your field of work and become a producer and produce the community life in all of its designs, education, schools, mosque, masjid, housing, employment, healthcare, all of it. Start with what we can do now, but keep the community vision in focus. Allah invites us to establish community life. When Muhammad the Prophet left his persecutors in Mecca, he went to Medina Munawara, the city of enlightenment. He went there and he started right away, building a community, building a society, building a community. There wouldn't be Islamic community life in that part of the world now had Muhammad the prophet not started it and in Medina Al-Munawara.
So that's our object. He's a man like Moses. Moses led his followers out of oppressive Egypt, out into the desert where they didn't have anything to start with. The deserts of the human soul and intellect. Went out there with nothing but ignorant people, had to be all taught, given a new life, given a new mind and a new way of life. Muhammad did the same thing for the ignorant people of the ignorant age called jahiliyah in Arabia. Same thing, enlightenment for G-d and cultural development upon that enlightenment for G-d, the whole of Arabia was nothing but a desert, it was all undeveloped, all, nothing but a desert. But the Bible prophesied or in the Bible it is prophesied, "And from the desert streams of water shall flow to make a garden again, to cultivate it, bring life to it. So, it could be cultivated and become a source of beauty life and beauty again." That's what happened in Medina. Yes. And because of it, the whole world got the benefit and became more civilized after Muhammad than it ever was before Muhammad.
Salla Allahu alaihi wa salam. So don't forget that we can't do it alone. I can't, you can't. But together we can. And if we strive hard, being sincere worshipers of Allah, and followers of the last prophet, the mercy to all the worlds Muhammad, we can realize in five years, a material change in our life that will make all the American whites and non-whites and non-blacks pardon me and those even overseas say, "Hey, that might be a sign there. G-d, is alive. G-d is great. Those people are proof. We knew what they were before, but look what they are now."
I believe in my heart that Allah wants us so that we will be a sign to the world that G-d is the same G-d, and is as powerful and as present as he ever was. Same G-d that brought up the people of Moses. Same G-d that brought up Muhammad and brought up the ummah in the other parts of the world. Now that ummah is sleeping, that ummah is confused. The problem can be solved right here. If we measure up to the invitation, respect and measure up to the invitation to become Inmatin hasa'atin, G-d says, Antum Khyra ummatan ukrejat lin naas, you are the best of communities brought out or evolved for the benefit of mankind." If we do it here in America, if it be done in the poor, for some reason, the educated, the professional classes of whites, they're not turned on to Islam, they respect it. But for some reason, they're not converting to it and not confessing Islam publicly.
Their testimony, won't be a greater sign for the world, for G-d, a testimony for G-d, we make our Shahada for G-d. And our life is our Shahada. Also, for G-d, it will not be as great a testimony as the testimony of people who came from our past and our circumstances. And if we stand up and fulfill the prophecy, hey, the end of time has come. And the common man is competing in society for the building of skyscrapers. Pardon me, the building of skyscrapers. We can do that. And do it not for a Pharaoh's glory. Pharaoh built great things too. He built great, great cities and great monuments, but he told his workers to build it for Pharaoh's glory. That's what he told them, "Build it for Pharaoh's glory." We will be building for Allah's glory, to glorify G-d, to praise G-d with our works, to glorify G-d. And G-d is with us. And we are going to be successful, things are happening fast for our benefit.
And I'm desperate. I'm really desperate to reach as many of you as I possibly can reach in hopes of sparking life in you so that you will be bright eyed and energetic and ready to do great things. Because the time is here right now, the opportunities are astounding. Astounding. You'll see soon. If you want the best sausage, I'm ready for a taste test anytime anybody else is ready. I'll put a blindfold on people and you'll never know. I'm ready for a taste test. You want the best sausage? EggMate. You want halal meats? EggMate. Slaughtered by us, USDA approved, the fresh meat is waiting, six cows slaughtered by us the Islamic way, zabiha. Slaughtered zabiha, the Islamic way of slaughter. Government agent cutting, slicing into the head of the cow to see if there's any defects, any diseases, the defects. They know what to look for. Got through stamped, our six cows.
We dressed them and we have cut them up and made the different cuts for you. And Allah as my witness, I'm for real. I do not invite you to something that I do something different. No, I get my meats from us now. The stores have lost my business. The other stores have lost my business. I get my meats from us, whatever we got that's what I get. He knows, he sees me come in there and buy it. I get my meats from us. I get my canned good, I get everything. Whatever we got, I get it from us. How are we going to be successful if we are digging the foundation out from under ourselves every time we wake up in the morning, every time we wake up, we going to dig the foundation up on ourselves. Whenever you are spending your money with somebody else and you can spend it with yourself, you are just like someone digging the foundation out from under themselves. So, they fall down into an empty hole.
It's not for me. G-d wouldn't be with us. If it was for any one of us, G-d is with us because what I am doing is for us. G-d, hasn't changed. I believe what G-d told Muhammad, peace be upon him, the Prophet. I believe if I would actually throw a stone at my enemy, I won't miss him because it won't be me throwing the stone, it'll be G-d throwing the stone. And that's what Muhammad taught us. That if you obey Allah enough and practice it enough, there comes a point in your development or obedience to G-d that if you hit somebody, it is not as you hitting them, it's as G-d hitting them. And if you would throw something at them, it was not as you throwing it, it's as G-d threw it. So, what does that tell us? That you can practice obedience to G-d and reach such a point of obedience in your development, that whatever you do, G-d will be in it. So that means if I'm working, struggling to help us get back the appreciation for industry in our lives.
The Honorable Elijah Muhammad gave us that appreciation. We appreciated industry in our lives. If I'm struggling to get that back into our lives and I'm with G-d in my obedience, then my struggle is not my action alone, G-d is in my action. I know that, I'm trying to sell you all that. I know that. G-d is in my action. You'd be surprised how many prayers I prayed to get EggMate like it should be. And when it first came out, it was disappointing because the brothers, they don't have appreciation for it that I have. So, the brothers are used to making sausage for the market. So, I gave them my sausage and recipe, but not mixed thoroughly so the seasoning is not consistent throughout the meat and the texture is not there. The texture, it has to be a certain texture. It has to be mixed enough till the texture get right. So quick mixing, the texture wasn't right. The spices were lost. When you put spices, the spices dry out the meat. So, you have to add water to replace the water, have it right.
It wasn't quite right, but this one thing, for sure, they're sincere. We struggle with each other. Now we got it. And we are watching it. And pretty soon we are going to have it in beautiful packages, beautiful packages, but until then, we struggled with us and we are going to have the best we want nothing, but the best. G-d says, Antum Khyra ummatan, the best community, raised up for the good of mankind." The best community. So, if we be satisfied to aim for less than the best, are we that community? No. That community must be halal and tayyiban, meeting restrictions that G-d put on it and conforming to the best taste, quality, excellence. Thank you. Thank you.
And this is my du'a. Yeah. Business is my du'a. Yeah, I'm not just praying a prayer and putting words in the air. I pray with my works. My work is my prayer. Thank you. So let us make, ask forgiveness. Rabbanaa aatinaa fiddunya hasanatan fil akhirati hasanatan adha bannar. Arabic
